nobody...and i mean nobody was playing guitar like this in 1981, let alone 2023. He was so far beyond the EVH "flash" stuff at the time. Saw Black Sabbath on their first USA tour and it changed my life. From that point on I have been a metal head. I'm 71 and still love seeing metal bands live. Metal is one genre where the fan loyalty is for life. If you watch closely at Ozzy while Randy is doing his solo he is smiling and enjoying watching Randy wing it.
Randy Rhoads is my second favorite guitar player next to Eddie Van Halen. This dude is an incredible guitar player. Watch how effortlessly his guitar solos are. So happy you’re getting opportunity to react to Ozzy Osbourne with Randy Rhoads as his guitar player, prior to his death. And Randy Rhoads used to be in the band Quiet Riot before they got popular. When Ozzy went solo, he was looking for a guitar player and he went to LA to snatch up Randy.
Growing up listening to Black Sabbath and Loving it, when Ozzy came out with his first solo album, Blizzard of Ozz, I immediately snagged it. This song and all the others were played on repeat over and over again. Randy is a Guitar God, and Daisley, Kerslake, and Airey play wonderful together. Great reaction, Aileen! If you want to hear a SHREDDIN' Guitar solo from Randy check out "Over the Mountain" from the Diary of a Madman album. Love that song so much! Thanks, and have a blessed day!
Loved that whole "Dairy of a Mad Man", "Crazy Train", 1983 Ozzy thing. I was a junior in high-school and had my first car. This tape was in the tape deck constantly. Never will forget those days. Thanks, Aileen. for this little reminder of one of my yesterdays. Love you to death. Keep-a-rockin. Will be checking ya out again next time. Big shoutout this old, longhaired, hippy dude in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Peace and love, girlfriend. Later.
Randy Rhoads (guitar) was born in California in 1956... his mom Delores was a music teacher and her son would end up teaching guitar at her school at age 16 because he was that gifted... Randy's life changed when he saw Alice Cooper in concert in 1971 and decided he wanted to be a rock guitarist... He played in small bands in high school and eventually formed Quiet Riot around 1975 w/ his friend Kelli Garni (bass) and Kevin DuBrow (vocals)... Garni was eventually fired after an altercation w/ DuBrow and bassist Rudy Sarzo joined. Quiet Riot found themselves drawing well locally in the West Coast clubs in a scene that included Van Halen... They were briefly signed and released 2 albums in Japan only, but Quiet Riot sold poorly by 1979 ... as Van Halen took off and became huge nationally. Randy Rhoads was struggling to make it in music and still taught guitar to make a living... He was asked to audition for a spot in Ozzy Osbourne's solo band in '79, and he had no idea who Ozzy was, nor familiar w/ Black Sabbath... Ozzy was completely drunk and vaguely remembered this guitar player snapping him out of his stupor and hired Randy Rhoads on the spot... For his part, Randy was just warming up when Ozzy said, "You got the job." Of course, Ozzy sobered up the next day and said he dreamt he had hired a guitar player... He was told he had. Ozzy was shocked... "I hope he's good!" As it turned out, when Randy Rhoads played his guitar, Ozzy was floored... He and Randy got to work right away. Randy would sit w/ Ozzy patiently and play him his ideas... If Ozzy like something, he would go, "Let's work on that." Ozzy would come up w/ vocal melodies as Randy played guitar and that was how the first 2 Ozzy solo records ('Blizzard of Ozz' and 'Diary of a Madman') were written and recorded in 1980... Bob Daisley (bass) wrote the lyrics to Ozzy's vocal ideas and melodies and Lee Kerslake (drums) and Don Airey (keyboards) recorded the albums. Ozzy's played his first solo shows without Black Sabbath in 1980 and were touring the US in 1981... Randy Rhoads was suddenly playing to huge crowds and still spent his days on tour learning from other guitarists on the road... However, Ozzy's life backstage was chaos and constant fighting between him and his manager (later wife) Sharon... Randy considered leaving the band, but Ozzy convinced him to stay, promising to make him a millionaire. There were issues w/ Daisley and Kerslake on tour, so they were replaced by Quiet Riot bassist Rudy Sarzo and Pat Travers Band drummer Tommy Aldridge in 1981. This was the line-up that was filmed in this clip - one of the rare footage of Randy Rhoads performing in Ozzy's band. By the Spring of 1982, Ozzy's career was taking off... the tour was getting bigger and selling out... Ozzy was booked to play Madison Square Garden in NYC that Summer. However, tragedy struck when the tour came to Florida. Randy Rhoads got on a small engine plane on a day off w/ some of the crew... The plane flew too low at one point and hit the tour bus. It spun out of control, crashed into a nearby house and burst into flames... Randy Rhoads was killed in the crash at age 25. Ozzy and Sharon were devastated after the loss of Randy Rhoads... Ozzy said it was over, but Sharon insisted he carry on for Randy. A replacement guitarist was brought in to tour and eventually Night Ranger guitarist Brad Gillis did a bulk of the Ozzy shows that year, including the Madison Square Garden show and did the live album (and concert video) 'Speak of the devil'. A live Ozzy record w/ Randy Rhoads on guitar was shelved... It was released by Ozzy in 1987 as the 'Randy Rhoads Tribute' live album.
