Looks like an eurotruck ripoff but what would be nice if they include
1. driver buys food and water
2nd. you can get out of the truck to fill papers
but then again how different can you actually make a truck simulator game?

This seems to have stuff the ETS 2 doesnt have. Realistic roads as an example. The vanilla ETS 2 map is suited for people who have no skill. Dont get me wrong i plsy ETS 2 but only due to a lack of anything better.
The trailer in the back was going crazy.
I actually want this game to be good just to wake up SCS, i mean ETS2 has no smoke, no tire sounds and many many other things....
If you see smoke coming out of the stacks of a modern truck, it's broken.
Modern trucks have no visible smoke. People that 'roll coal' have to get after market products to make their trucks do that. If professional drivers used those, they'd be shut down.

Game need tons of work to be a real competitor to ETS2.
The only thing i liked what i saw was the box truck alternative.
Hmm think I'll stick with ETS & ATS, they look sound and play better
a lot of models seem like they were stolen directly from ets2
but the map actually looks a lot more detailed and varying unlike ets2 where every city and highway just look the same with some different objects here and there
with some improvements like graphics, physics, extension of the map, addition of vehicles, and customization features i think it could compete with ets2
Like everyone says, its pretty much a ETS2 Rip off
But it has some things i wish ETS2 would have, like box truck with tandem trailers. Or different configurations on the trucks instead of just lorrys, you would also have flatbeds. Boxes etc for long hauls

And this is a better game then a ets2 and in this game you can get out of the truck and ets2 where you can’t get out of the truck in ets 2

Well this game wont make it, nowhere clear to what ETS2 is at. The fun addition is ofcourse that you can walk outside the truck but aslong there isnt a real context for doing so, its a waste of resources.

Two things it has going for it over ETS2 is you can get out and walk around the truck in first person and that Scania sounds better then the stock sounds for the Scania on ETS2. They should try doing a ATS style one seeing SCS is taking FOREVER with mapping the States and if they can, a multi-player for it to seeing TruckersMP seems to have washed their hands of ever updating their ATS servers.
One thing this have over ATS or ETS is the fact you can get out and walk around. SCS needs to add in the ability to do that, to fill up the fuel tanks, do your pre-trip inspections, little stuff like that would add so much to the game.
The cruiseship is Celebrity Cruises, Millenium class.

I tried this when it first came out as early access, and got frustrated. I usually play with a controller, and couldn't get it to work correctly. It seems most of the discussions on Steam are in German, and my Deutsch ist nicht so gut. The game does look good as an alternative to ETS2 and ATS, so I think I'll download it and give it another go.
EDIT: I downloaded it again, and gave it another (short period of time) go. I was able to drive the truck (chose the MAN straight truck) right away with my Xbox One controller - gas, brake, steering, view all worked without any additional "fiddling" from me. Looking forward to a longer drive tonight, and perhaps resetting some of the other controls.

the only thing like about this that you can actually get out of the cab, euro truck sim2 should do that aswell!

Its not impossible but nothing in the world is interactive so what is the point?
Timmy Burden simple, you make things interactive... like having to get out the truck to refuel, getting out the truck at a service station to walk into reception
I like the idea but in this game it seems super limited. I think they should put more effort into other things. Like trailer parking.

daggerwin, a tip for ref for ya, the profile creation screnn, you can use the keyboard use mouse to click on aletter first then use moyse to click were it put you first letter and then u can type in using keyboard

I think the red green and blue slider was the colour of your trucks
They put all this effort in models and details of vehicles, cranes and surroundings. But the road models and textures are quite bad. Sharp edgy corners instead of round and smooth. I mean this isn't 2008 anymore. I'm pretty sure it can be done better. And it just drives so much better when playing a game like this for several hours...
Still early access, I know, but they really need to add a lot more different cars. For now I think it only has the bus, the Sprinter, Astra and Berlingo. Imagine spending hours on the road and only seeing these vehicles... not very good for immersion.
Driving in this game feels more like a Big Rig.
After driving this going back to SCS makes it glaringly obvious how more arcade the driving in those games are.
I also like the scale .... it actually takes a while to get any where in this game.
You have to remember that SCS has been making the same game since 2004. There is no way that this game can equal over 10 years of development in less than 1 year. :-)
The only 2 things I like about this game that I wish ats and ets would add is have every button be able to be clicked and u can walk around like in this game but it does not look amazing I know it is in early version but still

After watching this video I tried the game out and to be honest if SCS does not end the ETS2 project and start an ETS3 with a new engine such as the unreal engine, in a matter of time this game would beat it and should this game get a multiplayer, ETS2 is as good as dead.
Why do I make such bold prediction
1) The trailer physics is so real on this game. If you've actually being in a truck towing a trailer you'll know why truckers slow down when taking sharp turns or attempting to swerve for example what happened in 12:47.
In ETS2 you can take bends at 130km/h and it feels like the trailer is part of the truck which is very unreal.
2) The graphics of this game flaws ETS2 graphics. This looks so real and believable.
This game has potential and should not be dismissed because all it takes is time before it gains greater acceptance among the simulation community and I personally feel SCS is running out of content with their ETS2 project. Most of their new DLC gets played for a week or two and people abandon them. With time people will seek newer simulation trucking games

