"In 2 weeks Tommy DeVito has as many touchdown passes for the Giants as Zack Wilson has had all season" - Is not a sentence I thought I'd hear. Much less after week 11.
Zach Wilson has 2 more passing TDs(6) this year than Daron Bland has pick 6's(4)
Tommy Devito has as many games with multiple touchdown passes as Kenny Pickett.
And tommy Devito....... hes not very good!!
@@173jaSon371❤😊
@@heyyoitsmebrian And he's Joe Pesci's character from Goodfellas.
TJ with the "so you'd rather have Susan Boyle as your quarterback?" cracked me up.
Bro, I died lmao
“Danny Boyle?” 😂😂😂😂
Susan Boyle isn't very good at throwing over the middle.
@@joemckim1183 I bet Susan could crush the Tush Push, though.
@markjohnson7488 We'll send her an email.
I'm always here for Rich's Jets breakdowns 😂😂
The best!
The best one was when the Jets won a game late in the season (2020) and lost the number one pick for the 2021 draft and lost out on Trevor Lawrence.
I cant Believe Were in This Situation !! Lol jets have beaten this man down for to many decades
I will say tho, I honestly don’t know how much better the team would be with Aaron Rodgers, something that’s getting lost here is just how bad the o line is, we have to remember why is Aaron hurt? And how did Aaron look on that first drive before he got hurt? Obviously I think they would be slightly better than they are now but if u can’t protect ur quarterback, especially a pocket passer like Aaron, what are we really expecting this veteran to do? I hope for jets fans sake they heavily prioritize the o line this off-season, otherwise I think we are in for another year of frustrating football
Sam Howell was getting hit and sacked at a historic pace but he was still able to put the ball in the end zone. You can scheme around it with a QB that _knows what he's doing back there_ -- which is something that is lost in all the 'bad OL' takes.
You also forget Rodgers knows how to read a defense and can check out of plays. Plus, his first 4 was a run, a drop pass, sack injury.
@@MoMoMyPup10 Most of Howell's sacks are because he holds the ball for too long.
yes please improve the O line and then Aaron can choke in the playoffs like he always does
@@codyb.3015jus like Carson Wentz before him.
Thank you, Rich. I'm not a Jets fan, but I was hoping for AR's success in NY. If he comes back this year, he's taking a chance of this being his 'last stand', especially behind that O line.
GREAT rant Rich! I feel for you, Steelers fan here
Thank you, your team has 6 rings and are overall an extremely competitive well put organization. You really have not had any real droughts and I’m jealous of that.
At least you've won a bunch try being a bills fan friggin torture lol
@@mikeelton3686 As a member of Bills Mafia, you're absolutely correct
That was 100% pure gold Rich Eisen! As a Packer fan I was wishing the best for Rodgers and hopeful for the Jets but concerned about the OL. Didn't take long for those concerns to turn to reality. If AR is not fully mobile (hard to believe he could be) he will get steamrolled.
The football Gods gave you hope Rich, which is the cruelest thing to give to a Jets fan.
Hope is a good thing, Hope keeps a man alive.
"Angry Jets Fan" Rich Eisen is my all-time favorite
It's glorious! Totally a payoff for having sat through "Smug Jets Fan" Rich Eisen...
It’s not for me, man. It’s a broken record that plays twice a week.
As a Niners fan, being reminded of the Mike Nolan years triggered my gag reflex a little. Those were some dark times. Probably the only good thing about back then was it made me truly appreciate how good the Niners were back in the 80s and 90s.
Rich is just dropping truth bombs, Rodgers will be better for the team next year.
that devito stat is nuts
The whole Jets team quit yesterday..
Browns fan here saying hold my beer with injuries. Gotta stop catering to Rodgers.
Should have immediately gotten a capable backup. Now they pay the piper
Aaron Rodgers and his ego wouldn't allow it.
