This one is so much worse. Not to mention that the Giants who also are riddled with injuries in the other toughest division this season are in the playoffs with a week to spare.

Could only hope Zach would have a similar turnaround but highly doubt it with this coaching staff. If regime changes, then Zach is out as I see the next coach wanting his own QB choice. I don't see a Daboll situation.

Hope it doesn't take the Jets another six years to get to the promised land like they did, Rich! I'm already a big fan of Breece Hall, hopefully he doesn't get repeated injuries in the future.

Since you asked Rich, the Steelers leader in passing TD's is Kenny Pickett with only 6 as well, so sadly being a Steelers Fan, I know your pain for the first time in nearly my entire lifetime. Although, I do think you can look forward, with Breece Hall at RB and a #1 WR in Wilson, if you're able to snag Jimmy G, Derek Carr, or some other middling QB, your offense, if they stay healthy, can be good enough to get dubs with that defense.
They need a new Offensive Coordinator and enough of Mike White is the next coming crap!

How many times did Zach Wilson even get into the red zone? Our offense looks night and day with MW. ZW can’t move the ball at all, we won all those early games in spite of him. Watching those games I would still choose MW any day
He was an upgrade actually, Zach couldn't make first downs. At least the ball could move between the 20s with White.
I wonder about the Shanahan offense. If you look at SF, Miami, and the Jets which are similar. They have collectively had 7 QBs injured, 6 missing games. It's insane. FYI just an observation I'm throwing out there and I haven't looked too much into it so I don't know what it is but I have a hard time believing it's coincidence.

You asked for a more important injury than Breece and I think you name him seconds later, AVT. His injury was the nail in the coffin for our run game
when losing a running back and guard early in the season sinks your season, then clearly the GM has to take a hit for questionable roster construction

Everyone went nuts as Bears players were dropping like flies as Mike White played decent at best.
Blaming injuries is for losers. I believe part of the problem was this...Teams began to take the Jets serious around mid/late November, but the players began to believe the NY media and fan hype that had drastically overrated them. They got fat and happy. Truth is, the team was never as good as they were hyped up to be.

Rich finally being real about the Jets!
Mike White, Zach Wilson, James Morgan, Sam Darnold, Christian Hackenberg, Bryce Petty, Tajh Boyd, Geno Smith, Greg McElroy are the QBs the Jets drafted during this 12 year playoff drought. They may want to consider drafting a QB is not their strong suite and look to sign a free agent or make a trade.
This wouldn't be my choice but I'm hearing Marcus Mariota is a strong possibility for the Jets.
Might as well throw a 2nd round pick to Vegas then

That coincided with Ken O'Brien's rapid fall that year. When they went 10-1, he looked like the best QB in the league. Then he suffered a "tired arm" and his deep throws looked like lazy flys to centerfield. Pat Ryan came in to salvage the season but he's a lot like Mike White, just a backup who could give you a few good games.
They at least made the postseason and could have went to the AFC title game. If you want another similar seasons look at
1993, 1994, 2000, 2008 and 2015

Phins and Jets have always had QB issues. You can’t have consistency in today’s NFL without great QB play.
5 of the 7 wins were against backup qbs. this team was really more of a mirage until reality hit
Kenny Pickett has 6 TDs. However, we can already see major improvement with a young offense and bad OC in Canada.
And Michigan lost choked again as a ND fan that was fun to watch.
They got a ton of great players still, and they’ll be healthy next year. At least it’s not a completely hopeless situation like the jets usually are.

I’ve been a Jets fan my entire life…I know when to get excited about the team and when not to..I know when we are not playing as good as the team we have and when we are overachieving.
I moved to Florida and my friends here said in the early sept/Oct “ Why aren’t you happy? They are winning”
I said simply…this team is trash..they are getting lucky…I don’t want us winning I want us losing because we aren’t there yet..we aren’t going to win a championship with this team..and I said and I quote “They are going to do well enough to get us shitty draft picks because our record does not reflect the team we are”
Now here we stand another season gone and middle of the road draft picks and no QB..the only person we ever had who could draft was Parcells.

As a Jet fan since I was 13 there are 3 things that I can ALWAYS expect from the Jets..
1. A losing season
2. A good first half of the season just to completely fall apart at the second half.
3. Wasted, bizzare draft picks.
4. Drafting solid players and then completely failing to develop them
It's wild how fast people forget about them losing Breece Hall and Vera-Tucker. The 2 best offensive pieces imo. Garret Wilson drops just because they dont have a QB to get the ball to him enough
With this coaching staff I'm not sure that Derek Carr could do any better cuz he's not even close to an elite quarterback he's just a top 15 quarterback
Derek is a much better upgrade than what they currently have.. his TD to int ratio is at least 2:1, career 65%completion rate, ever since he broke his leg that one year hes played in every game since
You gonna just pull an Elite QB out of what orifice? Elite QBs are rare, which is why they're elite. If your plan for success is getting a top 5 QB, get used to disappointment. What you need right now is an improved OL.
Tebow with the Broncos is probably the only other starting QB that threw that few TDs...but at least he was winning games.

Steelers are the 9th best defense this year.
I don't know enough about football etc, at the NFL level for sure, even as just a fan, but Wilson went from being able to hit the corner of a small window from 30 yards out, to missing wide open receivers--with little pressure sometime--from just 15 yards. Wide open. Some of those throws were so bad they went right at the defender, and THEY often fumbled the catch because in shock it was off line. It's in his head, so the talent is there, but is it fixable?

Best thing for the Jets coming from a Raiders fan is this: Trade Zach Wilson, a 3rd and a 5th rounder to the Raiders for Derek Carr. Raiders get younger at QB plus Derek goes to an equally talented offensive team but far better defensively than what the Raiders have, and I'm a raiders fan saying this. Derek deserves better than how Mark Davis has handled this
Why in the world would any team give up a third and a fifth for a bust? A bust who will likely get released anyway? And Derek Carr can wait for his release from Oakland and talk to the Jets himself without the draft-pick nonsense. Why would he weaken the team he was about to take over?

Breece Hall was a big blow to them for sure but the biggest injury that hurt a teams chances definitely have to be TJ Watt missing games with the peck injury. They’re 8-8 right now and almost every loss was without him and some close games they definitely coulda won if they had him woulda been the dolphins, bengals the 2nd time, the patriots, and the jets game. That’s 4 close losses that if you have TJ Watt he most likely makes a game changing play and they win