This was a hell of an All-Star lineup with Ozzy, Randy, Rudy, Tommy, and Don, all being masters of their craft. It was like the perfect storm happened back in the day.
A great video. It clearly shows Randy's Classical training. The way he plays on the fretboard is purely classical. He keeps his fingers arched high. Rudy, on bass, is a master and he's played for pretty much everybody. Love this song.
YES! Clicked on this immediately- had to see your reaction ASAP - knew you would groove with the amazing Randy Rhodes (RIP). So glad you did this live version! 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼 There’s not nearly enough live footage of RR, but look for “Crazy Train” and “I Don’t Know”
My personal Diary I wrote the next day after the last show of Randy Rhoads in Knoxville Tennessee! RIP RANDY! YOU ARE SORELY MISSED! OZZY OSBOURNE: THURSDAY MARCH 18TH 1982: RANDY RHOADS LAST SHOW AT THE KNOXVILLE CIVIC COLISEUM: DIARY OF A MADMAN TOUR: Upon entering the coliseum after buying my tour shirt and ticket 🎫 stub processing: I noticed the stage was set up like a medieval castle with arches and bats 🦇 flying around the top of them. There was a staircase leading up to Tommy Aldridge’s Drumkit. The top left of Tommy was where Donny Airey’s keyboards were set up. Stage right and left had to cages with which Randy Rhoads would appear from the floor stage right and Rudy Sarzo stage left. OZZY had a throne of which he would appear out of to start the show to Over the Mountain. Tommy had his drum tech dressed as an Executioner stand beside his kit with his arms crossed. The staircase had a small section that would open and a small dwarf named: Ronnie (after Ronnie James Dio the new singer for Black Sabbath-replacing OZZY) and hand OZZY towels and water between songs. Little did we all know that later in the show: the executioner would bring the dwarf out to be hung from the rafters and later he would cut off his head using a guillotine! At the end of the show OZZY climbed onto a giant mechanical hand that OZZY stood on top of and launched unspecified meat 🥩 🍖 into the audience! Of course it was all an a theatrical act as the dwarf appeared to take a bow with OZZY and the band. When OZZY smiled we noticed he put vampire 🧛♀️ teeth in! We laughed hard! I went to the show with my friend Richard and his older brother Greg who was 18 at the time. We were 13. Greatest show on earth! Richard and I were both terrified and thrilled at what we witnessed! Unfortunately the next morning all that excitement and energy was gone as we learned that Randy Rhoads perished in a plane crash in Florida. Richard and I played drums but Greg played guitar 🎸 and he definitely took it the hardest! One of the greatest guitarist of our generation and had just won the new guitarist of the year by Guitar Player magazine. Rest In Peace Randy Rhoads your music lives on! Sincerely, Gary Lagstrom
Being a guitarist myself, Randy Rhoads played like a machine in a very good way. Sometimes before shows he would take guitar lessons from different teachers. He knew he was damn good but didn't have an ego. The funny thing is that he wasn't into Hard Rock or Metal he was classically trained. He might have gotten into it as time went by because you have to get into it to play like that. Ozzy loved Randy and treated him like a younger brother. Too many great guitarists died at a young age and Randy was one of them.