@@Steven-pm4vsdon’t think it’s that man. Think instead of hating. They didn’t need someone much better then Wilson. Someone who can stay in games and put something on the board whole leaning on the defense. Keep them alive until playoffs. But they didn’t do that. They stuck with Wilson I bet they didn’t even look at other qbs. Coaching or staff issues. Either way I still don’t think even if they made playoffs this year that rogers should return.
GM was trying to cover his you-know-what. Now his decision looks work.
Am I the only that remembers that Jessie episode when Luke asks about the Jets 😂😂😂 I always remember that for some reason
Bench Hackett until Rodgers comes back. Cause next year, Rodgers is gonna call his own plays anyway, but Hackett has to be there so Rodgers doesn't decide to retire. DRAFT AND TRADE FOR AN OFFENSIVE LINE!!!
Cannot build it overnight!
No QB in 2023 is calling their own plays. In fact the last guy who even had close to free reign was Peyton, and he only called the play out of the 4-5 options OC Tom Moore gave him. The amount of stuff that is happening pre snap is more than most QB’s can process, let alone being the initial play caller as well.
@@axe2grind244 I believe Rodgers calls his own plays when he has to. I believe Brady did too. But of course not in 2023. Rodgers ain't playing.
welcome to what us broncos' fans had to go through last year.
Jets went through it worse last year then this year as crazy as it is.
Jets fans go through that pretty much every year.
Another great Rich Eisen rant for my notebook of Rich rants
I have a theory that the Jets organization and fans are paying for Joe Namath making a deal with the devil to win SB 3 over the Colts. That pissed off the football gods, and they have been kicking the Jets in the nards ever since as punishment.
You should become a Bills fan instead! We'll take you to the unimaginable highest of highs, and some extremely unforgettable PTSD-like lows, ha! Anyway, if I were a Jets fan, I'd be pissed about not moving on Dobbs for the temp job, and focused on drafting/procuring O-line talent. Then develop a QB. You'll be fine in no time!! Maybe...
Second Buffalo fan contributing here… we suffered the consequences of making a deal with the devil BUT we never got the initial gift. We literally never got anything. Just the consequences.
@@seanguitarman5594I am Dolphins fan. I am not about to start rooting for one of our rivals.
@@30AndHatingIt Maybe, the gift was going to the Super Bowl four straight years. Whoever made the deal just made the mistake of not making sure that you won any of them 😂😂
Namath needs to kick the bucket before it can happen. But Namath’s got that Ric Flair gene in him so he’s gonna live forever and torture us fans.
Zach Wilson should never take a snap under center ever again for the Jets. Let Boyle take the reigns through the draft.
You clearly not watching games, show me a Boyle highlight I'll wait...
@@ThrghmyEyeZZ lol. There aren't any. Sure. But, as a matter of principle he should not be the QB anywhere. Maybe he can be a back up in the CFL. Their season is shot. Cut your losses with Zach. Your remaining players will respect you for it.
@@ThrghmyEyeZZIt’s hard to imagine he’ll do any worse than the entire Jets offense has in 11 weeks. They’re bad at everything, most notably converting 3rd downs. If Boyle throws a TD in his first start that’ll be enough of an improvement. The Jets have finally accepted their biggest mistake, which was not exploring their options at QB3 the moment Aaron Rodgers went down. I respect them for making the change.
rich always knows how to lift us up on mondays
That breath at the end 😂 Like Rich exercised a demon or something
What kind of exercise? Jogging? Swimming?

@@173jaSon371never seen the exorcist?
@@Acepilot12345 You mean the Exercisist?
Rich Eisen: The Exercisist
All this suffering Jets fans have been through this season is 100% on Rodgers and Hackett. No sports media has brought up the idea that Hackett/Rodgers are forcing Zach on Saleh. They are terrified of bringing in someone experienced and losing the Zach Wilson excuse as to why Hackett's offense is so bad.
yes they drafted him but no one speaks on how Rodgers is allowed to call shots there to keep him happy@@ElvisRose_
Rich you Rock! And very funny when you get worked up!
