The drop in water level may have sent the trout to hang out in the deepest water they can find. If the shallow water froze solid during winter to the bottom, it would kill most of the trout and insects. 🤔😟

If you stash it on public property and then abandon it, I am pretty sure it is up for grabs to whoever wants to take it. You can't store private property on public land. Once you leave it it is considered abandoned.

Of course - but most people will just leave it like they found it - they are happy to share the use of it, as am I.

Great video! My two comments: I thought I was going to see you cook the fish. I was a little disappointed when that was not part of the video. I also was interested in what bug dope you use. I guess the bug dope company is not a paid sponsor. That was a joke!

When I got home I was hungry and didn't feel like taking 30 min to clean the kitchen to shoot a cooking video - so I just did a couple tight shots, sorry man. I use Bens 100 back in the bush. Very toxic - very effective! Back in the garden I just use kids stuff - like off. I can always run back to the house if its too bad - but back in the bush there is no escape :)
