Scott and Jeff you guys are great Thank you for all your experiences with pumping I have developed a great pumping experience in my career and keep learning new ways God bless you both
@@MichaelLemay-p1r I very much appreciate that Michael. Connecting with Jeff, as well as several other industries guys has really breathed some newfound enjoyment into my pumping career. I’m hoping to collaborate on many more videos like this in the future.

We normally would use just straight water pump down till you get some air suck back 5 gallon bucket of water might have a handful left in hose off reducer but works good
@@JeffGriffin-z6x couple of guys have mentioned that to me now. I just like the element of certainty which comes with sucking a ball/sponge back prior to the bucket of water.
If I was doing a job like that I would get a WET bag or WET NEWSPAPER and suck back the Hose instead of emptying them by hand I whould just make sure that my hopper was low and feel the hose to not suck back to Far and then when you start pumping again Go nice and slow until the Ball or Paper Bag pop's out you don't want to go full pumping speed because I had it plugged before when I started pumping again and it came out the end of the hose with a BANG that was 20+ years ago and I learned from it and now I go slow until the BAG pop's out
Man I gotta start making videos of me pumping in central Oregon most of the mud here is shit... Most of the time it's a 2 hose max at a time prime out then connect and head on down the line it's miserable Not as bad with my boom pump but can't water wash at all ever it turn into a nasty plug somewhere from separation no matter what you do

I do the same to my locks, rubbers and hoses. I wash them every time. It's so much nicer to go to the next job site when tools are clean.

What are those straps you used for the hoses called?
