Is mortar cement different from normal cement
Is that a normal cementation How many meter pipe extension can that one bucket of cementation travel to. Without jamming..
Here in Merica I use one bucket per 100 FEET of rubber hose feel free to convert from freedom units 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅
Hell yea! On my way to a pool deck right now. Let's see if the ol 28 meter will play nice with a 3" hose today😅
Get yourself a gorilla bucket.
I like the grill you put on the hopper to make it all squares stopping any lumps of unmixed mud getting into your line and plugging as-well as any build up coming out the mixer plugging up. Great result grouting the line.
Only took a good ole boy from Texas to show you how it’s done. 🤣😂
Honestly when I think of the best primer it’s that wet grout going up 50 stories it’s not that thick
Hey Scott you might want to consider this to be a part of the rules to it should be that you shouldn't be allowed to change bags of stuff to make your slurry it should be what you have for slurry to begin with is what you use. Unlike buster plug who you went to something else so he completely disqualified himself I guess by doing all that huh
@@user-ng2mt2yr1t So I truly do feel that Buster just simply caught himself a bad break at the worst possible time. That being said, we still gotta give him shit for not running a secondary screen over that hopper during such high-profile event as this one. 😂😂😂
@@canadianconcretepumper1979 he knows better work we have to just keep giving them s*** just like you said
That setup and primer consistency ,& mix design , .. uh um , If you did plug,,,?/ The walk of shame would be embarrassing
@@markrobinson6883 the 2” hose and 1/2” stone mix is a less forgiving combo that one may think. Easy money all day long through 2.5” but the 2” can be a real hit or miss sometimes.

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 oh nice! Good stuff! how far up are you guys using your 24Z for high rise work?
@@bowenike she’s solid to about 35 floors. Anything above that and the S-tube likes to get seized in place from hopper flex. We’ve pushed as high a 43 with it before.
@@canadianconcretepumper1979 holy shit. Whats the pumpkit? I would imagine it gets slower at those heights but fast enough that the contractor isn’t side eyeing you. That impressive for such a little boom to me.
@@bowenike So we special ordered this one from factory with the 16H pump kit. A few years later we had an SBU kit put in it for running the hydraulics to piston side. It makes pressure to pump 50 stories, the issue is all that pressure slamming back down towards the machine in between strokes when pumping vertical. The hopper succumbs to flex and gives up well before the pump kit reaches its “red zone”
Glad i had not entered today .. Tried 5 times spent about hour and half lost my shit ... sent the truck back .... had a reprieve....the client ordered the wrong concrete .... cheap and nasty not for pumps .... could of boxed some ears ...
That's frustrating
Your daughter did a nice job Scott on the picture but she forgot the concrete pump at the hopper to so yeah it is a continuation she did a good job though I'm proud of Emma

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 well hopefully you don't have to twist your arm too hard to get her to put the concrete truck on the back of the pump and you know show the rest of the portrait of what what is all goes with it that would be awesome to see

My line pour Tuesday morning perfect prime. Contractor switched mixes for the house garage. Went back to a regular boom mix 3/4 rock. Jammed solid in the reducers. Had to pull it all out and switch to 4” to finish it off. How do you score that. Lol
@@kyledally8410 I’m going to say if it don’t even get through the reducer, it’s a fresh start with the larger size line. The other one I had forgotten is: what if we plug during the prime, but not AT the head of the prime??? (Eg: piece of debris jams is up back at the reducer halfway through a prime) 🤔🤔🤔
Swing Tube Challenge also!
@@fronabargerconveyingpumping Yes Darin!!! Completely forgot that one. It was probably our most popular contest to date. You done good coming up with that one 👌👌👌
I haven’t plugged on a prime since Lassie was a puppy. Then today I met my demise! I left system laid out for a day 2 pour at the same location. Well the first day clean out was followed with a shit ton of water being ran through it just to make sure the clean out was successful since I wasn’t gonna be cracking anything open. Totally forgot to roll the water out this morning and it separated big time but it did go 200ft before it did lol. Glad I’m not in a prime out competition because that’s just silly of me to forget something that simple. Rookie move for sure! Oh but the first pour went fine. 275ft push went as good as it normally would. Crazy day!
@@chriscalhoun.concretepumping I’m typically pretty happy just to make it 200 feet…. then Mortar Cement entered into my life 😂😂😂

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 I’m glad you finally found something that you can use. It’s funny how concrete mix designs may look alike but in different areas those same ingredients that we have here may not be the same there. Our sand is fine white beach looking sand. Same as our beaches in the gulf. Different areas pump differently it’s just the way it is.
This should be an Olympic sport.

