- Twisted Metal PS3 Special Weapons in training mode. Recorded on original hardware(FAT PS3) with an Elgato HD.
No players, NPCs or soundtrack so you can hear and see the special in its glory. Witness the twisted vehicles in action.
LEGEND:
[C]Comboable(can chain the attack to maximize damage)
[SE]Spectre Effect(phases through walls)
[FLY]Special grants ability to fly or projectile primarily uses vertical elevation for attacks.
[HE]Homing Effect(Zones a target vehicle)
[RF]Rear Firable(able to be fired backward - use Down on DPAD)
[HV]High Velocity: fast projectile/special, requiring quick reaction to avoid or pressures opponent.
[TF]Tap Fire rate of fire is determined by frequency of your button inputs.
[MA]Manual Aim. Has to be aimed by player at a vehicle with no aim assistance.
[DoT]Damage Over Time: Does damage over time after the initial hit, chipping health away.
[AoE]Area of Effect(attack hits many targets simultaneously in a spherical/circular radius)
[J]Jumpable(negate all damage and effect from this special by well timed L1+R1 or by stunting)
[CS123]Charge Stages(Hold and Hit Fire Weapon on Red Threshold to Charge Next Stage, numbers denote how many stages)
[B]Bonus(Efficient use with the special will gain maximum damage, pressure and dominion)
[S/F/EMP](Slows Car/Stops Car Movement/Engine Stall's the car[s])
[KB]Knockback(Changes position of target on the Battleground, causing target to become disorientated or fall into OoB)

The Death Coffin sometimes using banging and muffled cries instead of the dead guy hanging out of the coffin everytime was a nice touch.
For me, it's the alternation of Darkside's horn with the doppler effect. I cannot beat a good truck rushing you at 100+ mph.

Was recording:
Specials (this is the main bulk) and their bonuses (this will be done through all Twisted Metals) via the Co-op option to show damage values and techniques. Inventory and their bonuses will be included as promised (such as Swamer MEGA DAMAGE! and POINT BLANK! and the voice overs).
Then all full playthroughs of all vehicles.
Then trivia. Personally I have a big theory for Twisted Metal and it's upcoming show (its real).
So far: The PS3 yet again shat itself (HDMI port shorted out apparently according to a repairman in 2018) and needed a warranty check. Around that time I also got a very nasty chest infection that lasted a good week or two and generally made me lethagric as hell. With some applied willpower, I effectively unlocked everything whilst suffering from that fucking headshot glitch over 30-50 times as Darkside, Axel, Sweet Tooth, Roadkill and Juggernaut, used Crimson Fury to finish that horrible final boss on Twisted difficulty.
Other than that, I am currently using the Local Area Network feature of this game with unlimited weapons, Co-Op to showoff the bonuses, training to show off the animations and sounds again without opponents (so it will be similar to what you are watching minus the autism). As for the older versions, the same is to be done.
This comment will be updated periodically with further information as it enroaches its completion. This will be extended also to the other Twisted Metal entries as to manage it better but to also provide a much more Twisted experience.
What bloody luck my HDCP bypass has also given up the ghost. No worries I AM going to get this done and more. Even though the game itself is fairly old, I am still inclined in 2020 to get this redone with playthroughs like LuisParson and fans of the series, especially with the potential of the Netflix movie and the "project" which I am inclined is going to make it. Think I am going to buy and use Elgato's PCI-E version - better interfacing, 60fps and good scalers. Or maybe a better brand? Suggest one to me - and a HDCP splitter (because of Sony). Unless you are okay with me using emulation with RPCS3 when Twisted Metal becomes able to emulated (at the moment of speaking, the emulator is at Ingame compatibility meaning its unlikely for playthroughs and more for demonstrations).
For the time being I am learning to encode my videos (NVIDIA NVEC to X246) as to increase quality, reduce disk usage by at least 25-40% as to not lag like Hell, keep uploading consistency and provide smooth playback without compromise. Recording this took 1 to 2 weeks then 3 to 6 hours to upload (during a time I had then switched plans) then a shitload of edits thereafter. -KDNElive is my NLE at the moment.- -DaVinci Resolve 17- is not my new NLE taking over Sony Vegas. I'm beginning to think _Sony Vegas_ ironically will be my first legitimate NLE like REAPER and GOLDWAVE were my first and second NLEs
Oh and good news, I have found the sound effects of TMB, some of them, not all of them. Stuff like pickups and such. Yes, you are reading right, I do update year-old comments, I like to add to something that is there, makes it fun and surprising that way.

Thank you for helped me, a lot of time trying to use sweet tooth special weapon in a ropot form.
A wee tip if you use his Sweet Slam and transform L1 and R1 then TRIANGLE back you can slam in his van mode (it looks like his car flying down instead) and then drive away. His special unlike any uses Turbo and as long as you dont transform back, get frozen or fall off you can repeatedly Slam as long as you are in Sweet Bot.

