I think they want to tell us, that the real horror in the song is the German-Schlager and not the Zombie Apocalypse
This just must be a big F U to the eurosong festival. Funniest is that if they did the schlager part a bit more serious for a full song, i bet it would do great in that scene.

Hurrikan by EC is taking a jab at the Eurovision Music Competition because they got denied entry into the Music Competition within the last year. The German Schlager puts you into a lull and then you just get smacked in the face by Deathcore Metal. I love that the German Schlager just got destroyed by the Deathcore Metal in this song. I could listen to this song all day and ai wouldn't get tired of it.
Electric Callboy uses confusion.

You actually don't need to understand the German lyrics. The only thing important to know is: "Schlager" is German folk-pop but in it dumbest way. Songs they perform at beer parties, like at Mallorca (where the video was created) or at the Oktoberfest, for example. "cheesy" or "sentimental" wouldn't describe this "genre" well enough. Mia Julia is a sexual movie clip star with a side-job as a Schlager singer. I needed some lines to describe Schlager, but the band's acting and music in this video actually present Schlager in a perfect parody. Everybody smiling, dumb lyrics, bad make-up, half-naked chic, posing playback band, and so on ;)

Yep. In Poland we have a whole "genre" caled Disco Polo - it is something very alike German Schlager.
Schlager is the german answer to country-pop.
I love playing this at a stop light cause people looks t me while I'm discoing then headbanging moshlitting in my truck it's 2 very different types of music blended so well I love this song not to mention the ending is brutal

German Schlager is,without any question, a love it or hated situation. There's almost nothing in between.

I'm pretty sure this video was just to make people laugh because its so bizarre, and I'm sure these guys dream of being able to watch the German Pop Singers from their childhood get eaten by zombies the same way we would about the....Backstreet Boys or something lmao. They trolled us, I laughed. It made me love them more.
Schlager is not really Pop. It is (from my understanding as a german) something that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. It can best be described as a mixture of cringe-plastic-pop and country. But ... that's not really the case either. xD
They're trolling a german Schlager-Sänger named Michael Wendler and something more, and it seems to be an answer cause they weren't allowed to try to get the german ticket to the European Song Contest...