LMFAO with the triptifan comment. Love this guy😂
I respect Rich for two things. His charity work, and his willingness to go down with the NY Jets' ship as a diehard fan.
Let me tell you a story about a team with a great defense and a quarterback named Wilson and where the hopes could not have been higher that totally stunk last year. The only common factor was Nathaniel Hackett. The Jets are 4-6 and on their way to 4-11 which is exactly when Hackett was fired last year.
Y'all need a better O-line first before deciding about anything else. QBs need time and if they are under constant pressure, even the great ones go down.
He needs the attention Rich.
I can not wait for this offseason. What do the Giants and Jets do about their QB situations and their o-line issues. I do not understand why building a good 0-line is so hard these days. Giants, Bengals, Jets, Commanders, Steelers,
I love your passion, Rich!! :)
That may have been your best one yet, Rich.
Wilson can always do better, but watching the game, what happened to the O-Line? Run game could not function as the O-Line could not block, or create the openings for Hall. How can Wilson get the ball out quicker if he does not have anyone open, or no-one blocking? Add to that the fumbles, drops and penalties, and you have a perfect storm. Would AR do better in this team? Probably, but it will be interesting to see if he plays with the same O-Line or it gets upgraded
That would be best. Every injured QB just needs a speedy recovery and hope they come back strong for 2024
if rodgers comes back this season he has the chance to make history and be the first player to rupture his achilles twice in the same season
I sorta want to watch him immobile in the "pocket" taking shot after shot from Jets opponents this season...
Absolutely outstanding analysis with a tad Hollywood flavor. Thank you so much, Rich. Brilliant stuff.
"Carson Wentz? I want no part of that!" -R. Eisen, Jets fan
you forgot that Wilson was also benched for Chris Strevler in that Jaguars game (the last game Zach played in the 2022 season.)
Of course Aaron Rodgers should. It will keep him from showing off in the middle of someone else's game.
Just look at how good he is now. How good is Nathaniel Hackett? You can't be good with only one QB. Just look at Josh McDaniel. How does Allen Lazard look?
Rich, sacrifice something to the Football Gods. Pour a shot of Jobu's rum and light a candle.
Are you saying Jesus can't hit a curve ball?
Can always sacrifice a bucket of fried chicken in a pinch 🤷
epic rant!
Idk rich......even as an eagles fan.....I'd take Wentz over Wilson 8 days a week....
"Out sucking" 📌 it! 😂😂😂😂
That's sad when the punter looks better at Qb than Zach Wilson smh😢
I hope he’s listed as 2nd or 3rd QB on deck when Boyle goes down. The O-Line is atrocious!
"All right gents!! Let's pad-up the towel guy and get this offense moving" 🤣🤣🤣
Rich’s pain is palpable and its so weird. I feel genuine sympathy for Jets fans but I can’t stop laughing 😂
I'm not a Jets fan but it's painful to watch the same problem play out, team after team after team, who pay stupid money for skill players and killer D's and then _totally_ neglect their offensive line, which in my mind is the most impactful unit on either side of the line of scrimmage. They can make or break an offense. I've watched it play out since 2014 with my Seahawks; up until last season Pete Carroll and John Schneider's philosophy was "We don't need to blow a lot of draft or FA capital on an offensive line coz we've got Russell Wilson."
We've seen how successful the Seahawks have been getting back to the Super Bowl since 2014. They waited to disappear Wilson before taking the O line seriously, got two great rookie players at Offensive Tackle, and got themselves some depth at the O line, and at least until a few games ago they made Geno Smith look like a superstar. I can't emphasize enough how crucial a talented and healthy offensive line is to a team's success. Without it, I don't care who you have playing QB or RB, they're just ordinary -- assuming they stay vertical.
@@briane173 same thing is going on with the Dolphins. They are getting away with it because of Tua's quick release, but thats why they cant run the ball.
I feel for Jets fans with such promise for this year. But being a Bills fan with all the hate for my QB and Buffalo in general……..not really.
