Don't you spread lies DTOM. Djeoph is best. Bob especially loved him :>
Umm, I'm just gonna watch the full episode like I always do 😂
Interesting that you took the time to do this. I’m very curious why you chose to.
Bodger hammer is level 3 now not level 2 remember the hill giant, the frost giant and now the stone giant ???
@@Likeahorse88 originally, it was just to keep track of Ben's terrible rolls. It just sorta became this.
Random NPC still locked up in the dungeon of the theater: any day now, they sure won't leave without keeping their promise and freeing me
Bodger's memory training will fail again.
And they wonder why lumosity hasn't sponsored them yet
……..
Let's be real here they will burn the theater down with him STILL inside the dungeon forget all about it and then remember when rob describes how he died horribly in the fire
Chaotic evil parties, man.
Rob is so focused, when he makes the sentences in the future tense for endelyn. You can almost see the smoke coming out of his ears.
It was the biggest challenge on how to talk for any NPC I've ever made myself. Fun challenge though.
I love how in the greenscreen, Rob gave rowan 6 seconds to jump of a cliff and try to tie a rope to his hammer and throw it,
Rowan, look up a “man-overboard knot” AKA a “flying bowline”. It was used on ships to allow someone to tie a fixed loop like a lasso into a rope in 1 second so they could instantly throw it to someone who fell off the boat.
...I am astounded. That is awesome.
Whoa, that's so cool! Thanks for sharing!
….. 😮
I feel as if Gjeoph has been in Epic NPC Man the whole time, just ever so slightly out of frame.
He's like the polar opposite of that one other character but I forget who... some dark magic user? Has a weird multiple voice thing going on? Cancun something or other? But yeah, d'Jeoph is far more memorable.
Well he's a generic white guy which is not that common in DnD 🙃
@@imhigh0013 isn't her name Kettlesteam?
@@Adam_okaay it is
Just like Kettlesteam, he was always around. Who do you think told the villagers that the adventurer kicked the chicken? Who takes care of Greg´s garlic farm while he gives out quests? Ol´ Djeoph
I'm sure that this had been said somewhere, but the failstack mechanic Rob made for Bob is just so awesome. Give him advantage from his own bad luck, in a prefectly balance way, so cool.
...and, during the play, Bodjer hear something under his chair. He looks and sees a weathered doll face looking him dead in the eyes! MOMMY!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Somewhere some place is a doll walking slowly along in a swamp. A feint chant can be heard coming from it. “Mommy, mommy, mommy,….”
"I think Djeoph is dejected"
That was far too clever for Bodger XD
He has his moments 😆
That was like a Drax line for sure haha
Agreed. Line of the episode for me!
I loved that sentence
Heck yeah, that line deserves some fanfare.
The layering of spells to bring his illusion to life is the dedication to his craft that made Baradun the High Sorcerer.
And makes Adam a great player. Such great imaginative uses of his spells rather than just 'fireball go brrr'
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnDAdam has been a fantastic player, pays attention to the story, has fun, lets the DM have space when they need, and takes relevant notes
Well... it might be creative.
Doesn't change the fact that all of his turns in this entire fight were completely useless (since no giant ever attacked Djeoff).
Had he just used all these spellslots for scorching rays / fireballs / magic missiles both giants would have been dead 2-3 rounds earlier.
@@chukku2175DnD is about having fun and role playing, not meta gaming
@@chukku2175it’s almost like not everyone is trying to sweaty min max all the time
Kenneth's acting is so bad that after the first act endelyn forgets the trading thing and starts giving out fortunes for free just to distract herself from the play
She traded relief from boredom for her wisdom.
FACTS!
LOL Sir Vey HAS to interview Djeoph at some point, with Baradun in the back.
I was thinking a whole series dedicated to Djeoph but this also works
Seconded!!!
Please!!
Dam, I was just thinking this. New title? "Sir Vey Sez"?
@@austinstone478 lol now I hope Sir Vey asks Jdeoph for a name
I can't believe they murdered a teenager and took his balls after committing to be better people.
I can believe it. I mean the corpse of an old man is still rotting in the shop in honeywood.
Startiiiiing......now!
@@neowolf09 maybe when they finally back to honeywood the corpse turned into an undead sort of boss and turns everyone in honeywood undead enemies
Could that be what brought zombies to Honeywood during that episode of Epic NPC man?
Djeoph, was the real MVP. How he kept everyone's spirit high. Bob's sword arm well exercised and taught him to get past his shyness and let the man lick imaginary tears.
By the title, we just learned that this channel belongs to Baradun, wich is secretly sharing his adventures on youtube
Yeah, no points for guessing who chooses the episode titles...