Ozzy loved Randy so much he included Randy's tribute to his mom at the end of the Blizzard of Ozz album "Dee" is a short acoustic piece with no other musicians or ozzy. All Randy. All for his mom Dee. When Ozzy went to shoot the video for "Crazy Train" from the live album "Tribute", he hadn't seen that polka dot flying v since the day Randy died. His mother gave Ozzy Randy's guitar case and when he opened it up it was like he was slapped in the face with smells and images of Randy. A pack of Randy's cigarettes were in with the guitar. He rarely drank and didn't do drugs. Just smoked his cigs and played his guitars. That v is used prominently in the Crazy Train video. Years later and he released that live album as a tribute ,hence the title "Tribute" to Randy. Randy's mom was always grateful to Ozzy saying he had always been good to her son before and after his passing.
Zeppelin's Page was a huge follower of Aleister Crowley. I love the look on Ozzy's face during Randy's solo. Even the Prince of Darkness is blown away. Pure talent right there.
This was my first song song that I ever heard from Ozzy! When I first heard him sing “MR CROWLEEEYYY” for the first time, I was so on board for Ozzy’s voice and been a fan ever since! And now you’re doing a reaction to it?? Can’t wait to get home later to see this in full 😭
I've always been a big Ozzy fan and Randy Roads was my favorite guitarist he was very special I loved his classical style with his solos another live video song you would have to do is I Don't Know Randy's solo in that song gives me goosebumps UA-cam used to have Crazy Train live but it's not on there anymore
This track was the first one I'd heard from Ozzy, and it was a live version. I fell in love with this track, and 40 years later I still get goosebumps when I hear the guitar break. Awesome track. It's also incredible how incoherent Ozzy is when he's off the stage, yet so lucid whilst he's singing. More Ozzy? From his solo career you could choose from "Bark at the moon", "Crazy train", "Diary of a madman", "Ultimate Sin", "Perry Mason". From his Black Sabbath era, "War Pigs", "Paranoid", "Iron man", "Sweet leaf", "The wizard", "Fairies wear boots", "N.I.B.", "Black Sabbath", and "God is dead?".
Aleister Crowley played a major role in the creation of alternate religions like Wicca, the AA, and the Ordo Templi Orientis, and he founded the Order of Thelema, a semi-Satanic cult whose famous edict was "do what thou wilt." He was also known as "The Great Beast" and the "wickedest man in the world. ----- Seems like a pleasant fellow : P
IIRC it was Gerald Gardner and Raymond Buckland who were responsible for the resurgence (not creation) of Wicca. They don't call it "The old religion" for nothing. And IIRC Crowley joined the OTO, milked whatever he could from them, then d****d them over.
Through the Ordo Templi Orientis' American grandmaster Jack Parsons had a very indirect hand in the creation of Jet Propulsion Laboratories and mankind landing on the moon.
Ozzy is one of the most timeless rock and roll singers ever but what made him burst back onto the music scene after Sabbath was because of the guitarist in that video. Randy Rhoads was one of the greatest artists of all time and he was taken from us at the age of 25 years old. The song that I would suggest to do next is Steal away the Night/Revelation Mother Earth phenomenal solos throughout both songs and the outro//intro to Revelation is one point you should definitely concentrate on most
I remember when this came out when I was in high school. My best friend at the time and I would sing it when we saw his dad, "Mr. Conklin"... Drove him nuts. Lol
You cannot deny the greatness of Randy Rhodes. This song is excellent! I would suggest Fairies Wear Boots, one of my all time favorite Ozzy/Sabbath songs. So good!
Epic guitarist, epic band , epic time .I was born in 89 I feel like my soul fits the 70s and 80s though , legend status , glad your discovering so many great sounds , it's like finding different pieces of your soul as you travel along life's winding road .
RANDY RHOADS!!!! Sorry, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Ozzy is amazing, but I picked up the guitar because of Randy Rhoads. Playing it has got me through some very dark times. I owe more than I have words to express to Randy’s guitar. Thank you so much Aileen for featuring the bat eater and his mad man guitarist.
