We need more of these videos even from other operators in other states and companies trading off the remotes and talking game while pumping concrete. Love where the industry is going
@@travspumplife I’m hoping to put together a road trip for 2025 in which we could travel to a few different areas and hangout with pumpers to see how things are done in their respective markets.
Need to get these Texans some secondary grates for the booms and especially line pumps. Makes a world of difference, I don’t like pumping without one. Love how different things are region to region. It seems to be same from Texas to Louisiana. We blow the residential work up when doing house slabs. When they have room to stage the trucks, wash them out, and get 2 at the pump hopper they’ll load 100+ yards at once. Can make things very stressful if you have any plugs or mechanical problems with the pump. Always gets the blood going first thing in the morning 🤯🤣
Here in DUBLIN IRELAND I was always told to keep the R, P, M up at the Max and if you need to pump slower Turn the speed down with the volume control because the Hydraulic Pump's don't like it if you run them at low R,P,M it can damage the parts inside the Main Hydraulic Pump. That's on a Schwing concrete pump. I don't know if Putzmeister or Concord are the same.
@@johnnybrophy8229 I’ve heard similar for a Putz, but with the price of fuel these days, I’ll gladly take saving $25 per day in fuel consumed at the potential cost of my hydraulic pump lasting say 5,000 pump hours versus 5,500. It really comes down to if the machine is having to push hard are not, IMO.
We load the water in our hoppers at our yard at the end of the day so you dont have to worry about it when the mud shows up. just start pumping ...equalize the pump pressure then let them dump the mud.
Conforms air cuff system the one with the push button remote is where moving a pump shines because it’ll stay closed even when taking pump out of pto 😝 Take the air cuff off the pump switch and put back on remote
@@randyanderson1983 We had an older machine which had the separate “garage door opener” remote for the air-cuff. Always hated that thing. I believe ours was wired into with PTO activated relay though, so it also didn’t provide us the benefit which you mention. It would have been super handy in that regard for sure.
@@randyanderson1983 All of ours since have been outfitted from Putz with the air-cuff system. The only unit we’ve ever retrofitted came wih the remote. Is it possible to have the air-cuff solenoid activated by both the pump on/off switch, as well as the separate “garage door opener” style remote? Seems like doing so could provide the best of both worlds. 🤔🤔🤔
@@mitchell7203 I may have to look into this…. when the day finally comes that I land myself a shiny new 28Z Putz “Full-Flex” that I’ve been talking about for years now 😁
@@mikeeemike988 I mean, it worked… not for me though as I really don’t see the benefit with our material. IMO, all it does with our dandy mix is make it more likely to plug in the prime and increase the odds of jamming in the pipe/elbow so hard that we now have to start pulling system apart to deal with the plug. I’m a slow primer for life! 😁😁👊🏻
The next time Jeff is going to Canada tell him to bring Bill with him, i'm sure he would try your 38m Putz. By the way great video Scott, since you said you're going to Texas i was expecting a video with Bill and you with the boom pump. Greetings from the north east of France.
@@lebarbaretiteuf it was super awesome getting to meet Bill in person after all these years of watching him in UA-cam vids. I think if we got him out on the 38-5 Putz, he’d have a tough time ever going back to the roll ‘N fold.
