      True. I like the old UA-cam when the natural hair movement first started. Even though I got hip to it towards the middle, like 2013-2015. But watching old videos from back in the day, you did feel very informed without all the extra. And it was before the mixed haired people started lowkey taking over, no offense.

    I tried your method on box braids for my teen daughter and girrrrl it worked!!!! I could never grasp the hair properly and the braids would just slip out. The braids are shoulder length and put perm rods on the ends for a little flare. I spent 21.95 for a bomb hairstyle that will last a month or more. Me and my wallet love you 😍

      I found mousse to help relax the ends that stick out. Apply lots of mousse then tie it down until dry.

  • @Lopermau
    @Lopermau 5 років тому +1

    Here's my experience using this method.
    Pros: 1. Low tension on areas that are prone to traction alopecia. Lower tension than the traditional method of braiding the roots and twisting the rest. 2. Incredibly secure. There's no conceivable way that these twists could slide out or loosen. I had mine in for three months.
    The cons though? The installation took me a ridiculously long time. I worked hours a day for multiple days. My twists only went to my upper back, so length isn't the reason. I'm not saying this will be the case for everyone - maybe I was just incredibly slow, maybe my hair is really thick - but I also think it's just the nature of the technique, with needing to braid a million little braids before adding the hair. Taking this style down also took me a very long time, at least 5 hours!
    This technique is still worthwhile, especially if you have sensitive or weak follicles and require low tension. I just wanted to put out a warning about the time commitment.

    • @NaturallyEngineered
      @NaturallyEngineered  5 років тому +1

      Lauren Samuels Thank you for your feedback. I agree that installation time is longer than the traditional method. I personally would rather take the necessary precautions to ensure my hair is not damaged and tension is minimal. To get 3 months of wear makes it worthwhile.
