Hey Top5s, I am wondering if you would do a story on a place called The Prince Of Whales Hotel in Wateron, Alberta, Canada? Growing up my family and I went every summer to Waterton and spent a great deal of time there. It’s always been said that the Prince Of Whales Hotel is quite haunted. I live an hour and a half a way from Waterton. There’s also the Galt Museum where I live in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada that said to be haunted. The Galt museum used to be a hospital way, way back in the early 1900’s. I remember reading about both places in a book about ghosts, it was so long ago, I can’t remember any details.

I am a nurse who worked almost exclusively night shift for over 16 years in all types of facilities but mostly hospice and psychiatric hospital. Regarding opening a window after a patient has passed away....every facility i have worked especially hospitals the windows do not open for safety reasons.

Eventually the paranormal content meal runs dry. Another channel I had to stop listening to because they switched over to making conspiracies about black helicopters in the sky. The helicopters were out to get them I guess. Paranormalities are fun to dream about, but some people take it too far.

Nothing better than getting the notification that Top5s has a new video. I stayed in hospital a couple of years ago and the taps on the nurses sink were constantly turning on. The same stay, I was starting to try and walk about after my op and thought it would be a great idea go for a walk along the corridor that lead to my ward, I didn’t get very far as it was way too spooky to hang around long, it was freezing cold and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. The ward was in the oldest part of the hospital and I couldn’t wait to get home.

1. The first video with the child-like entity that's just artifacts from night vision and compression. Every brand of camera I have with night vision has this same "feature." It even captures shadows from cats and birds while not rendering the animals themselves, so it looks like a ghostly shadow was captured.

Danny caught a tornado siren going off and bouncing around the landscape. Maybe it’s malfunctioning. It took me months to figure out what the hell the sound was when they test the sirens monthly. It sounds exactly like “sky trumpets” here except they go off the first Friday of every month at noon.

8:36 That was a Water Spillway Gate Opening Warning Siren! No swimming in that area, but people still go there! The siren allows all to know the spillway will flood in 5 minutes when they open the gates and release the damned up water…the water travels so fast down the spillway that it has actually drowned people that don’t know about THIS WARNING SOUND! 👍

Yes! I have heard of several drownings there despite the signs of danger, no swimming all over the place as well as the siren that goes off prior to the water being released
My mum was an auxiliary nurse and she said that they always opened windows when someone passed to let the soul out. She also told me that the break room had a door with a frosted glass panel. One night whilst in the break room a tall, dark figure passed slowly by the door. It was a night shift, in the early hours, all patients were asleep in bed. She opened the door to check though and see if a patient was wondering about. There was no one there and everyone was accounted for. However, a patient sadly passed away moments later in a room adjacent to the break room. Mum always wondered if it was death coming to collect the person or one of their long dead relatives?
Before working at the hospital she worked in a residential care home. She said that one night she saw one of the residents she easily recognised walking down the dark corridor away from her. This resident had passed away the week before!!
That's strange cause the reality of it is that in most all hospitals the windows do not open due to safety reasons. Also, like someone else mentioned, it's funny that a soul which has no physical form can leave a body but can't seem to get through a glass window?? Thats ridiculous
@@PrimateProductions it’s not strange at all, it was a ground floor ward where my mum worked. And even so, all hospitals I’ve worked in the windows are able to open to some degree.

I worked in the medical examiner's office over night for years. Spent 5-6 nights a week from 10pm to 6am with dead bodies. Never once saw or heard anything that wasn't 100% explainable.
Well, you aren't a "ghost hunter" with expensive equipment that can pick up smudges on the lens, I mean, a vengeful spirit, ghost's cries and demon's wails, that's why. Also: You don't have a TV show that needs to keep up ratings with B.S. stories.

I've driven past the Joliet Prison on multiple occasions. It is indeed very creepy. Even though I know there aren't any prisoners there anymore, it sends shivers down my spine when I see the "don't stop for hitchhikers" sign.
I use to live on Collins St. I'm so proud growing up right there. The blue's brothers filmed there. That prison is spooky!! U can do solo walk thrus or with a tour guide if they charge. Go alone, bring torches. The cells are small and dark, lots of peeling paint.

the FACT that someone close to home watches and was mentioned on your channel is awesome!!! I've been watching for 5+ years. I'm from Naperville IL about 30 minutes from Joliet IL the Prison is a landmark and I've gone in there during my high school years to explore haha definitely some spooky stuff there.....
My ex who is a nurse for about 6 years now. I once asked her if she had any creepy experiences. She said only one time a patient monitoring system completely went off for a few seconds with no one attached to it. She said she'll never forget the numbers on the monitor. Her co-worker was there as well who witnessed it. They were both freaked out and asked one of the male nurses to turn it off. He laughed and did so.