I love 29:07 when the editing team gets to give a little bit of sass with that star wipe. It's always fun to get other voices in on the telling of this story.
"How does Bob fuck it up tho?" Fucking savage. Hahahaha
"Wotsit is diving in and out like a dolphin" followed by "HELLO MY BABY HELLO MY RAGTIME GAL!" made me laugh SO hard, holy shit 🤣😂🤣
Oh…. I think Djeoph will have a prominent role in the future events. And if he just tries hard enough, he and Bob/Ben will become the best of friends…
He and Bob are already best friends?
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD More like frienemies. :D
"best friends"
Genuinely emphasised best friend
6:50 "27 PLUS 4d6?!"
"Wowee!"
"Bob CAN do damage!"
_"Heaps_ of numbers!"
"But wait wait wait... So but how does... _How does Bob f*** it up though?"_
Only took 105 episodes to find out Bob really can do damage! And the utter shock and disbelief from the entire group is *amazing* 😂
27*
27 +4d6
@@tommyjohnson100 Whoops! Thanks - apparently I, too, was too shocked by Bob's big moment to type properly :P [Edit: fixed. 👍]
Bob does do large damage often. Like when he exploded the monster of the Hag..... Only for the Hag to go I was thinking the same thing and exploded damage back at him, almost jumping and exploding him from inside out....
So........
Yeah. Bob cursed :)
I'm sure all those automatic crits won't come back to bite BOB in the future... (watches Rob scribble down a count of how many times it has been used)
*evil grin* oh keep watching... mwahahaha
Next to Frank, the puppet is another npc that i love from Rob. Proper makeup and outfit and it's perfection 😄
Definitely my favorite non party npc so far. Rob does it too well
Djeophreigh as his mother calls him
hahahah yep!
This is the first time I fully appreciated Rob's DM screen. There are of course our four intrepid heroes, plus Alfie and Number 14. Some wolves, a bullywug, a giant, probably the displacer beast, and what appears to be the ghost of Frank in the lower right hand corner? Nicely done! But why is Lord King Sir Conrau on the baddies' side? He's such a noble being, and his speech therapy has been going so well recently!
He was baddie turned ally.
21:54. New entry for the campaign soundtrack! The "Bodger Attunes to His Hammer with a Giant's Testicle" Song.
. . . Strangely catchy 😳
There needs to be some curse that makes Djeofph a real person next time Baradun conjures him just so Bob can jump inside him and obliterate him lol.
Bob would love that
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD We all would! Especially if it just happened to occur after he's appeared on 'behind the dice'. 😂
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD If he rolls a wild surge on major image, do this. Don't have it be random what happens.
Papa! Papa! I'm alive! I'm a real boy now!...::Djeofph shivers::........BOOOOOOM!!!
@@izme1000 oh dude that would be perfect lol.
That voice for Endolyn has got to be destroying Rob's vocal cords.
If the voice you're doing hurts, you're doing it wrong.
We need more jdeofph! I feel he’s definitely the glue of this group 😂
"dwarven warhammer! now with nuts!"
popped into my head 😁
The ball buster
I support Ben, just pure irrational hatred. Also, the more we know about Bodger, the stranger it gets :D
He's misterious in his simple ways
Djeofph is just how Baradun sees the other adventurers.
I'm so impressed with Rob as a DM, like he's really on point, quick witted, genuinely funny and always keeping the campaign interesting while dealing with this partys' complete randomness so well. I love VLDL and I think Rob is the perfect DM for this crew, well done all!
So Bob did a shortbow crit but in greenscreen used eldrige blast? 8:15
17:17 Djeoph the 5 of us.. even the illusion forgot Keetlesteam.
Djoeph is the Mary Sue (Mmaerreah Tsough) we all need in this series!
I love how pleased Rob is with the players' character growth and achievements and the way the story has progressed. I'd wager he'd be a great teacher in the way he's able to set boundaries and be firm about the rules but flexible enough to allow for individual talents and needs.
In a universe where I didn't meet Viva, I would be a math teacher
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD their loss is our gain.
Rob is going to have to give a +10 DC to all illusion of Djeoph. The banter between him and Bob is JUST TO GOOD!!!
Anyone who even considers it might be a illusion will think twice when they see Bob arguing with him. Bill, he can't be an illusion, look at his face, no one gets that mad over an imaginary teammate. Nobody!
I'm in Southern California, USA and watched VLDL for years. I seriously don't fit your demographics. I'm a senior citizen gamer (GrannyGamer) who has played from the old systems, probably before you all were born, up to now. Watched the NPC D & D since episode 1. Djeoph is the first player (I realize he's an illusion) that has inspired me to stop lurking and comment. This episode was hilarious. Don't let some people's intense hatred, I'm looking at you Bob, keep him from coming back. 😂 Man that was funny.