Coming from a Washington fan, we are used to getting our nards kicked too :(
The Rodgers arc colliding with the Jets arc is literally the plot of The Music Man.
As a Dolphins fan hearing that Tim Boyle is starting against us Friday makes my day.
That's weird. I would think that you would rather have Zach be the QB on Friday.🤔
@@timbrown5576 Tim Boyle is worse than Zach. He couldn't even win in college. Now take a look at his NFL stats. They are awful. The Jets are either tanking or are out of their minds.
@robertgaines9286 The sad thing for us Jets fans is that neither one of them should be the QB on Friday. It all changed after 4 plays.
As a Broncos fan who watched Hackett's offense last year...it was AWFUL. In Denver he kept running an offense out of shotgun with a line that was AWFUL with pass protection. He never changed the offense when it was obvious it was not working. I know people blamed Wilson for the offense, but when the backup quarterback played (who is no longer in league), he still kept throwing the ball vs running the ball. When the ownership group fired Hackett, the temp coach who has a special teams background changed the offense and had the team focus on running the ball which led to a close lose to KC and a win over the Chargers (when the coach from the Chargers played his starters). Hackett is a nice guy, but how he has a job in the NFL is crazy. His best season was with the Jax when they went to the AFC Championship Game...and he focused on running the ball. The Broncos feel your pain because the team hired Hackett to get Rodgers and then Denver didn't get Rodgers and Seattle took the Broncs two premium first round picks and two second round picks....so it could be worse. At least the Packers don't have the Jets first round pick.
As a packer fan the offense has sucked without Hackett. Sure he may of had a say in team building last year but wasn’t his fault Russ came in out of shape and overweight last year. Zach Wilson has looked terrible with every coordinator he’s had at this level. To say Hackett has only the Jacksonville season as his best season is ludicrous he was the main reason Aaron won back to back MVPs. It wasn’t Lafluer as evidenced by last year and this year.
It mest be great being a jets fan
Rich has the best jets rants
😂😂 Greatest Fn Rant Ever🏆🏆🏆
I love how when Rich is making his plea to the football gods, he looks right into the camera instead of towards the sky. Feels appropriate.
Eisen almost using the meme “this is what I ordered - Rodgers; but this is what I got, Boyle.”😱
Amen and Amen. Let Rodgers come back next year. Let's hope the Jets finish no better than 5-12 and gives us a chance at a QB. Also, let someone else make the pick. I like Joe D but the most important picks he had -- QB and OT -- he totally blew.
A QB? 😂 hard pass on another bust bro. Snag Marvin Harrison and be done with it. That’s 100% the play.
As a Bills fan I'd like to see you guys get your QB. Zach ain't it. Not yet, at least, ...and I don't know how much time you can give someone. To be fair, even ARodg behind that O-line protection would have had a day. I was pumped to see Allen vs Rodgers 2x a year minimum, ....and then my own team blew all that to hell on the Jets first drive of the season!!! Anyway, gl on the QB hunt, you guys still have a fearsome defense until then. Go Buff!! 🦬 💪
@@caseycarpenter6828 Harrison will be long gone by the time the Jets pick.
And the Packers will thank you for the high 2nd round pick
Time for the Golden Boyle 😅
I agree, Rich is right. Right now Zach's the scapegoat, you wouldn't want Rodgers to come back only to get injured again because of this swiss cheese of an oline. Let's not shift the blame at all and keep it all on ZW.
As a Cardinals fan I feel you Rich.
Between this and michigan it’s been a rough week for rich
Rich you are the man! We all have had these rants before .
"Danny Boyle?" Hahahahah, I had to google that one, YIIHAA!
Oh Rich you speak for all us Jets fans. Just
Endure
The
Suffering !!!!!
The Football gods will never stop 🥲💔
Felt this in my bones
Rodgers would be out of his F mind to come back and play behind this oline. Him talking on Pat shows and talking all that mess is just for publicity.
As a Jets fan, I’m gonna need 20 drinks for Friday lol
Rich Eisen is a national treasure
Really? What nation?