...you should do a search on Alistaire Crowley", about whom this song was written....I love the direction you are going Aileen with your selections, love you, great channel
Randy Rhoads is my favorite guitar player….the reason why I play. A shame he passed away so young. Would have loved to hear him progress through the course of his life.
I love randy rhoads playing. With him having a classical background, complimented Ozzy soooo much. With Ozzy being so theatrical. Zach wilde played right into Ozzy's mental demeanor.
Great song off a great album. Love this jam. Great guitar work and guitar solo. . GUITAR GOD. RANDY RHOADS. . . HORNS UP 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻
Ozzy is God! Randy (R.I.P) Another example of music we'll never hear the same way. The solo hits me hard every time. Ozzys trial and tribulations and legacy are the reasons I still go forward to this day. His music and inspiration are beyond words! I have two tattoos portraying Ozzy! The cover of the tribute album and just Ozzy alone. Though he is unaware, he's been a life support for me. A title I can give to no one else.
Rip Randy Rhodes 🎸 RIP 🤘🤘🤘🤘i got to see Randy play 12-31-81 LA sports arena LA CA i was 14 years old and man he was just beyond awesome 💯💯 RIP brother 💯🎸 randy would pass away four days after my birthday 3-15-82 i just turned 15& randy was 25 i was so bummed & beyond sad! Ill never be the same! Rip brother 🎸
RIP Randy Rhodes, a classically trained musician who died way too young. Regardless of his tragic death truly a guitar genius. What more can you say about Ozzy… he’s friggin Ozzy, enough said.
Randy Rhoads is a musical genius. Ozzy's vocals are on point as always. Even though he got the lyrics mixed up at the beginning. Excellent musicianship throughout! Glad you like this one gorgeous! Dive into Diary of a madman album! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋💋🦊🦊🦊🦊🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
When I started learning how to play metal when I was a teenager, Randy was the first major influence I found. My style of playing has changed since but I still mimic a lot of his style and consider him one of my biggest inspirations
It doesn’t matter what type of type of music you react to Aileen. Country, rock, heavy metal, pop (lol)grunge, Britney Spears!! It’s the reaction you give that’s beautiful to watch. I love that you love rock, hard rock, metal, ballads. You LOVE music. In all forms. Your smile is infectious and could light up the free world!! Your the most beautiful reaction person to ever do reactions. But that’s not why we gravitate towards you. It’s the way you move, and smile, and just love, and appreciate what you are listening to. Every song you have done , I’ve seen about 50-60 times on other channels. But I’ve come back and re-watched songs you’ve done 3-4 times. Because of your “ reaction”. So I’m sending you all the love and light I have to offer! ❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️☀️
I saw Ozzy on the Diary of a Madman tour a short time before Randy died. I have seen a lot of guitarists and Randy was one of the very best. He was so much better live and i loved his work on the records. But he really did step it up live. Tragic loss. SO much more he could have done. RIP Randy.
Randy Rhodes was only 26 or 27 when he died tragically. I believe that he began taking lessons at age 9, and was a prodigious student. (Out-of-this-world!!!!) So, he really had not been doing this a long, long time. He was just damn good. Some are like that. Others blossom much later. He truly was a Franz Litzt on the electric guitar. Glad you enjoyed his solo.
@Aileen Fund Fact! This concert was recorded in 1981 in my hometown of Rochester, NY! PLUS my favorite band of ALL time opened for Ozzy on this show, Def Leppard!
Randy had such a beautiful spirit and was such an amazing guitar player. how he died was so tragic and the whole story and how it affected Ozzy is a profound and heart wrenching almost hard to believe chapter in rock/metal history.
0:41 Nothing slices through a mix like those vintage analog synthesizers!! No loops, no digital files they are playing back, just pure wizardry manipulating those voltages and oscillators... They are ALIVE creating the sound you hear and there is nothing today like the real thing. The mighty Yamaha CS-80 for the epic strings and the Minimoog for the ascending bassline. One of the greatest iconic rock intros of all-time, makes me imagine the Fellowship of the Ring trudging up the mountains during a deadly blizzard.... ☼LEGENDARY☼
Randy was phenomenal. His classical style was a perfect match with Ozzy's dark metal themes. He was extremely accurate with how he played. Every note was right on. My favorite guitarist by far.
