      well.. when you write classical music on modern instruments it converts pretty seamlessly

      That depends mostly on how it is arranged. You can have bad arrangements and good arrangements (like this one). A bad arrangment can ruin what is otherwise a beautiful piece.

    Welcome to: "How to make a Progressive Metal song sound 10x times more dramatic and like the soundtrack of an epic movie"
    Step 1- get Nine Cellos

    • @u.v.s.5583
      @u.v.s.5583 5 років тому +7

      The same step 1 applies as an answer to the question, how to make a nice bonfire.

      @soullessSiIence 5 років тому +13

      It's not progressive metal (and it's not written like that). The entire song is in 4/4. It's just a rock song.

    • @WhiteKhamaleon

      Step 2 - get Nine clones of yourself

    • @sydkvistarn

      Doesn't change the fact that Opeth is a prog band and that they produce prog rock. It's like saying Beatles made that one Helter Skelter song so they're basicly a rock-band. Doesn't work

    • @Grease-Goblin
      @Grease-Goblin 5 років тому +21

      Because, as we all know, you can't be progressive if you're in 4/4.

    To hear this - a nostalgic favorite of mine - interpreted in this particular style is a very special thing. It's almost archaic, as if my soul is being gripped by the voices of a past life. This is a privilege, and an expansion to musical horizon. Thank you so much.

      Under no circumstances should you use Audacity to record system audio with minimal loss. Never set the audio input host (dropdown menu to the top-left, should be "MME" by default) to WASAPI, then next to that select "[your playback device] (loopback)" to do this because copyright infringement is a serious crime.
