There was a guy who used to go to the ruby tuesdays near us and he would get everything from the salad bar and then top on an insane amount of cheese... then hed get a full meal. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.

Fun Fact: In India, we eat Jackfruit as a fruit and we also eat unripened Jackfruit as a vegetable. We make curry with unripened Jackfruit. It has a pork-like texture.

Btw, we also make curry with sun-dried Jackfruit seeds.
I think Inka and Merle should try making pork dishes with unripened Jackfruit. For starters, they should try making Jackfruit vindaloo. Like this comment, if you think Inka and Merle should try making vegan pork dishes with unripened Jackfruit.
I believe that we do the same thing in the Philippines. I love eating jackfruit, we call it Langka. I love picking the fruit off the thingy (I don't know what it's called), popping the seed and placenta looking thing out, and eating it. We have dishes with unripened jackfruit but they always kind of look gross to me, the texture, also isn't my favorite.
Yasss I love that jackfruit curry... Also we eat bananas both raw and ripe and make a savoury dish out of banana flower.... In my state it's known as 'mochar ghonto' and it tastes super duper tasty 😋

Avocado has been a used for desserts for us in the Philippines, i was surprised when i found out western countries consider it for savory food

In Jamaica where I'm from we cut out the heart/middle of the breadfruit then slice it thinly into crescent moons then fry it and add salt so we can eat it with anything or do the same process but boil it instead

The breadfruit kinda threw me for a loop. It's used mostly in savory dishes here in Barbados, luckily it isn't a fruit with an intense flavour or scent. Unless you get the 'yellow meat' variety which is sweeter and softer than the white flesh type.
It is used as an alternative flour though, maybe that can be something you can do. Like make one cake or cookie recipe with substitute flours. Breadfruit, cassava, sweet potato, sorgum, etc.
There were literally two fruits (Korean pear and Korean melon) there I didn’t know about (perks of living in the tropics). The Jamaican in me screamed when breadfruit was added. It’s a very starchy fruit that is commonly used as a breakfast alternative to carbs like toast or bread etc. it’s not limited to breakfast but I’ve grown accustomed to it with breakfast. It’s normal roasted or fried and sometimes put in soup. ✨😊

As my chef would say in college. There is two terms for fruits... There's our typical fruit category, and then there is those that are the fruit of a plant. But it doesn't necessarily mean they are fruits fruits. Cause then cucumbers would be in that category as well.
Tldr: botanically speaking, they are fruits. Culinary speaking, they are vegetables.
I had a discussion with my brother about this when I was younger. He said it was a fruit, I said it was a veggie. So I looked it up and found the same u describe. Absolute mindblown, haha 😂 but at least both of us were right though 😄