I agree. Even if this does not replace ETS2, I hope it offers some competition. Right now SCS have no competitors in their niche field, which is never a good thing.
1) You can change the settings for trailer stability, want it realistic - turn it down.
2)If you think the graphics in this game outshine ETS2, you really need your eyes checked. The graphics in this does not look real in any way.
3) Where did you get the information people only play the DLC's for a week? With the MP mod there are thousands of people playing.
4) ETS2 and ATS physics are real as well as the sounds - they are collected and recorded from real trucks.
This game makes you love ETS. Witch is booring allready. But is nice that you can interact with surroundings.
about the graphic SCS have nothing to worry bout but the roads in this game is more realistic, the driver have to get out of the cap to refuel that's a very good idea, let's see after a few updates what they gonna do, BTW they already starts with a real brand names of two trucks, SCS i awesome you find a competition here so get ready, and it seams there is a real trucker in the development team who tell them how a real truck behave.

I have waited for this from Amazon for about two years now I see that you can buy it off Steam I think SCS needs to add more sounds just like what #MakisPapas says but even if I got it I just know that ETS2 win's every time so I'd just go on that more I do like how you can get out of the Scania but I think Aerosoft needs to just keep making add-on's for FSX ( like the DHC 6 they do that looks way better than this }It said on one web site that this is a serious competitor for ETS 2!

Definitely looks good, tho not as good as ETS2. But it does allow you to walk around your truck and the suspension is more realistic (really soft suspension). In ETS2 it's like every truck has racing suspension. Hopefully SCS will include walking around and better physics.
Sadly this appears to be Fernbus Simulator (actually a good game), just slightly modified and repackaged.

The game looks pretty good graphic wise compared to ETS 2, but that trailer moving like it weights 1 ton, it makes the whole thing so unrealistic... The trailer just jumps all over the place like it's made of rubber. Looking forward to giving a purpose to the whole walking outside the truck thing.

Its not a bad game but no its not up to ETS2 or ATS standards yet but someday it might be. The feel in the trucks in OTR is better than ETS you feel the suprension and cab move in alot more realistic way. But thats about all thats better currently. Also i think the fact that the game is limited to only German roads could mean they struggle to gain a huge player base. Far more appealing to most to cross Europe or America.

you would think in this day and age in a game you could have your name and company on the side of a truck not exactly hard to add the text to trailers kinda disappointing not to see daggerwin logistics instead of spedition walter also the no damage sucks lol

The game needs some work, especially on physics. The map is much more detailed than ETS2

I don't feel like they have a chance right now in making a 'Trucking Simulator' and I feel that SCS have a while till they have to worry. Ets2 and Ats are way too far ahead for many games to catch up. The mods that are out for the SCS games are what make it more interesting and a long lasting games, it would be a while till you see some good mods in newer games. Also the amount of DLC and different counties that you can go to on Ets2 is too far ahead to catch up to I personally think. And pro mod's has massive part to play in making Ets and Ats so far ahead in the 'industry'.

A truck simulator should include MANY things..ETS2 is a GOLD MINE waiting to be harvested..This game,could add some things and become a very good game.>ETS2 could add them aswell..For example,it would be EPICKLY cool to use and drive machinery like a CLARK or a CRANE to load the cargo in your truck..The weight should play aditional role in your driving experience.Overweight cargo should result in flat tires or engine failures..Engine failures if you dont service your truck in time should exists in the game..Fatal accidents also should play a role in the game...You cant call a game "SIMULATOR" when you hit a wall with 100 klms and NOTHING happens...But above all,the driving experience should change dramaticaly.The pshysics,the use of brakes(watch to not burn them)etc could be cool things those 2 games should add to become better..At least,i know what i would do if i was the game designer.

that steering is just horrendous
The keyboard driving is horrific in this game and it has not improved at all since the release of the early access. Also it is made with unity and has a lot of performance issues. Yes, it is nice to get out of the truck and fill up the tank personally but this can't make this game better then ETS2 or ATS. I am just wondering why isn't SCS making this simple addition to their game play anyway?

Obviously, this is a "copy" on ETS2, but ..
- There are BOX and TANDEM variants
- It has a combo skin
- it can go out/in from the cabin (and refil the diesel tank too)
- the truck/trailer behavior at the moments looks really realistic o.0
Otherwise, obviously this is alhpa/beta stage (or idk) and still don't believe that anything will change in it at the future. The game has NO potential at all, looks so mediocre.
It's just so far away from SCS 's 2 famous childs!
