      Always appreciate working with you guys on challenging pours like this. 25 years of pumping concrete now, and this one here definitely goes down as one of my most, if not THE most memorable jobs which we have been part of. 👊👊👊

    This is just wild!!!!!! 100% the best video you’ve ever posted ! Even better that that one with Brett Michaels acting a fool lol. What a cool job! I will say I love that they allowed you to wet it up. My Shotcrete customer refuses! Has to be at least a 2” slump for him but to him even that’s too wet.

      Thanks Chris. With a pour like this, the pool company is quite understanding as to the fact that the mud is going to have to be a little more loose than what is typically ideal for them. This crew is top-notch to work with, and as such are very accommodating on a specialty pour like this one.
      100% my most favourite video which I’ve ever shot!!!

  • @mitchell7203
    @mitchell7203 2 місяці тому +2

    So about your S-tube comments...what do you think causes that? Obviously the dry mud is a factor, but is it just because of how slow a big pump kit is moving material? Because I'm used to pumping really dry mud often for civil work and I've never run into it...but I'm always moving a lot of material pretty quickly.

    • @canadianconcretepumper1979
      @canadianconcretepumper1979  2 місяці тому +1

      It is a function of reducing down from a 9" material delivery cylinder to a 2" discharge hose coupled with a mix design which does not have enough aggregate to "self-clean" the S-tube and material cylinders and low volume/high-pressure.

    • @mitchell7203
      @mitchell7203 2 місяці тому +2

      @canadianconcretepumper1979 ahhh sure. I don't do shotcrete... I'm doing dry mud but still with 1.5" rock most of the time so that makes a lot of sense. That really does look like something out of a horror movie.

    The slide housing is too short. The aperture of the hole in the slide plate allowed the slurry to pass through. The hole in the slide needs to be completely covered by the housing fully open. Design fault. 😅 🎉
