Thanks for a video! I just checked my new lanshan1 pro and found that they have double stitching on that side. So hopefully wont be a problem. Cheers Ed
Can't believe people don't have sewing machines at home. Would've taken me 5 sec to fix that. The amount of repair and alterations I've done to stuff has paid off my sewing machine 5 times over.
I’m with you mate. I haven’t got a sewing machine but I have fixed, repaired & improved hundreds of things by hand over the years. Modern throw-away society 🙄
@@JustinWhiting9 I’d be thrilled if my sew job came out that neat. This is where I miss my mother’s sewing skills! I took my Lanshan 2 Pro and a section hike of the JMT in the High Sierra last number and it worked out flawlessly, the weather however was mild with little precipitation. Cheers !
Great video, thank you.....As far as I'm concerned, the word ,,Lanshan ””scares me......I can't trust such a thing. I prefer to make a quality purchase, even if it's much more expensive.👌
@@jonnyp1778 If it’s one of the lower ones, then you don’t need to worry about leaking. If it’s one of the two half-way up the flysheet then it could leak but not that much. More importantly though, if you don’t stitch and strengthen they will eventually pull apart and ruin the tent. Get the needle and thread out! 🪡 🧵
I will never buy a Lanshan product ... For a defective $140 product, they have cost themselves thousands. Obviously, their customer service is not only nasty and terrible but non-existent. And they pay employees to act in this rude, arrogant, and selfish manner. The correct solution would have been to request an email photo of the defect and then provide a new tent with an apology.
Yeah, I was a bit miffed at the time but my trust in this so-called 'flimsy and inferior' tent has grown and grown. Well happy with it (and my repair)! 👍
The wind was so strong it pulled the pegs out from under those rocks and the flysheet was whipping me in the face! Why do we do it Gordon?! Ha ha! 😂 Yep, plenty of trails coming soon...
Proper job that Justin 👍🏻 🧵
More Flintstones than Stitchy Bee! 😄
Ha! Not at all, and it works a treat. Perfect! 🐝
Your stitching skills never cease to amaze me. Seriously, man - I couldn't do that to save my life!! 😄
That one was more ‘Flintstones’ than Zpacks but I’ll take the win! 🤘

Hope it’s ok Ed

Changed it just like that... Miss u @ work Justin. U r truly an amazing person. Lets keep in touch.. Keep posting videos...Cheers!.....
Now seeing this, I wont buy from them again, and I have bought quite a bit. Cheers Justin.
Well John, I was a bit miffed at the time. I guess we should expect this for low prices 🙄

Glad you found a fix for your problem. Did you sew by hand or on a machine.
By hand. My stitching is normally quite neat, that job was a bit scruffy but it worked!

I’d love to do the JMT trail 👌

Fair enough.
Hi Justin, I have a similar issue but on one of the side tie outs, can this be fixed successfully.?
I guess so, if the fabric is not ripped then you can copy my method. 👍
@@JustinWhiting9 don't think it's ripped, just stitching
@@JustinWhiting9 I did send a email asked Ng for a refund but as it's been seam sealed does that not void the warranty?

@@JustinWhiting9 ok thank you Justin, guess I'm sewing this weekend 😆
Great sticking skills, I love my Lanshan sooooo much, I'm going to be heart broken if it ever gets damaged 👍
You can always fix it! 👍 …. And make a video….

Yeah, not great Bill. Happy with my repair though. 👍
A good outcome all things considered Justin. Poor service tho eh. I still haven’t sealed my lanshan and never had any leaks tbh. Atb gordon

@@JustinWhiting9 it’s served you well: I recall the really windy camp with it. Hoping you have some trips planned for coming months.