Why not have an extend preseason for him to get in sync with his new team mates. I don't think medical professionals make decisions based on team performance
If the Jets are relying on Rogers for a second year in a row then it's a classic case of fool me once... Why would the Jets want to rely on a 40 year old QB when other QB's a little more than half his age are being knocked out left and right?
If the NFL isn't paying attention to the growing injury problem and not connecting it to the extra regular season game, Thursday games, and other scheduling shenanigans then the NFL will continue it's downward spiral of team with the least amount of injuries wins by default. Player safety? LMAO.
Jets took a chance and probably will next year if Arron wants to play. Just remember he’s no Tom Brady
I'm a lifelong Bills fan 4 superbowl losses! I feel your pain we just can't have nice things lol
Everyone from Rodgers and Saleh said, they need to do something about the O-Line. Nothing was done to upgrade this vital position.
......position group.
Zach wilson keeps getting so many chances it's hilarious to watch. Soo bad. Makes my raiders look like a playoff team
all typos on purpose .have to give you back yalls respect
I think we have reached the newest lowest low for jets offense
Even if the Jets where in the playoffs Aaron Rodgers shouldn't come back this year. The idea of him coming back from that injury in less than 4 months is laughable, and I can't believe that people are actually buying into the idea that this is possible. Why? Because he can throw some balls in warm-ups? So?! The leap from being able to throw the ball around and being able to return to a live NFL game is astronomical
Rodgers should be back, and do an Andrew Luck retirement right after the first snap 💀
Not a massive Rogers fan but he would make the Jets so much better, even if its just getting 3 or more first downs a game it helps the position battle and gives the defence more rest as they have to be gassed every game. Then a few more opportunities may open up. But you got to shore up that OLine next year.
We’ve been saying this since week 6, welcome to the party
Haven't the Jets only won their division title 4 times in their history??
All those stats and the bills still managed to give up the TD to blow my first half under with less the 2:00 to go in the half
Could have had everyone from Joshua Dobbs to Phillip Rivers, to Teddy Bridgewater in the offseason.
He was also benched for Chris Streveler
I'm pretty sure Aaron did said he was coming back as a morale booster to get the team to do well and didn't really have much hope of coming back this year.
It’s so bad I have to laugh so I won’t cry 😂😂😂
Can't really say the Jets made every move to make sure Wilson wouldn't start a single game. When they decided yea hey are offensive line is good enough. We really don't need to address that issue with a 39yr old QB play behind it with a history of getting injured to some degree for the last handful of seasons.
being a Jets fan is very much like being King Sisyphus, pushing that rock up that hill for it just to keep rolling back down
Rich as usual putting on a Master Class on how to be a great and professional media personality but also showing pain as a life long fan. Also, he didn't say one thing that's wrong lol
Was wanting to hear Rich rant because I know he feels just like me
He’s right 💯
I was there yesterday and left 4 minutes before halftime. I’m done with this coaching staff
You know that feeling of relief you get from letting one go? You know the stomach feels way better but " Oh wait that stinks ", that is what the Jets season was but you know that has changed and it's all coming out now!
I agree on AR coming back this season. Don't see the point with their record and it's just risking another injury.
I am a Dolphins fan and I can't help, but love every moment of this rant about the Jets. I love Rich and this rant made my day. Could not help myself
It would give you guys hope for next year if he plays a few games
Pain.
I just hope the Jets really go after Devante Adams and give the Raiders a kings ransom.
I do feel for Jets fans. Rodgers was never a long term plan anyways, and they lost him immediately and who knows if he’ll be 100% next year. But they still need to find a great young QB to develop, and that could take a while. They better hope Rodgers takes them to the SB next year because they’ll probably be back in rebuild mode soon
Honestly it’s on the owners for the injuries. Switch to grass turf
Rodgers is hurting this team full stop.
Absolute truth. Sure it makes for a good story that Rodgers comes back this season…………..right up until he gets hurt again. That o-line still exists; he needs to stay on the sideline until next year.
