Your mind is trying to communicate something to you... Take the time to listen. But crying to Sigur Ros is quite common I guess. And a good thing. Cleansing.
Just put the mobile away, and enjoy the moment 🙂. By the way - Sigur Ros is not exactly my cup of tea and I don't understand a single word Jon is singing, yet every now and then I listen to this gig. It is something special, bringing tranquility and good mood.
mmmm that didn't happen XD, is not the phone, it's the human mind which without training doesn't focus, moreover, what you mention is also an idealization, which is a common mind problem as well XD
I really wish all that, I have a terrible depression. to many things happened in my life and in the healing process, I realize that our universe and mother nature give all to us without. No tech, no fancy cars, no fancy houses,..... simple life and connected to nature.
My film school teacher Alan Calzatti worked on Heima. It was more like a nature documentary and he and Dean DeBlois were called in to fix it. I think thewy did a remarkable job with what they were given. I still remember getting to watch them do telecining at Rhino, and getting to see the film before it was released. As a massive Sigur Rós fan this was a huge deal! There was also a screening outside in Hollywood he was a part of. Very good times. Rest In peace Alan

I've recently been going trough a really dark period in my life and listening to Sigur Ros' music felt like being covered with a nice, warm blanket everytime I came back to it, it made me feel understood, it assured me that life is beautiful and things are going to be just fine, it kept me motivated to keep going despite the hard times and helped me feel at ease at my worst moments, I really appreciate this band with all my heart and I will definitely keep coming back to this collection of songs in particular for that mental boost, thank You for uploading it in such a good quality!
First saw this shortly after it came out in 2007 and have been a massive fan ever since. Only the Icelandic Music Elves can make a song about a Haystack so captivating ! Iceland is a truly mad yet magical place - long may it continue.
I was in the crowd for the free concert in Reykjavik, just stumbled upon it by chance...the culmination of an epic day of hiking and touring one of the fjords in search of puffins and waterfalls.
They are the best thing to ever happen in this world. The joy, the sadness the suicidal thoughts, all come along and let you to enjoy the every moment of life. Blessed.
I watched Heima for the first time back in 2011. After watching it I was so determined to go to Iceland one day. 3 years later I fulfilled my promise, with Sigur Ros soundtracking my trip of course :') Thank you for this incredible work!
Been dreaming for Iceland for nearly 25 years listening to this band. Well, i fulfilled my dreams last month. The problem is: i really have to go back 😅
I too went to Iceland (in 2013) because of this film! (and was not disappointed.) And because of that trip we have since explored some other countries in Scandinavia etc, most recently the Faroe Islands. Cheers @adhiantos!
This video is amazing, so this band is. I still remember how I knew them. It was in Sónar Festival (Barcelona) around 2002-3. I just finished of listening my favorite band of the night and in my way to another stage I suddenly listened something strange, a kind of music I have never heard before. I turned my head and saw what it looked like a string quartet, a guy in the piano, a drum, electric guitar, etc... (1:02:40) I was like "whats going on here", the ambient was very noisy, I barely could listen properly the song at that point, but nevertheless some force grab my atention enough to stay there. Next thing I know there was another guy next to me, with amazed face looking at them. We both look each other and I asked him "do you know them?". "No", he said "but they sound cool isn´t?" We started to speak a little bit, and he invited me to some weed. We really felt the need to listen the music properly so we moved closer of stage. Once there, I started to feel that particular kind of magic Sigur Ross can achiev with their music. I stood hipnotized until the end. I said goodbye to my unknown friend, knowing we had a super enjoyable moment together, and while comming back home late at night, I realized I never knew the name of that band. Some days after, I could know who they are. It´s not easy a unknown band wins you over in the middle of a multi band festival, with such a caothgic ambient, but they did because they are magicals.
You will never believe where I discovered Sigur Ross. A hard rock drummer listed Sigur Ros and one of the bands playing on CD in his car. I thought ok I’ll give it a listen and started looking up and listening to each band to see if I liked their music. I fell in love with Sigur Ros music. It’s ethereal and beautiful and sometimes strange but I was hooked. BTW, the hard rock drummer was Tommy Lee of Motley Crue. Tommy is a lot like me in musical terms. Meaning, I listen to a little bit of music in every genre and decade. I listen to every thing from classical and Christian all the way to shock rock. Anyway, I’m glad I discovered Sigur Ros they are truly amazing!!!!!
My go to watch for any mood. Documentary version has been watched at least once a week since I’ve been on UA-cam and now this version gets watched 3 times a week also. Greatest band to ever live and I don’t know even know what they’re saying, I don’t have to ❤
Sigur Rós has been my favorite band since the first time I heard them. I feel asleep to the Ágætis byrjun album for 3 years straight. It was the music of my life, and my dreams. I always tell people that Jonsi's voice is the most beautiful instrument I've ever heard, and that is still true. I feel blessed to live at the same time as this band and to have been able to see them live several times. No other music group of our generation can envoke such powerful moods and emotions, in my opinion. ❤
Agaetis Byrjiun has been a favourite of mine since it first took me by most welcome surprise at its beauty. Just found this video after an absolutely shit day, and now things are so much better. Enough said. Or rather, not: the video slipped into Heysatan as I typed, and now, well, definitely, enough said. Love this music. Edited a second time: Von. Enough NOT said

