It seems that in Japan even the cheapest coffee is made like some high grade coffee in America or Europe. It would be worth much more than 1$ outside of Japan I bet.

There is so much effort and passion put into that $1 coffee, which is around 4 ringgit in malaysia. But here in malaysia, those rubbish coffee shops dare to charge people 20-30 ringgit for crap

Just want to say thank you for sharing this! After hearing about the dollar coffee, I decided to visit the coffee shop when I was abroad in japan in spring 2018. I highly recommend going there if you need to get some studying done, etc. :)