Glad to have you, Granny Gamer!
Djeoph is clearly primed to become the big bad - the morphic resonance of Bob’s hatred in proximity to the dreamland portal condensing him into a sentient being - Bob’s love being the only way to defeat him.
During the campaign Djeofph will finally realise his wish to be a real boy made of flesh and blood....then be instantly eaten by the Dragon of Distraction inadvertently summoned by the team's inability to coalesce around a single organised thought.
It's that gas leak in the studio they've been ignoring.
... or Baradun's Wild Magic Surge, whichever way the dice roll that day.
Wish is a very powerful spell, that can do just that.
I was angry how psychotic Greg had became in last table session. Happy to see him coming back to his sense
Bodgers choice of stone giant part represented by a rock was a perfect green screen moment. Also when you and bodger were in the green screen together and he tries to tie a rope on his hammer in 6 seconds made me laugh hard. 😂
Now hammer throws have a 10% chance of nut shots that require CON saves.
I feel like I might be the only one realizing this, but the mountain they are on could be the mountain that they need to get to in order to plant the seeds so bob can go to the giants realm, which was established in episode 64. I haven’t seen anyone else talking about this
Hopefully Djeoph and baby doll " mommy" will become best friends , united in their despair of being hated by Bob and Bodger
The hammer attunement song was amazing.
Every time Baradun summons Djeoph, it would be hilarious if Bob then takes psychic damage seemingly out of nowhere
Just doing my part to boost the algorithm, definitely one of the best dnd play and deserve a lot more audience (and more episodes ;D)
"A STAR WIPE!!"
"No, we're going to do a page fold. A page fold transition."
_star wipe transition_
This show is great. I love the format, I love the story, I love the DM, I love the length of the videos, I love all you guys! Every week I'm looking forward to another episode. Thanks guys!
Djeoph HAS, and I mean HAS to become 'NPC man' canon from now on.
Hopefully, the equivalent of that character that was made invincible in WoW because so many players killed him. Everyone "deserves" more Djeoqphz. He is "the best".
i love Rowen's face saying "that's bullshit" when he failed roping his hammer in 6 seconds :D
Why Djeoph noooooo!!!!!!!. Narrater reads "As Baradun and the dick heads, slaughter a kid and takes his balls. A cry let out by an unstable sorcerer for the time ye ended a illusion's life". End scene. Next Bill Shakespeare play is on its way. But don't let Kenneth act, he is sooo not good.
Kenneth can play the part of the testicle.
18:39 THANK YOU SSSSSO MUCH Rob, for the Arrested Development reference ^^
Best show ever.
Pity the ettin who envies his brother, who decapitates him to take his place, only to realise there is another a familiar head with an unwelcome face.
Master Laethil envied Baradun and decapited him of his powers, but are soon to realise that there is another that wants to claim the power of being high sorcerer, but who? someone we know with an unwelcome face... could it be...
I was thinking that its either Baradun since hes someone we know and can claim it or.... Kelathac comes back
Unwelcome face probably means master padraic
Not gonna lie I feel bad for the giant that left. Right at 25:04 I was like "Aww poor thing."
I know! Actually felt bad, I wonter if they could use a piece of hair or nails or something to attune
@@bradleeweber9753 Pretty sure the Giant has to be dead.
Lmao I love how many times Bob had to fail to get that big hit
I love how Djeofph keeps getting letters added to his name lol like he's different models every time he's summoned
Why do I feel like there's going to be an Epic NPC Man episode about an escort quest, and it's going to be to escort Djeofph, who's never actually met the party before but is met with a very unreasonable amount of hatred.
Also would like to suggest to Baradun that next time you need an illusion, give "Bawb" a whirl. /innocent smile
i wonder if makeing a "called shot' aimed shot at the leggs of the giant would work to trip.
yep
I was thinking the same
Back of the knee.
Djeph shows up a dozen more times as an illusion, then one day, out of nowhere a REAL Djeoph appears (which of course everyone assumes is an illusion once more)...
… and Bob tries to stab him and succeeds?
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD And licks his tears. How awkward.
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD and the real Djeoph turns out to be a badass who shrugs it off and assumes it's just Bob's way of greeting new friends.
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD Baradun's wild surge on an illusion results in it becoming a summoning spell instead (but nobody knows it until Djeoph fails to disappear at the expiry of the spell)
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD, come on, it's Bob, what are the chances he would succeed at stabbing a real Djeoph?
We want to see Djeph again like he was the little brother of Baradun he never had!
