@@BabyLos420 Homing napalm is a fun cheat and megga machine guns. Then it becomes a resource game as you try to get all the napalms. I would not advance to next level until i had 24 napalms. I would tend to over hoard and use energy homing napalm a lot. sometimes to my death.
I've always maintained that New York should've been the last level of the game. It makes more sense: You start in Los Angeles where the first tournament took place. Then you leave to travel the world and fight. Then you finally return to the U.S.A. in New York City, this time on the opposite coast, where Calypso is situated as all drivers ask for their wish. It's an epic stage for a boss fight too. I'm not sure why they didn't do it this way.
I LOVED this game. I still have it and still play it on its original Red Disk. While yes, Specter was annoying, I had a horrible surprise for friends you used to like to spam ghost missile. Minion and HOMING NAPALM!!!! They used to HATE me. Go figure Minion, the Demon from Hell was actually the good guy and I had NO problem using him. At the time, a lot of people did not know minion also had the special ability of Hammer Head always running so I would stick close to teleporters and confuse the missiles until they ran out or got sick of missing. Up close I simply used to run specter over thanks to how Minion used to "Kick" smaller cars into a skid/roll they could not recover from very well (37:38). TAKE THAT SPECTER! When not Minion, I was Twister or Outlaw. Outlaws double hit used to mess people up. The music of Paris, Fire Walk, The Big Leap and female screams that reflected the character MADE this game. I still rock them and no matter how many years pass, they still seem new to my ears. If I am not mistaken, this game also shared a few songs with Jetmoto and Jetmoto 2.

My most favorite Twisted Metal ever, ever, ever.... I had it when it was brand new OG back in 1996, I played it Soooooo non stop intensely like a maniac with friends and alone.... Omg..... I was only 12yo.... I will never forget. One of the Very best games I have ever played 'n enjoyed in my life. A day then back in the late 90's, my little bro was just about 2~3 yo.. he poured a half glass of water into my psx cd player when I was off there.. later when i came back in to play the psx started to run the game completely abnormaly, with strange symbols and snow in the screen again n again like crazy... I though back then that the TM2 had the problem somehow and I threw the game in the trash..... some hours later I saw and realised what was really happened to the console, when it was too late for 4ever 4the CD game, and the trash bag wasnt in home amymore. I will never ever forgive my lil bro for this shit even if it was only 2~3. One my worst days ever in life._ 😢🥛💔💔
@@shinji1264 It's not the handling, it's that the special weapon sucks. Yes it seeks and it hits but it's still too weak and the car's armor sucks as well. It's literally a car made for cowardly playing, driving and jumping around the level where the health is and launching homings, fires and special. Too boring.
Luis Parson, i got a message from someone who told me a story of how he went to his friends to play TM2 long ago, and he mashed a bunch of buttons together in the main menu, and was able to watch all of the character endings right then, and he was wondering why that was, what happened, if that had anything to do with the original console and original game? So i'm coming to you to see if you know anything about this. They played on an original playstation, and original twisted metal 2 disk. He mentions he tried looking, researching and asking about this but to no avail. Have you ever heard or experienced this before? Because i for one have never heard nor came across this ever before in all my life of playing the series. And i am just as hardcore.
When you play TM2 on the original PlayStation weird stuff can happen. Me and my brother had fun with those glitches a long time ago like floating above ground when fighting Dark Tooth. Do you know the explosion that comes up when you're faraway from the last dead enemy? The glitch we found makes it so that I think any dead car will have it and it doesn't go away when you're close to it. I think we put the PlayStation upside down to trigger those glitches. I tried to do it on the PS2 before and it didn't work.
@@LuisParson Alright so that confirms it. The actual system itself was the culprit in a sense. It amazes me how weird and abstract that era was with all it's magically, glitchy polygonal mess. Axel for me and he remains my most hated vehicle in Twisted Metal. He spams his special so much in every game he's in. Hell, it's even more annoying in Twisted Metal: Black as that thing sends you airborne a little.
Spectre is annoying in Moscow and Holland. I don't see how Warthog is the most pain in the ass car in TM2. Warthog is more of a threat in the first Twisted Metal, when you're using a small car and it rammed or power missile you.

If I remember correctly, with this character, you can hide in a safe place and keep spamming specials till you win.
Just keep in mind after a certain distance the enemies do not take damage from anything (except a falling death [New York and Antarctica] ).
Especially with the Infinite Weapons cheat
