Really like Warthog's design from Black & 2012. A shell of a station wagon chained to a set of tank treads is such a rad idea.

I feel Twisted Metal Head-On is the real sequel to TM 2; characters, art style...too bad there is no Minion.

Dark Tooth is sort IS Minion from Black.
Head-On is the true sequel of TM2. If you pay attention to the endings of TM2 you will see that 4 characters have won the tournament by the time Head-On rolls around: Outlaw 2, Axel, Mr. Slamm, and Twister.
Hammerhead, Warthog, Thumper, and Spectre have new drivers, the old ones may have been killed in previous tournaments, or won it and got screwed by Calypso.

Definitely love the comic book style on the characters, it gives them a lot of personality. Those are my fav aesthetics. I hope this franchise returns someday. I used to play a lot TM2 back in the day.
Same. I started with Small Brawl and would (frustratingly) try to beat the game solo or coop tournament with my brother. Later found a copy of Black my grandmother had and loved the grim, dark style of that too.
This series has a lot of charm and potential if done right.

I remember trying to get to the final boss in TM1 and wanting to play as minion so bad then when he became playable in TM2 I was pumped

I wish they did more with Severed Sam. A headless corpse driving a car raises so many questions. Like his backstory etc.
There was a bit of backstory added to him. He was a race car driver that lost his head in an accident, and is now searching for the crazed fan that stole it.

I have always wanted a version of the game where they pit all of the characters against each other in an ultimate showdown of Twisted Metal it seems epic!!!
I did the numbers once for if a new Twisted Metal game that was to include every past car from every previous game in the series, and not counting flying vehicles (Warhawk, Talon), too tall characters (Tower Tooth, Juggernaut), and likeness issues (Mr. Rob Zombie), it'd be around 55.
Still, it'd be nice to get a new game either way, not a remaster of the 2012 game or anything, but a new instalment, just something for the PS4 (while it's still supported) & PS5, since closest I've gotten is GTA, with a car garage full of cars in reference to the ones from TM (sadly, no Sweet Tooth because GTA V & Online don't have ice cream trucks).
@@FireStormDel I did the same thing for Twisted Metal Black. I did the cars that were in the first Twisted Metal and if I wanted more challenge, I'd throw in a couple from 2.

3.Twisted metal II.
4.Twisted metal IV.
Such a shame what happened to the team during TM: Black 2's development, you can definitely tell they didn't get very far into the character development, assuming 12-Pak, was the only new character in lost, and there were some weapon animations for the vehicle but it definitely wasn't finished. His Bio cracked me up by the way, despite it being kinda gruesome.
I'm also convinced there was concept art for Pit Viper in a newer game included in the booklet that came with the Extra Twisted Edition. It sucks what happened.

The way HeadOn perfected the feel of Mr Slam's, Grasshoper's and Twister's ult but were not brought back to TMPS3 was so sad, RoadBoat existed and had a more annoying CC than that of all of this vehicles. There was no excyse for cutting them all out 7w7. Though from my understanding the dlc would have brought back all 3 except for Grasshopper who was going to be reverted to Pitviper

No way, the vehicle handling is terrible! Twisted Metal: World Tour is the best version, and its maps are a lot more interesting and fun to explore.

I really like all these videogames, Twisted Metal! I love them all so much, but my favorite ones are Twisted Metal 2 and Twisted Metal Black. Also, I like the way how they did the characters, the characters on these videogames are utterly amazing!

TM2 is my childhood game of the series. I re-bought it a few years ago and have it today.
I was so sad that TM: Head On was not released in EU for the PS2 version☹.
My favorite has always been Outlaw 2(and later on with the same siblings-outlaw) and Twister. Crimson Fury was fun too and nice car.
Hope you got the secret unlocks for the extra vehicles and levels, Cyburbia is the best level in TM2 easily and its a secret

Damn. Twisted Metal's development was a perfect example of a graph with a bell curvature. It was rising until it reached its peak with TW3, then it simply lost its charm and went down and down until it was gone. When I look back to older games, this series brings me the most nostalgic feelings.