Being 13 and hearing randy rhoads for the first time then him becoming my favorite guitarist instantly and feeling the rush of discovering where his career and creations went just to figure out it all ends after 2 albums was such a gut punch to accept😢😢😢 27 now and still am in awe of his playing
I have been watching your reactions for quite a while, and I absolutely love how real and genuine you are. Tu reacción para las canciones de Juan Gabriel, made me tear up, because I know the feeling you are describing. I'm Mexican as well and grew up listening to his music in my household. I don't really post messages anywhere since I'm more of a watcher. This time I really had to comment on here because I would love for you to listen and react to my all time favorite band; The Warning. Son tres hermanas Mexicanas de Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, who are insanely talented rock stars. They are quite young, 18, 21, 23 years old, but have been a band playing for over 10 years. Miralas, te prometo que no te vas a arrepentir. They recently were on the MTV VMA's. I would start with those two songs and see how you like them. Thank you once again for your genuine reactions, can't wait for more. Saludos desde Michoacán México!
Ozzy’s lead guitarist, in the video, Randy Rhodes died young and I’ve often wondered just how great of a guitarist he would have become had he lived. Also, Ozzy had already left Black Sabbath when he released “Crazy Train” and “Mr. Crowley”. Thanks for the video reactions. 🙏🙏
Diary of a Madman is Randy Rhoades best overall guitar playing combined with lyrics of reflection on insanity. Randy really showed his skill in complex classical guitar playing. It's known as one on Ozzy's best songs and Randy's best compositions rolled into one.
I love your reactions. They are very authentic and organic. Very cool! I suggest one by Sabbath, 'Sympton of the universe' you'll love it! And as I'm Brazilian, I also suggest Sepultura, 'Dead embryonic cells' in this one you'll go crazy! Lol...
As you continue to learn bass, music theory, and truly develop your ear: you will then understand the true genius that is Randy. Randy will always be one of the greatest!
I grew up on Ozzy Osborne and Black Sabbath 🖤🤘. For his solo stuff, As a kid I really liked Perry Mason and No More Tears. I saw him in concert with Rob Zombie and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.
I was lucky enough to take 1 guitar lesson in his mom's north Hollywood school in 10th grade... then he went off to ozzy to play and write...then continued my 5 more lessons from Robert Sarno the bass players brother and hurricane guitarist....randy was a great guitarist him and Eddie Van Halen are my 2 goats....stay pretty luv and rock on forever....
I lived through this era, both the release of the album and the death of Randy. It made him immediately immortal. And saddens us all as to what potential was lost.
Randy Rhoads was a guitar God. What a loss when he died. He was on a whole different level than anyone at that time. He was a music teacher. Did you know that? His mom was also. He taught guitar of course. He was in Quiet Riot before he joined Ozzy. They were set to blow up when he left. RIP Randy!
Love Ozzy at the end: -Is it over boys? Ok now its ove...no?!?? ok... and now its ... oh Randy some more .... Now for sure ... (drum solo finisher)... ahhh crap, you guys got this, ill just bang my head.
OK..it has to be said, even if you've heard it 300 times. You are blast to watch because of your passion and emotion. AND you are absolutely beautiful as well.
There's a reason why Randy Rhoads is so respected even more than 40 years after his passing. He was only 25 when he died. Nobody can imagine how his career would have evolved had he lived on because he was so ahead of his time.
Also, a wizard’s voice is never flat. He sings precisely where means to.
Very nice Pratchett reference!
Whatcha tolkien about, Willis?
Ozzy is a monster selecting his musicians.
Randy was gonna leave Ozzy to play classical music
From what I understand he was about to go get a masters in classical music too. I mean he was already number at blending classical and metal. Man so fucking sad.
Randy Rhoads is one of the greatest Metal guitarists of all time. RIP Randy.
I love him so much 🖤
Randy wasn't really a rock guitarist. He was a classical guitarist that played in a rock band.
