“Wilted scenes for us who couldn’t wait” This line, the way he sings it… I can’t get enough. It’s so heartwarming, the little lilt at “for us”, his voice is mystifying
I'm officially addicted too Opeth live. They are one of the best live acts in all music. Look at the size of that snare, it's like 3 ft deep. I want one.
My first Opeth show was The Big Top at Luna Park, Sydney. April 25th, 2006. Ghost Reveries tour. I was really sick that night, but enjoyed every second of it! Axe had just started drumming for them and I thought “Has Lopez dyed his hair?”.
+Maxi Hawlata excuse me, I mean, this was my Fav "Opeth members " ever. Martín López, Peter Lindgren, Per Wiberg and Mikael Akerfeldt, Martín Méndez obviously!

+John González Gómez Yes, they were amazing. I mean, I respect Axe, Fredrik and Joakim (the present members) but Lindgren on guitar, López on drums and the atmosphere made by Per's keyboards and mellotron was simply breathtaking! I especially love the albums in which Steven Wilson participated (2001-2003), especially BP! :D
I miss this lineup of Opeth so much. Martin Lopez is such a good drummer, even if he isn't technically proficient as Axe, he had such a groove and feel unmatched by Axe. And Peter had such a cool stage presence. The best concert I have ever been to was seeing Opeth live at Harpo's in Detroit. Such a wonderfully intimate experience.
I like both Axe and Lopez Axe is a monster machine like a metronome, almost always on spot, but I prefer that naturual sound Lopez achieves either is a live version or studio version, doesn't matter to me if sometimes rushes on live performances, it reaches to me everytime.

My thoughts exactly. Prodigal Son is one of my favorites by Iron Maiden, but this song has the advantage of the great vocal harmonies. I only discovered Opeth this month.
Jan 2021, way back when, we used to joke that maybe if we ate nothing but Swedish food we'd would be half as awesome as these guys. Swedish meatballs, Swedish fish...
Live folks- hard core Christian Jesus believer here- and I LOVE Mikael’s playing and singing! It’s so much more polished than most other players. Love Opeth
Here I go again, watching tons of Opeth Live videos.
Lol me a
@@armandoguerrero9715 i can relate! i can´t stop
Carlos Saldaña I need rehab I just can't ...quit
I purposely don't listen to Opeth for months at a time because it will control my days.
It's a fucking trap
Holy shit. Holy holy sweet jesus I have never heard this . Life is new this day and it is good.
Had same reaction 11 years ago!
If this feeling could be bottled and sold, I'd be addicted and homeless.
Hope your still enjoying Sam
Listen to all of watershed
They are an AMAZING band!!!!

20 year old me is in the crowd somewhere, still to this day one of my favourite gigs
Wanna trade ears, yours are more blessed than mine
I can see myself often in the crowd. Hell of a gig

Premier modern classic 13"x7". Good luck finding one ;)
That's what Mikael said😳
That's dirty.
Lost in Vegas brought me to this band. I am simply blown away by the quality of this music. The professionalism is breathtaking. A 58 year old rocker!
Lost in Vegas are awesome
Welcome to the rabbit hole ❤️
If you enjoy this vibe, Windowpane by them may be up your alley 😊
lost in vegas totally kicks ass!
He sings like an angel
Laly_39 and growl like a demon
Harvest is such a good song. Opeth are really good live.
Honestly his voice is so smooth
this voice!!!!!
It makes me moist
The best years of Opeth were with Wiberg, Lindgren and Lopez, really miss them
this song makes me cry
Me too❤😢
this song is an absolute masterpiece.
I have been a huge fan for so many years, every time I listen to them I travel to another dimension. The best musicians and song arrangements ever...
Fucking excellent - and I'm in my fifties. Blackwater park is one of the few albums I can listen to all the way through.
My first Opeth show was The Big Top at Luna Park, Sydney. April 25th, 2006. Ghost Reveries tour. I was really sick that night, but enjoyed every second of it! Axe had just started drumming for them and I thought “Has Lopez dyed his hair?”.
Definitely on my bucket list of bands to see live
This song is so emotional for me. This is really awesome song
Mikael's voice is so good in live!
staaaay with me aa whileee
that kind of music is taking me to the astralworld everytime... again and again and again...
OMG! Best Opeth's formation