3- Twisted Metal 2012 (it could be my best Twisted Metal but I just hate it cause it is only include 4 characters storylines and I used to love the old MR Grim the Skeleton one and they change it, but I loved the maps it was huge, the cutscenes and boss battles.

4:41 Mentioned that the create-a-cars are not shown. FTR, the only true difference is the special weapon; there are no armor or HP differences between the dozen or so variations of the custom car. In fact, the hitboxes are the same as well. Oh, and there are only two decent special weapons, the 'twintorchers' and the 'funny bomb', the former being more tactically useful.
4:53 Like, Calypso has the absolute *_WORST_* special weapon in the game, worse than any of the four custom car special weapons. I rarely ever played as Calypso for that reason and because of the ending being not so good...
5:03 Having a special weapon that saps the foe's HP sounds great, but it saps 1% every second, and restores her HP at about half the sap rate if not less, depending on a few factors such as how many foes are being sapped at once, duration, armor rating of the foe/s, and if the foe/s are immobilized. The effectiveness drops after about three seconds and is almost unnoticeable after about seven, 1v1, with multiple foes making this effectiveness drop even faster. Armor ratings of three or higher will have a fifty percent resistance, but when immobilized, all foes will lose the most HP, but no matter what, Meter Maid will not restore more than 1% HP per two seconds, and I've gotten no more than six or seven percent. At least her ending is worth it, lolz

5:20 The Jones' have a decent vehicle for combat, but the best ending in the game, though Rob Zombie's ending is great too.
5:25 Though the character is obviously a transphobic jab (pushing every single stereotype in our faces), the vehicle is actually not that difficult to use in the game, and is not a pushover opponent (I'd argue that Drag Queen should of been a boss-level character). The ending, well...I mean, it's kinda anti-climactic since all she needed to do was audition and work her arse off to achieve the same end, rather than compete in a bloodfest tournament for far longer than it would of taken, but you know...plot and all that, lol

5:34 The fact that the endings for all boss characters are the same as the custom car is very disappointing...but for Sweet Tooth, the most OP boss character I've ever faced (harder and more spammy than Tower Tooth even), the game is far too easy.

12:50 Only difference between Gold Tooth and Sweet Tooth is a fifty percent boost to defense and weapon power, and I mean standard weapon power; the special weapon only has a slight improvement. From what I understand, Gold Tooth was going to be much more, infinitely replenishing weapons as long as the ammo count was at least one, no overheating guns, and infinite special weapon usage, though without the fifty percent boost to weapon power and defense.

When i had TM small brawl, i always had trouble unlocking Trapper, Mime and Piecemeal i only got Darkside and Axel after that i gave up on the rest.
Me too😂 cause back then we didn’t have internet so easily like now and they weren’t any guidance to show us how to unlock them😂, but honestly mime and peicemeal aren’t worth to unlock cause they are basically just skins, their special weapons are copying other characters

Originally Pit Viper have his return as DLC vehicle in TM (2012).
Also, his upgraded version have the name as Grasshopper.

Sweet Tooth's driver is Neddles Kane.
I think there might be some tonal problems by mixing characters from those franchises, TM3 is absolutely silly while Black is completely dark and more serious, just think that you're putting in the same game Granny Dread, who wanted to watch TV all day; and Preacher, who want to find peace after murdering a baby and all the other people in the church during a baptism.
Some characters might need to be completely rewritten and at that point they might be completely new characters.
Also, as a motive for this to take place, the story would probably go that one of the previous winners of the competition wished for an ultimate competition with all the greatest competitors of past twisted metals (Or high octane competition), something that might tie in with one of the returning competitors. It might maybe fit Needles Kane, Minion, Mr Grimm, or even the original Yellow Jacket. The problem there is that none of the characters by themselves seem to have any actual motivation to do such thing, so it has to be one of the most damaged, derranged or power hungry characters.

What the hell happened to the menu for TM3? That's honestly the laziest character select menu that I have ever seen. I remember my game at times would freeze on that screen due to all the mayhem in the background.