Randy is the GOAT IMO
🤘🏼🤘🏼
If you compare him to guitarists nowadays he seems pretty sloppy. But he is well respected.
Classic Ozzy.....Randy Rhoads still walks on water to me as one of the greatest guitarists ever and way ahead of his time. 🎸💕

Definitely in his own category…the way he orchestrated whole songs is unmatched.
Nicely put. I've never heard anyone get close to Randy, and i don't think i ever will.
Good but not in my top 50
The drummer was beating his drums like they owed him money. Classic Aileen!!! 😂😂😂
Tommy Aldridge. Still doing it that way, now with Whitesnake
Preach brother, preach!
There are recent drum clinic videos of him (search for "tommy aldridge drumeo") - the man is 73 years old and he hits the drums harder than anyone I can remember seeing. He is fit as hell.

One thing I love about Ozzy's vocals is that he might not be the best vocalist in the world, but he has such a unique, one of a kind voice.
Unique and authentic
Thats so true! He has a nasal quality that identifies him over all others. He has a very distinctive sound!🤘
dude was fuuuuucked up singing here. for sure.
die hard ozzy fan. Since 1980 when I was 13.
The awesome part is....he's still killing it!
Randy Rhoads is my second favorite guitar player next to Eddie Van Halen. This dude is an incredible guitar player. Watch how effortlessly his guitar solos are.

OZZY OSBOURNE: THURSDAY MARCH 18TH 1982: RANDY RHOADS LAST SHOW AT THE KNOXVILLE CIVIC COLISEUM: DIARY OF A MADMAN TOUR:
Upon entering the coliseum after buying my tour shirt and ticket 🎫 stub processing: I noticed the stage was set up like a medieval castle with arches and bats 🦇 flying around the top of them.
Sincerely,
Gary Lagstrom
Aileen
Late great Randy Rhoads, time of the accident, was studying Classical Guitars. You can use it during Randy's solos.
Being a guitarist myself, Randy Rhoads played like a machine in a very good way. Sometimes before shows
he would take guitar lessons from different teachers. He knew he was damn good but didn't have an ego.
The funny thing is that he wasn't into Hard Rock or Metal he was classically trained. He might have gotten into
it as time went by because you have to get into it to play like that. Ozzy loved Randy and treated him like a
younger brother.
RIP Randy, you can hear the torch being passed to Dime Bag in his pantera solos, RIP to both legends
So true and EVH pissed me off saying Randy Rhoads stole from him.
RIP RANDY RHOADS!!
I love how Randy and Tommie blew Ozzy's mind at the end. Good ol, Rudy steady as always.
That bass in the back is Mr Rudy Sarzo of Quiet Riot fame, although Bob Daisley performed bass on the actual album.
Absolutely fantastic song to react to, Ozzy’s voice and Randy’s guitar, epic combination! Randy is a legend. RIP Randy 🤘🤘
Ozzy gave him the gig based on a warmup riff/exercise. He heard him warming up for the actual audition. lol That's how amazing Randy was.
You can’t kill rock and roll, off a diary of a mad man. Greatest Ozzy song of the 80s. I don’t wanna change the world, no more tears, in the 90s
So good!
Great reaction!
Randy's solos will take you on an emotional journey!
Epic guitarist, epic band , epic time .I was born in 89 I feel like my soul fits the 70s and 80s though , legend status , glad your discovering so many great sounds , it's like finding different pieces of your soul as you travel along life's winding road .
Love Ozzy's reaction toward the end of the song.He looks like he is amazed at how great the band is. Great reaction as always. Be safe everyone
Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen played clubs within a couple blocks of each other for months in LA.
No one can replicate Ozzie's voice!! and to find Randy for his first solo album with this great band just incredible!!!👍
Ozzy is God! Randy (R.I.P)
Another example of music we'll never hear the same way.
Quite possibly Randy's best work and standout work from Ozzy as well. Great reaction!
Randy Rhoads is the GOAT! His fingers slide over the strings like rushing water down a valley!!!
RIP Randy.
We lost Randy on 19 March 1982, which i only remember because i was only 3 days old that day. R.I.P.