Ahhh Martin Lopez...Opeth's finest drummer, and at their finest hour
Billy Crozier Indeed, my friend...
Oh yes
He had that jazzy touch
Don't tell me Axe is any worse
I like both Axe and Lopez
Axe is a monster machine like a metronome, almost always on spot, but I prefer that naturual sound Lopez achieves either is a live version or studio version, doesn't matter to me if sometimes rushes on live performances, it reaches to me everytime.
Imagine the premise of 16 people disliking this beautiful performance, it breaks my heart.
Everyone's entitled to their opinions... As for me, I avoid letting people control my emotions...
Been there, done that
@@richtigersoan Very true, and a really good perspective to have.
@@BlackMetalSparkHead I don't succeed every time though 🙂
0:50 shout out at this genius that shotgunned Harvest
im so tired doing household chores watching this to relax my mind
The best formation of Opeth!! lml,
Watched this for many times but still can't get enough and back again..
Imma just going to move in
0:36 hairflip
I like the lower harmony being more dominant in the mix
So damn good. I owned this DVD when DVDs where a thing. Owned this CD when CDs were a thing. Monumental song.
Lejos una de las mejores bandas de la historia todos son realmente fantásticos ❤
I miss Peter so much, damn :(
Opeth is magnificant
3:17 "... peels tomaaato"
Best Opeth solo.
This is my first time listening to opeth and this band gives nostalgia , idk why tho
Id love like hell for them to come to the Jersey/ Philly area. Saw them in Florida 6 years ago. Such a fantastic show.
Seen these guys live twice, best two concerts i've ever been too.
Patrick Shaffer they're so tight
This versión is better than played in Royal Albert Hall

Lyrics
Stay with me awhile
Rise above the vile
Name my final rest
Poured into my chest
Into the orchard, I walk peering way past the gate
Wilted scenes for us who couldn't wait
Drained by the coldest caress
Stalking shadows ahead
Halo of death
All I see is departure
Mourner's lament but it's me who's the martyr
Pledge yourself to me
Never leave me be
Sweat breaks on my brow
Given time ends now
Into the orchard, I walk peering way past the gate
Wilted scenes for us who couldn't wait
Drained by the coldest caress
Stalking shadows ahead
Halo of death
All I see is departure
Mourner's lament but it's me who's the martyr
Spirit painted sin
Embers neath my skin
Veiled in pale embrace
Reached and touched my face
Into the orchard, I walk peering way past the gate
Wilted scenes for us who couldn't wait
Drained by the coldest caress
Stalking shadows ahead
Halo of death
All I see is departure
Mourner's lament but it's me who's the martyr
Still hits me the same as it did 15 years ago, fucking magical
Great Band!!!!
It. has always reminded me of a proggy version of Iron Maiden's "Prodigal son". Both great songs.
My thoughts exactly. Prodigal Son is one of my favorites by Iron Maiden, but this song has the advantage of the great vocal harmonies. I only discovered Opeth this month.
Opeth please tour in India too
@Clorox Bleach expected of course.
They're coming this year in Weekender
@Clorox Bleach they hated it so much that they came back twice again

Jan 2021, way back when, we used to joke that maybe if we ate nothing but Swedish food we'd would be half as awesome as these guys. Swedish meatballs, Swedish fish...
Out of this world!
Love it!
stupendi bravi tutti la voce e stupenda pero mi piace con canta cosi gli acuti su certi testi stupendi no per me rovina il prog metal bravissimi 🤩🤩🤩🤩
This is the single best REAL vocals I've heard from Opeth. (Growls not withstanding. They have a place, but...there is this)
These dudes are great,i listen to a lot of HipHop but Opeth's discography is brazy.
in my time of need, i think.
or benighted because people say that is a Camel inspired track.
AsorryProduction
Sure? LOL
@@js1zzle It's Ending Credits actually.
Caio Graciano which song by Camel?
❤
💕
like i never hear it before.
Menurut gw Opeth band metal yg paling ramah
Шедеврально!

Puta que gran canción.

😮 hey it's fuckin awesome
whats the song he is talking about when he says "its totally stolen from a band called camel"?
T Schramm "In My Time of Need" i think
No, Ending Credits. It's the song they play just before this.
Hessian Peel
Why do drummer count 4/4 when the song is in 6/8?
Man Blake from Workaholics can really sing
1 person is deaf here
totally agree!!!
don't even call him a person , that's probably an alien haha
2 deaf aliens now haha
5 now
fourat garrach ya after hearing that woman screech
what song by Camel was mikael referring to?
in my time of need, i think.
or benighted because people say that is a Camel inspired track.
He was referring to Ending Credits.
Camel - Never Let Go. Benighted was inspired by their song
Never let go. But all of opeths music is inspired by camel. It’s so obvious without being derivative. Mikael wears his influences on his sleeve.
@@tylerjacobson8012 He literally quotes several bands in song titles too. My Arms, Your Hearse is a Comus quote as well.
Oh how I miss my hassness
He said ripped off from camel at the start so im guessing the was played benighted before this song.
a literal god tasteless!
1:37 the guitarist looks like cliff Burton. Definitely not fredrik
that's Peter Lindgren, guitarist before Fredrik joined
