I just adopted a 75 lb Shepard mix and he pull with his full body, I’ve tried many things and tried a slip leash we had for a while and I was upset it would constantly fall down and he would choke himself pulling hard. He is two and we got him two days ago. I’m hoping I can learn much from your videos
I totally agree with you. It's so much better when you have the correct tools. Have you tried splicing instead of crimping an eye onto either end? Much lighter, softer and nothing to go wrong. Of course, you wouldn't be able to splice biothane. Like you. I sell to my clients. But..... I'm on the other side of the world to you. It's lovely and warm here at the moment 😃
For those looking for this style of lead with the same qualities and components, you can get them from Tom Davis at No Bad Dogs or Rader K9. I’ve used both to train dogs of all sizes and they’ve held up perfectly
Ahhhhh that is like dangling a carrot. I am desperate for a good slip lead. I have a cane corso and he loves to try and pull which is made worse by the slip lead slipping. Would it be possible to purchase one from your?
@@lolypop123454 as someone who trains gundogs also I only find the slip lead useful in that configuration to be able to quickly release them from the lead for a retrieve. Other than that it’s always up high and snug
I have a question, not about lead tho: my 2 months old puppy was used to eat his food from the palm of my hand, but for the past few days, he has been refusing to do so. Then he eventually accepts, but with some hesitation. Is this behavior something I should be concerned about? There's no aggression, and he doesn't growl at me-he just resists a bit before eating from my hand.

Can you share any links where you get the biothane and other materials to make the slips leads please?
Interested to hear your 2 pence on using the slip lead the gundog style way with it loose round the base of the neck 🤔 cheers 👍🏻

Wouldn’t worry to much about it. Just be consistent with the hand feeding as it will be extremely useful as your pup gets older
Sell the ting na man
@@jw3492 😂😂 I don’t fancy spending hours in my garage turning out slip leads . Too cold! 🥶
😂
So, in other words a "slip lead" is a choke collar... Why have "you" changed the name to this draconian tool?
Ben Marsh is not responsible for changing the name to slip lead. I've watched many trainers and they ALL use that description!
