I always think thumper and hammerhead is the only characters that is broken and they been like that since TM2

My two favorites were thumper, and Mr. Grimm
Thumper is off limits during split screen. His special is like a two hit kill if executed correctly.
The specials were very bland in this game, most of them just being straight firing projectiles causing varying degrees of damage.
Fortunately, this was rectified in World Tour with much more variety, Mr Grimm's is fired in much the same way as before, but all the others are far more unique.
Bland indeed, TM2 is one of my favorite games of all time which i still play even after 25+ years but i feel close to nothing when watching TM1, they really imroved the sequel when compared to this.
Yes they are. But it was their first attempt at making a game. So I let it slide
Yes, the specials in TM1 are very bland. It's their first attempt to make a new sub-genre. So they have a free pass here. Their TM1 experience let to the creation of TM2 and we all love that masterpiece!

Though, Roadkills Javelin's aren't very Powerful. They're Average at Best.
they apparently have some homing, which may explain the higher power rating

Darkside is trash here. Slow, heavy, and weak special weapon. Good thing they improved Darkside in PS2 Twisted Metal Black.
True. Your best bet is to stock Turbos and ram people.
I beat this game with everybody without passwords. Darkside was by far the hardest playthrough.
But he have one of the best armors in the game. I think only Minion have a better armor than Darkside.
@@fantasmaregular6475 When you play as Darkside iit can be hard to get out of the situation of being chased and shot. In Twisted Metal 1 speed is more important than armor.
@@chesspunk489 that’s most twisted metal. Actually aerial combat as well. P38 lighting beat a zero do to speed lol crazy.
Twisted Metal 3 was a better game .