Just stunning. Can watch this over and over. And seeing them live one gets an incredible feeling of elation from merging with the sound and energy. So special
Thank you so much for the incredible work you've done on this version of Heima. You've given us the chance to fully immerse ourselves in the music of Sigur Rós, and it's been an absolute joy to experience. I just saw it was due for rerelease on Blu-Ray a couple of years ago. Will have to look into upgrading. Probably the best music film of the decade. I also realised it's over 20 years since I saw this band live.... What a drag it is getting old.

Wonderful. The music works with the images as if it carries me through centuries and connects all people. It could also be some Vikings cavorting in the meadows :)
Thank you for this. I saw the original film at the Melkweg in Amsterdam in 2006 or 2007. I subsequently bought the CD, having loved the band since 2002. This version is great because there is more music, more pure landscape. What musicians they are! Such inventiveness, such joy, such sharing. don't believe they have been given the credit or praise they deserve, especially for the first two albums. I consider their work to be a form of classical music, and indeed better than most classical music of the last 100 years or so.
You're welcome, glad you like my version! 😊 Certainly now with Kjartan back in the fold things are very much leaning towards the classical. Just great, but to me the strenght of SR will always be the cross between that and pure post-rock. No one else can touch them there.
That put a smile on my face... The interviews sure are very nice, but not timeless and awesome. Like the music is. Good thing they now can exist in parallel. :-)
I’ve enjoy listening to the arrangements in this production 🥰 In the beginning I had not the slightest interest about this group but I was curious why my younger daughters were so fixated about their music to go out their way to see them live in concerts … well I’m now hook👍 beautiful, my daughters have travel to Iceland as well,so will I ✈️
Thank you for putting this together for us like you did! 😊😢 I fucking love them!, I discovered them over a decade ago in some of my darkest and trying times,.. and well I'm still here so again thanks for putting this together and it hurts my heart that there aren't more likes😢 but you F'ing rock!!!!!
Thank you for saying so. You're very welcome. 🙂 I've had a fair share of dark and trying times myself, so just maybe I get what you mean. I don't worry one bit about likes and subs and such. The only thing that really matters is that people, like youself, see this and get something from it. Makes my day. So thank again for that! 🙂
To me, this is Sigur Ros at their peak. Wonderful music, stunning video. I saw them in Glasgow a few years back after Kjartan had left and was really disappointed. I felt it was an assault on my senses, losing the delicate, beautiful, tuneful melodies of earlier years. This video is a masterpiece. Thank you very much.
You are very welcome! I'm genuinely happy to hear that my version of this hits home with you. And you are right. This is peak era Sigur Ros. 🙂 For a while there they could do no wrong.

Magnifique, merci !
Thanx for all your work. Beautiful version, all music and landscapes.
I’ve enjoy listening to the arrangements in this production 🥰
In the beginning I had not the slightest interest about this group but I was curious why my younger daughters were so fixated about their music to go out their way to see them live in concerts … well I’m now hook👍 beautiful, my daughters have travel to Iceland as well,so will I ✈️
Thank you for putting this together for us like you did!
I bought this DVD a few years ago, and it was so magical then. Having lost it, I'm so grateful to find it again
UA-cam history, right here. What a beautiful experience from so long ago.
Von - Espoir . Quelle claque ce morceau . Les regards, les yeux, la musique, Jonsi sa voix. Juste ❤❤❤
I remember seeing this at the Shetland Film Festival in 2009. It was a free late night showing. Absolutely amazing!
İts been 13 years old.. The sweet state of pain.

If you are Icelandic, preserve your heritage at all costs! Once lost, gone forever.
Pura magia, pura emozione... ti colpisce nel profondo!