Here in IRELAND when I started learning on pump's when I was a Kid 30+ years ago we didn't even have a remote control was an old Schwing Gate Valve 23M Boom and I worked on every type of pump over the years from Hydroseal, Thomson, Cifa, Putzmeister, Schwing and a few other from line pump to 63M Putzmeister Boom. I remember Training Guy's you started as a Helper Linesman going out with different drivers and after a while you would drive a line pump for a while and then work your way up from the small Booms to the Bigger Booms. And I always use a 25KG Bag of Cement for grouting and never have any problems
I guess I’m going to have to build a shadow box for all the plastic trophies 😂😂😂

Ik schrijf nu even in het Nederlands bij ons gewoon een smeerbed cement en water en dat gaat altijd goed ,meestal door een betonmixer als de pomp aan de leiding zit 😂 greetings scott.
Hey Piet!!! What I’ve stumbled upon recently is mortar cement. It’s similar to Portland cement except appears to have air entrained in it. From what I’ve seen so far, this mortar cement could be my ticket to the title!!!!
My business is supplying spare parts and dealing used road building machine in Korea. Your working is interesting and i am big fan of JUNJIN concrete pump truck. I wish you have pleasant work and nice video. Thank you. As weatehr is changing. Take care health condition.
@@b777crewsm JunJin builds a very solid machine. They are marketed under then brand name “Alliance” here in. North America. They have been hugely successful in our market.
In Pennsylvania we call that a tremie hose
We pump down till you push some air out throw in reverse and just suck back a 5 gallon bucket of water works great with 2 inch and 2 and a half
Hi
Why do your have the rubbers inside out
Mortar cement and masonry cement is the same thing. Yes it works way better than straight Portland. Scott just use about 4-5 scoops for a 5 gallon bucket. I put my 47Lb /21KG bag in a dog food bucket with lid. I get about 7-10 pump jobs per bag.
Hey Scott big congratulations to you on your big 10K there I'm really happy for you you worked really hard you and your brother and everybody to make these videos I love it I appreciate it it's awesome I can't wait to come up there
So I use to be a mason for 20+ yrs and I’ve never heard of MORTAR CIMENT.. We used type N Mortar Mix that was just a cement powder. Also paper always leaves my hoses a little dirty. If I use a rubber clean out ball I have no issues. I use paper all the time but only if I’m running from one job to another pretty fast.
Were you using an AARCOMM on this one?
Congratulations on 10k Scott

Canadian pumper ...just stick with the Bentonite!!!!it's much cheaper
@@eddieleon39 I LOVE bentonite in terms of cost, ease of use, and just the simple logistics of storing/transporting it on the pump. HOWEVER…. we do have a prime-out challenge coming up here, and I feel as though my lowest risk odds of plugging will be achieved with using this mortar cement. More seriously though, I’ve been pumping mostly for our in-house placing crew lately, and the hassle/mess associated with not being able to pump the prime directly into the pour can be a PIA, as well as the very slight risk of bentonite contamination finding its way into the pour area, even when the prime has been caught in a bucket or pumped off to the side of the pour.
Congratulations to 10k🎉 Jeff will be very proud of you for taking mortarcement for the prime out .😂😂😂💪🏻💪🏻👍🏻
@@dennyruppert9583 So the mortar cement I’m taking full credit for (even though I discovered it by mistake). My bold prediction is that when I win the upcoming prime-out challenge, Jeff switches over to Mortar cement as well. 😁😁😁
Many years ago when I was a young buck. Soap was a pump aid. When you ordered a mix with pump aid it was just a soap added to the mix But the mixes have changed. That why when I watch you guys run all this rubber I cringe. Years ago we ran as much steel line as possible and then rubber as short a run as possible The mix hates rubber line it was Canadian concrete plugger all over again
@@sirmister4411 We’re fortunate in that our regular ready mix supplier in the city has a real “Gucci” 2 inch line mix. If I had to pump this stuff every day (especially the mud from the first day/pour out here) I’d definitely be reconsidering my position in terms of using so much small diameter rubber for sure.
Wow. You need a vacation from your vacation lol It is a vacation when it’s someone else plugging up and not you no pressure
@@sirmister4411 Lol!!!! Is it weird that I actually kinda enjoyed the adversity???
Congratulations on reaching 10K - that pour went well a good creamy grout saves busting your backside tipping Plugged pipes easy life, a good video nice guys' on site helps' the job go smoother Buster pluggs' will be impressed with your Grout.
Here in DUBLIN IRELAND we use a 25KG Bag of Cement and I use about 20KG of it in one bucket for less than 150 foot and anything more I use the full Bag and I have a grout pot in the Reducer and I mix it up and pour it in sometimes 2 hours before concrete gets there and it never goes off sales tru the line
@@johnnybrophy8229 So you find the sent does not change in composition when introduced into the system significantly prior to the pour? That’s a big plus for me, as that is/was one of the main reason I liked bentonite so much, I could dump it into the system literally hours prior to the pour without fear of it setting up. I know that with the mortar mix it really needs to be left until the last possible moment, as it separates quit quickly if left stagnant.
That looked slick as snot! Is it possible you’ve found something better than Type N mortar mix?? I may have to snag me a bag and give it a try!
And congrats on 10k!!