Yes, I've worked the nightshift in quite a few different hospitals over the years and it was rather boring, for the most part. I used to go into empty rooms, turn the call light on, and hide under the bed. When someone came into the room -- already freaked out by a call light being on in an empty room -- and had to walk near the bed to turn the call light off, I'd grab their legs. The result is exactly as you'd imagine! We used to have a lot of fun -- anything to combat a boring shift. I like to think that I outgrew the behavior with age during my 23 years in nursing, but I honestly just got too old to get down on the floor and up underneath a hospital bed!
That's not to say we didn't see and hear things, though! I've seen and heard stuff that I can't rationally explain and I've definitely had some of it terrify the hell out of me.
And yeah, I'm one of those crazy folks that open a window when someone has died. A very old school nurse "taught" me that practice in the early 2000s and it stuck with me.

I have never nursed in a hospital you could open windows in. If you need to open windows to free spirits the old Royal Adelaide Hospital they must have been covering every millimeter and six deep
in the "Scary Truck Stop" clip the Bigfoot sound probably came from a mountain lion, they sound like that. Although it would still be scary hearing that in person and wouldn't want to run into a mountain lion, but at least its not Bigfoot.
There is no way its a mountain lion, their calls are too high pitched and short in length. I saw another comment on here that could explain it. A lumber mills lunch/shift siren that hasn't been tuned up for a while. Or it could also be "Bigfoot hunters" call blasting, the audio is very similar to a sound clip used in that technique.

Kinda ironic and effed up to set up a restaurant in a place where people used to be imprisoned and starved to death. I worked in a nursing home for around 8 years.
In the UK.
We used to do the tradition of opening the windows after people had died.
And three different people, I spoke to at different periods where I worked there.
All had seen a little girl in our floral dress.
It had become quite common at one point.
Another kind of strange thing, we had a bathroom that we couldn't use for different reasons.
Every room had its emergency buzzer.
The emergency buzzer for that bathroom was disconnected.
Every now and then it would go off by itself.
Each time it did we lost resident.
Within a 24-hour period.
I personally never saw a ghost.
However I have witnessed strange things, not feel more than coincidence.
We know we can't trust feelings.
The broad at Dalhousie Castle calling «Catherine» to tempt the ghost, reacted exactly the same way practically all the paranormal inquirers do. They want a sign, they ask spirits to prove their presence and when they do responds to the demand, those idiots scream and run like little kids. Pathetic! If they can’t deal with the response, they shouldn’t make any demands that’s all!
I work dayshift in an ER. Some cardiac monitors in the 3 big resurrection rooms will go off. Im a monitor tech and HAVE to pay attention to those things. So when it's looking like V-tach, i start sounding off, and every available ER nurse/ doctor will scramble into the room. Well, i get a hairy eyeball from them at times, and a Doctor friend will politely inform me. "No one is in that room." 😮

I've been working night shifts in my local hospital (operating theatres) for the last 9 years.
There's been some real freaky shiz happen. I've heard talking and coughing right behind me, taps turn on, alarms get activated, foot steps are heard, people get pushed, things get moved, we even had a return call from the police stating someone had called from inside our departed screaming for help!! ....the list goes on, BUT I've never actually seen anything. Luckily it's been pretty quiet for a while now though.
The first one sounded like the child was saying "help" to me.
Hospital worker... zero ghosts while I worked night shift.
The scary shit was the meth users, confused septic patients, people assaulting you, etc.

We used to always open a window and leave a bed empty for 24 hrs post death. Nowadays the bed is just cleaned and next pt is put straight in. Most modern hospitals don’t have windows that’s open anymore.
So i am a hospital worker ans often have done nightshifts. There is a different feel at night time. I think its due to have busy a hospital is during the day compared to night time.
I have had a few weird experiences but im not sure about the after life. Ive had objects move fall and on 2 occasions they have been chucked across the room. Strange noises are common, feelings of being watched, ive heard voices before is areas where there is no people and sometimes shadows in well lit areas. Weirdly, my job takes me to the morgue but you don't feel that energy there.
I also live a mile or so away from dalhousie castle. I have visited several times andnit does have a strange energy. The dining area has a very intense feeling and do feel younare always being watched. Its odd. I also never knew that was the former dungeons so that could explain it. Would love to do a ghost hunt there

I have worked in a hospital for over 15 years and have several ghost stories that if it didn't happen to me, I would think is insane! But it happened and I believe 100% in a lot of the scary ghost stories!!
Though that baby was probably just walking away from family that was around the corner and invaded the video!