I may need to invest in PCI-E version of ELGATO as last time I tried to bypass the encryption the PS3 employs as last time I did something accidently went a wee bit south on my end. The elgato I used was a cheap version and...well, it shorted out one day, for no damn reason at all (not sure if I went full retard on my end with an incompatible connector or the switcher fecked up my stuff - even the PS3!).
I'd go straight to the original source for all TM (and TM1PC/TM2PC) for authenticity but at the moment, I cannot fufill the request because the equipment was failing all the way back in 2018/2019 and due to studies and limited funds. I'm just one man at the moment.
My PS3 is working still (got it repaired by an engineer) and so is my disk of the game. So if it occurs that I may be able to upload to your request, I'll get right on it but for the moment I must politely say not at the moment.
2023: I'm currently preparing new videos but this is in my schedule. The reason I am such a slow-arse is because I am investing stuff for future reasons (including my own livelihood) and I am currently tweaking my system so it doesn't overvolt itself because of the new I9 13900k I have inside of it, bloody hungry bastard this CPU is but it is definitely worth the 500+ quid I put into it.
2023 July: I'll go upload some "quickies" - just test uploads that are much more lower in watching time but still have the quality of a "good Yotuber" would upload.

The double charge? You hold it down and then hit the bumper as soon as it reaches that threshold and hold until it flashes (that means max charge - can be hard to see at times).
How to use sweet bot? Sorry, i don't know much about TM 2012 and ps 3, i just take ps 4 first after 2
Use L1 and R1 to switch to the S which is the Special. Make sure to select Sweet Tooth. When in game and you have selected the Special Icon press triangle. You will transform into a big mech. Press L1 and R1 then R3 which will send and suspend Sweet Bot into the air and he will begin to fly. Use the L3 stick to guide him and r3 to accelerate. You cant use your other weapons but you can ram by flipping your sixaxis controller forward or use Laughing Death in mid air. Sweet Slam can only be used in the air and it will consume half a bar or so of Turbo and it scales from 10 to 60 depending how high you get. Keep in mind that it is Area of Effect so it will affect more cars if radius of the explosion gets them.

I am not a big fan of some specials being copied and pasted into other vehicles
When I first played to get used to this TM, it was a double-edged sword. For mine droppers, I sometimes hit my own mines and died (TWISTED difficulty was a nightmare) or I found I was lacking utility.
Juggernaut who really could've had AI's firing from their gunners for you as you drive.
Kamikaze honestly should've had an ice-based theme (main freezes over time and makes steering slippy) or at a suicidal alt special similar to Brimstone, except weapons are allowed to be used after/during use.
Death Warrant should've had a "deathmark" alt focusing on the element of amplified damage of weapons whilst doing damage itself. I fail to see how this car managed to make it to the end of development when it is a subpar car with the least thought out feel, boring aesthetic and mediocre stats. it's a basic-bitch Roadkill that DPSes worse than it.
Vermin's alt special could've been a comical throwback by making the rocket bounce the opponent in the air, making it the first juggler.
Talon's magnet spec is essentially roadboat in the air. It'd could''ve been easily a set of "talons" that crush the car like an Eagle dealing damage over time but pushing the weight on the heli + dropping its target to its doom.
2023 - Don't get me started on what may have been the DLCs specials if they had released. It bothers me that the new game itself is developed by a crew who hasn't ever touched the series, are "nobodies" in the gaming industry. But then again, _looking at Jaffe and his transition from game developer to streamer_ I am sceptical at what he says and paranoid on how the TV SHOW and this "new game" will fare. It will definitely have DLC/Microtransactions in it for sure, a limited PC release and will either be too cartoony or overly serious (even TMB wasn't _that serious_ ).
I hate that too and that’s one of the things I didn’t like about this game. Now, I wish it was like Twisted Metal 3 + 4 with very creative specials Like Sweet Tooth’s Henchmen, Moon Buggy,Mr. Zombie, Orbital, Club Kid, etc. just something more exciting and creative rather than just copy and pasted boring moves.

An easy explanation, 2023 - you can choose your clan. I choose the default mainly because the Clowns are easily heard and swear like motherfuckin' sailors. My channel is not for children so I don't hold back.
I like Needles Kane for the same reasons Jaffe does, _maniacal_ clowns are fucking awesome. For some reason practice mode seems to favour him. I can't remember if there is a way to choose the Grimms, Dolls or Preachers. My equipment broke during an "incident" of wrong plugs resulting in it short-circuiting the device (cheap crap). I'm looking into alternatives. 2023: Keep in mind that I was in education, I am in a job now of course and I can now freely spend a budget on getting stuff uploaded.

If I recall, you need to hit X (Cross) as it hits the red threshold (the red bar) then hold it down until stage 2 fills up - when it flashes, release X to perform a charge attack.

To be fair, the reason I didn't record those is because is well, I couldn''t figure out at the time (2017/2018) how to demonstrate it on another car for analytical purposes and fun. Obviously if I did it again, it would be there and I'd make damn sure of it.

What I meant to say was that the X button is fire, you must hit the X (which is the fire) and hold it as it reaches the red bar then keep it held down for further charge, when the bar starts flashing (its a bit difficult to see) release your X/Cross button to fire your Special on Death Warrant or you will backfire the Special, wasting a unit of it. If you release it too early or keep it at full Stage 1 it will fire a weak payload of missiles.