Djeoph is the hero we've been waiting waiting for
It's been nice knowing you, Djeofph. So much of involvement and energy. Such an amazing character.
Djeoph was the true mvp of this episode i'm still crying over his death it was so sad .
Nowa behind the dice with djeoph in it would be excellent and i'd gladly watch it like the previous one.
Major props to Adam who is clearly the most committed D&D player with his notes. Love it.
I am so glad Greg is finally feeling useful... you do matter Greg!
We all know rolling the dead giant was Bodger’s attempt at flirting now that he is starting to notice Kettlesteam.
Djeoph is the best character ever created! I'd love to see a spin-off series that's just about him 😁
The prophecy she says at the end is literally about Beradun defeating laethall, and its going to be someone else who is the big bad. Thats my theory.
Agree!
Yup, like a dragonborn maybe....or the previous high sorcerer never actually died.
I like how bob had completely forgotten that he has to find out more about his patron
the poppet acting by rob in these is just so good, i love it
I dont mean this lightly but Djeoph might be the greatest Epic NPC Man character ever!! Should have his own series!! Bravo!!
I want to thank you Rob for finally showing players just how fast 6 seconds is.
Yay, dnd sitcom time. I'm rooting for you Hapless Bob!
B.O.B annoyed at Bygg and Tawl, when his brothers are called F.I.B. and N.A.B.
Rob. You are a God amongst men!!!! And no, this isn't limiting player creativity because the action economy matters. Especially once you get magic items
Now if they would actually use them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@jerrywilliams7864 as Adam says , he's doing chess while the rest are doing preschool addition :):):):)
This battle is really showing synergy. The use of space is really improving. Baradun should try to hang in the Poppy bubble but putting out an illusion near Bob was really clever.
Great episode! Loved the 6 second rope tie challenge!!! Thanks for doing that Rob. Now I can show players an example of why you can’t do 15 things during a 6 second round (okay maybe if you’re a monk :) ). Oh and More DJEPPH please!!!!
Djeoph could fit into practically any VLDL production, from Bored to Baelins Route; please, sneak him in as a background character! What a legend.
Bob screws it up by forgetting he has Savage Attacker again! :D
”Tear of Djeoph” gotta be an ingredient in a future skit. Like “ahu, ahu, ahu, please help me good adventurer! I need your aid. Please bring me “Tear of Djeo-pho” to heal my sick child.
Kettlesteam: "Nice work"
Bodger: "You too"
This is a beautiful romance blossoming 🥰
Djeofph should be a voice in Bob’s twisted head and when he listens to him he gets a plus 2 to any dice roll.
I wonder if the group had followed the giant through the portal out of the "Dreamworld", would they have suddenly found themselves in the real world?
End up working at Playtech maybe 🤔
I think Baradun made Djeoph like that because that is how all adventurers look like to him.
Puh-lease brother, tell me they don’t leave the theater without putting the mask in the missing slot. It’s been killing me since Rob mentioned the missing Sock.
...wait and see.
The gang: We now have our own studio. We’ll be able to make so many AMAZING props!
Also the gang: Let’s all pretend this avocado is a giant testicle.
That scene in the theatre box was amazing 😂😂
I love that Rob made him try it in Green Screen. I hope he feels vindicated
I do love Djeoph. I will recommend this series to everyone I meet if Djeoph becomes part of the crew.
The best twist. Djeoph is a PLAYER that bested Baradun and he's made this image to get back at him.
B.O.B. hates name puns... B? Osiris Bladesong also known as BOB hates name puns.
Hm. Projecting much?
BOB is an acronym. Djeiphreigh is an abomination
Kettlesteam being a grass type and using razor leaf against a rock giant was something I didn't know I needed.
Djeoph is probably the kind of guy who Mac Games over enthusiastically
Honestly. Djeoph is my favorite character. I had to stop the video cause I was laughing so much.😂😂😂
Djeoph is the best. Already miss him and his fanny pack. More Djeoph please.
I liked hearing the alternative scenario of what would've happened if they chose to go another route. I wouldn't mind more of that.
Rob has his own Twitch and he does a Behind the Screen on this series.
Watch RobertHartleyGM with me on Twitch! www.twitch.tv/roberthartleygm?sr=a
They murdered giants who were playing games, and were not intentionally hostile. Who more than likely would of talked to them without any issue. LMFAO
Love the fact that you can hear it raining I the background from about 30 minutes
I can't wait until Bodger finds out that Djeoph is sponsored by Lumosity.
Yes more Djeoph, what would make it even more fun if he now appers in the game as an actual NPC or maybe even a guest who plays him, that would be superb. Go Djeoph! :D
