@@Shadow-gm9ct Yes and filming every show…i think Adam is compiling everything to make some sort of hyper-collage live concert film. Possibly incorporating some 3d tech…
The Lateralus tour was and still is unprecedented. I will always reference this tour because it was the one that blew me away and convinced me that Tool is a force to be reckoned with. My goodness 3 of the most magical, unforgettable nights of my life 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Great job. I just did the Denver 2002 show.. restored in iZotope Rx by cleaning all pops and clicks, even repaired the electrical glitches, then mastered it in Ozone. I wound up eq matching it to the live version of Third Eye off Salival. I just wish it had the same bass levels as this one. You can hear the cymbals better in that one though. Btw.. just in case you didn't already know... Mike Patton and drummer John Stanier of Tomahawk come out for Triad. They backed them up that tour. Patton's doing the mixer/synthesizer, Stanier's playing rack toms, Justin Chancellor's playing bongos, and Maynard's playing the bass.
Awesome concert. H was incredible. I wish they still did schism like this, that dark intro with whispering, and that slow middle part with the bass. I hope they recorded all their different versions and release them someday.
This is best live performance Ive seen from Tool on UA-cam. And I've seen most of them. As a die hard Tool fan I'm always searching & watching/listening for the good ones. And I keep coming back to this one over n over & again & again. It's pure GOLD!!!
Definitely my favorite. It's absurd how good this sounds for a 2002 audience recording, that bass is godly. And the performance itself is rock solid, probably Maynard's best vocal performance from the 2002 tour at least from what I've heard.
Cool story: I was listening to this while playing Half-Life 2 and Reflection and Triad were playing while I was in Ravenholm. Triad fit so well as a soundtrack that I forgot for a moment that it wasn't part of the game. That, and the ambient and bizarre noises Tool tends to play between songs kind of spooked me. Thought they were zombies; lmao.
+Adelin LaRose (AdLaRO) Nah, I was just givin ya a hard time my man... It was a cool story. I've had that same thing happen many times and I always enjoy it whenever it does.
I still think the audio from the Denver show from 2002 (this one ua-cam.com/video/bdotOofvryM/v-deo.html ) is the best to date, but holy shit it's nice to hear something new. Thanks for uploading.
kick ass show, the floor was split in floor 1 and floor 2, I had floor 2 tickets and so floor 2 was the back part of the auditorium floor and at rhe beginning it was split by a row of event staff. Some.ES lady.tried telling me I couldn't go to the front. Needless to say I asked.how she was going to stop me when rhe lights went out. She looked at and I right back at her. Lights go out and BAM. Got to the front. Great Show, was also at the pepsi center denver show. Thank you to whoever remastered rhese shows. Great Job!
I think it's because the audio feed is from an in-ear monitor, so it doesn't pick up as much audience noise. (It's what the artist hears in their ear so they can sing / play along to what everyone else is doing.)
Maynard in AEnema, Disposition and Reflection left me speechless for a while. Since I watched the video with his voice breaking at the second chorus in Parabola, I've been getting nervous each time listening to this song:-). But here it is perfect.
Man it’s one I hope they bring back some day. Maynard doesn’t sing anything that exerts him too much, leaving several older songs off the table but he’d still be able to perform Reflection beautifully
My kingdom for a video from this tour that’s just a stable shot from the balcony. Everyone’s always zooming in and losing focus. Can’t see the lighting or the stage design. or the atmospheric elements they spent time creating. Bootleggers need to understand we don’t need to see fuzzy closeups anymore. we got it. we need to see what it was like to BE THERE.
The bass intro to sober sounds a little different, I think Justin is playing an extra note in there, could just be me. The more I listen to it the less weird it sounds.
+Panhandle Prep $How much would it take to buy one if your tickets to the Pensacola show?$ Been a TOOL fan since the mid 90's and have never caught a show.My sister has seen them 3 or 4 times, as well as A Perfect Circle twice. I would make it well worth your while cash wise.
Sounds really beautiful! Could you perhaps share a bit about how you did what you said you did) Were the recording in stereo so that you had to make them in monomixes before final panning ? Or were them both stereos and you just combined the two + equalisation? that kind of stuff.
I was at this show and 7 months pregnant. The show was amazing and Maynard is mesmerizing. My son was rocking out to Tool even in the womb 🤘
Coolest baby I've ever heard!
🤘🏼🤘🏼
How old is he now and does he like tool
There is no good reason they haven’t taken audio straight from the board and cut a live album. This was incredible.
They are going to release one for 2002 they announced!

@CarrionMorris is it still in the works? 😂

Christ! what a show! and we can finally hear Maynard's bass part in Triad!
+CrazyGamer 2001 1:36:52 - that is Justin's bass. 1:38:02 - Maynard joins in on 2nd bass for the rest of Triad.
MJK plays bass in schism, triad, disposition, reflection, lataralus, ion's,eon blue apocalypse I think a few more but I cannot think of them right now.
@@Starless_2112 it's not a bass, it's a baritone guitar

Denver 2002 is good
Sober floored me. It's insane how deep it cuts.
46 and two (thousand) subscribers. Perfect. Congrats
Always wanted to hear Maynard's gutural live scream at the end The Grudge, this is insane.
Then the build up to the last “let gooOOOOO…!!!!” *full body goosebumps*
The bass in Parabol gives me chills every time. This is one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen. Maybe the best Tool concert ever
This quality is staggering!
Best vocal performance from Maynard!
28:00 - 29:00 his voice is fucking perfect here. Hell, it's amazing the rest of H.
Maynard sounds amazing, aggressive, and melodic at the same time.
Yeah the sound quality is incredible! Glad I stumbled on this! The grudge kicks some killer ass!!