Love Youuuuuu Aileen ❤
One of my favorite Ozzy's songs ..... so dramatic 🖤
Randy Rhodes was only 26 or 27 when he died tragically. I believe that he began taking lessons at age 9, and was a prodigious student. (Out-of-this-world!!!!)
So, he really had not been doing this a long, long time. He was just damn good. Some are like that. Others blossom much later. He truly was a Franz Litzt on the electric guitar. Glad you enjoyed his solo.
he was 25
@@mikenyc1325 Thank you.
The first guitar solo is awesome!
Randy Rhoads is a legend
yep THAT solo, been listening to it for what, 40+ years now.? still impresses me. RIP Randy Rhoads
Siempre que escucho esta canción, no puedo evitar emocionarme con el solo de guitarra del gran Randy
Recorded live in Rochester, NY for some hole in the wall cable show back in the day. One of the best live performances ever. Randy Rhoads was on fire!
Sweet
Great reaction as always! If you haven't looked into Mr Crowley (Aleistar Crowley) its an interesting rabbit hole to go down. "Do what thou wilt"
Randy Rhoads and his iconic black and white polka dot flying V guitar! Randy is a Guitar Legend (RIP) Great reaction! Luv ya Aileen ❤️💛
That Flying V is probably one of the most iconic and recognizable guitars in rock

Nothing slices through a mix like those vintage analog synthesizers!!
☼LEGENDARY☼
The second greatest thing about that performance was Rudy Sarzo's ruby red onesie.
Dark, mesmerizing, and glorious. We dont have this kind of music anymore and never will again.
Killer ass song!
Your reactions are YOUR solo spotlights to shine.
It was Don Airey on keyboards on the Blizzard Of Ozz album. But live it was Lindsay Bridgwater on The Blizzard Of Ozz Tour 1980-1981🎉
Diary of a Madman is Randy Rhoades best overall guitar playing combined with lyrics of reflection on insanity. Randy really showed his skill in complex classical guitar playing. It's known as one on Ozzy's best songs and Randy's best compositions rolled into one.
One of the best metal solos of all time!! Electric Funeral by Sabbath is great
Ozzy goofed up, but then Rhandy and Co. decided to fuk with his head, so fun to watch his "WTF?"""
Yes!!! One of my recommendations in the comments a while ago!! Nice 😊
I love your reactions. They are very authentic and organic. Very cool! I suggest one by Sabbath, 'Sympton of the universe' you'll love it! And as I'm Brazilian, I also suggest Sepultura, 'Dead embryonic cells' in this one you'll go crazy! Lol...
Seen Ozzy live 4 times Once in Germany and the other 3 times here in the States always was rocking!!!
I think you would really enjoy his duet with Lita Ford "Close your eyes forever" The song is AMAZING and the official video is complete eye candy!
The whole band is insane really...
His classical training really chsnged music mixing it all.
This journey will never end Ozzy has a huge back catalogue of music every track is awesome 👌
Randy was the reason I picked up a guitar..if you loved Mr Crowley then you’ll love “ Diary of a Mad Man “ a true masterpiece..MAY HE RIP..🙏😞
I lived through this era, both the release of the album and the death of Randy. It made him immediately immortal. And saddens us all as to what potential was lost.
I concur - one of the best voices I have heard in my whole lifetime!
RIP Randy!
I love Ozzy at the end just admiring the talent around him.
Love Ozzy at the end: -Is it over boys? Ok now its ove...no?!?? ok... and now its ... oh Randy some more .... Now for sure ... (drum solo finisher)... ahhh crap, you guys got this, ill just bang my head.
SIC EM, RANDY!!!😎🎸🎸🎸🎸.
OK..it has to be said, even if you've heard it 300 times. You are blast to watch because of your passion and emotion. AND you are absolutely beautiful as well.
Oh my LordvThis Is Real ....RAND RHODES An Amazing American Guitarist I Praise Him
The most Satanic Solo Ever Brilliant ❤❤❤
Randy Rhodes legendary guitar licks
That solo, is why Randy Rhoads stands with the best of them, Slash, Gilmour, Knopfler, Van Halen... any of them. Randy was a prodigy.
I wish that Ozzy is doing incredible plz don’t take him from us Metal won’t be the same without his presence