Agh! Why'd you start your story off with "cool story:...."?!?
Now I can't say "...cool story bro" without it being all weird.
gibbyjack Probably because sarcasm isn't well applied on the internet and I was trying to imply that it actually wasn't cool at all; oops.
+Adelin LaRose (AdLaRO) Yeah their new album is gonna be the soundtrack to Half-Life 3

+Caylor Mills itll be like the soundtrack to half-life 19 by the time it comes out
Ok triad is just crazy! Like WTF kinda crazy.
I remember camping out for tickets to this concert in Rapid city, We partied all night while camping out very very fun and the show was amazing.
Wonderful job remastering this!!! 😃👏 the quality is on point!
This was my first Tool show, and the best.
Last thing I'm listening to before seeing Tool for the 13th time tonight, this is SO great.
I still think the audio from the Denver show from 2002 (this one ua-cam.com/video/bdotOofvryM/v-deo.html ) is the best to date, but holy shit it's nice to hear something new. Thanks for uploading.
I'm seeing them January 28th can't fucking wait, I'm getting excited listening to this
the best ever live band. full stop!!

This is one of the best recordings so far !!!!!!! Thank you and Maynard does the I I I I I DON’T MINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND in H
The subtle differences and additions to the songs throw me off but they're awesome. Excited for the 2016 show.
Love that i'm only a couple hours from where this took place.I feel better about living here now
It's pretty interesting comparing 2002 audience to today's audience. There's hardly any claps and whistles in the lull of songs, it's so different.
I wish the audience was like this nowadays ): the audience ruined Intension when I saw them in 2014
I think it's because the audio feed is from an in-ear monitor, so it doesn't pick up as much audience noise. (It's what the artist hears in their ear so they can sing / play along to what everyone else is doing.)
As someone who was at this concert, I can confirm that the crowd was making all sorts of noise in between songs. It was genuinely annoying!
Maynard in AEnema, Disposition and Reflection left me speechless for a while. Since I watched the video with his voice breaking at the second chorus in Parabola, I've been getting nervous each time listening to this song:-). But here it is perfect.
Reflection is timeless.
Man it’s one I hope they bring back some day. Maynard doesn’t sing anything that exerts him too much, leaving several older songs off the table but he’d still be able to perform Reflection beautifully
Seen this tour 3 times reflection was my favorite live song from this tour
Holy fuck! That scream on The Grudge was incredible, almost better than the studio version
Love how positive all the comments are on majority of your videos. Keep up the awesome quality! Thanks!
His voice is fucking amazing here!
this audio is stupid good.
Saw them in boston on this tour at Amherst. This show gives me goose bumps.
Thanks so much, you have my like
Fuck this is amazing sound quality fantastic job well done

THanks for this man I appreciate this!! One of my favorite concerts!
Dude.... that performance of Ænima.... just ..... wow ........
YES SON!
amazing sound quality! thank you so much...
Dudes, 30:55 to 32:50 what a magnificent, hypnotizing, cosmic and nostalgic introduction to Schism.
I teeth drum, and teeth drumming Tool songs will cause me to loose teeth.

I know them feels
I thought I was the only one
Holy shit there is other people that do this!???

Tool is an experience. Always tool.
I love hearing Justin so clear and crisp mmmm

Michael Westen
Yeah that makes sense, it was sorta bothering me hahah.
It sounds better
he has Justified it.
Great job man!
Fukin amazing
Seeing them in San Antonio !(: sucky seats though. Oh well lucky enough that I even get to go considering the fact they sold out in a few hours.
saw this tour at the Spectrum... good stuff
Oh fuck yeah Maynard...
great work
I was here!
the visual during schism is freaking me the fuck out
I can definitely whistle to this...
Aenima best performance ever?
your my favesies, buy more wine!
Maynard asks " why can't we not be sober"
Starts a winery 🤭
Sober isn't singing about anyone in the band
Sober also means clarity over all situations.
They sold out there Jan 30 show here in Pensacola, FL. in a few hours. It's a sad day for me....anyone have an opiate?
Btw, thanks very much TOOL ARCHIVE
I was lucky enough to get 2 tickets to the Pensacola show! Spiral Out!

Great quality but what happened on triad with Adam?
Is there any way to get the audio file of this from you? Fantastic upload btw! This was my first concert.

LMFAO
dogcatpigduck it’s one song
I bet you earned a lot of respect by random strangers with this tryhard comment...

Triad sounded weird, hardly any guitar??
Chris Adams It's because he only had the IEM recording for that track, which had a lot of bass but Adam was low in that mix. Read the description.
I don't always have time to read the description.
Chris Adams but you have time to ask pointless questions when the answers are right in front of you? Got it.
sheep showing, keep chewing
first
you didn't film that right. I can't see any of the band
I was at this show. It was amazing.
