No. I did spray diluted apple cider vinegar on the hair the day before i braided it into my hair so that could have contributed to why it is not itchy.

You can also do this as a crochet style.....you can pre twist the hair and install, or twist after it's installed.

Awesome video! And beautiful hair! Been having a hard time finding videos on this, so this was perfect... how long did you keep them in, and how did you wash/cleanse your scalp while they were in?
I kept them in for three weeks. I did not wash them. I just misted my hair with a leave in from time to time. I plan on doing them again at some point and keeping them longer and testing out washing with them in
So I went to my African braiding shop and they could not install these individually. Talk about embarrassing and disappointing. They blamed the hair but I think they used too much gel at the base when they start braiding at the root. Can you share your technique when you started the install?

Hi. I am here to help let me know exactly what you need to know. But I just braided it in like a box braid in the beginning, i did not use gel or anything and then i twisted down, i showed that in the beginning of the video, I am going to reinstall in a few weeks and make a video again. Crocheting should be good, Lots of people suggested i do it that way. I hope it comes out cute!

Lisa Pierce she said in the video that each half of a separate strand was a twist. So 1 full, unraveled strand straight out the pack could make 2 twists.

No i didn't do anything to it, buts its not a bad idea if you have issues with itching with synthetic hair. But i didn't have any issues with itching. Thank you! I hope you love it! I cant wait to try this style again!

Can the knotless/invisible root method be done with this style?
I didn't test this style out with that method, but I'm sure it could work if you have a good grip

This hair does NOT do well with the invisible root method. It’s so curly and soft that it curls up on itself and will slip right out. I actually have this in my hair now in a short bob with bangs and I did the braids at the roots but I didn’t braid it down long enough and they started slipping the second day. My hair is long enough that they aren’t falling out but they look ready to come out after only 2 weeks. Trust me, do the braided roots. Because of the curl pattern, the braids at the roots curl and you can hardly tell that they’re braided at all.

Some people have problems with slipping I didn’t. But I’d just wash it with a diluted shampoo and try to focus mainly on the scalp

I tried these last night and kept having the issue of the hair "clumping" together instead of being fluffy and the curls separated, which caused my twists to be thin and twisted every which way and not fluffy and springy. Did you have that problem at all? Do you think stretching the strand would make a difference?
Keyera, she did say that she stretched the hair out when she looked for the natural parting of the hair. But I saw another video where they were trying to demonstrate the best way to twist spring/bomb twist. Here it is. Look this one up. Hopefully it will help. #83. I did stretch out every twist and did not have that problem, so maybe that helped. But yes beautycanbraid is a great resource for help because she does braid professionally.

It may also have to do with the direction you twist in. I had to learn it the hard way lol. But if you twist right over left, you won’t get the springy look. Left over right is the only way it works. The way I remembered it while I was installing, if it felt comfortable for me to twist, I was doing it wrong because I naturally twist right over left.

No I did not to a ACV rinse. I can't remember exactly it was pretty standard shipping though.
Can this be done on really short hair?
It depends on who does it or your ability to grip but yes if you can grip well enough and have enough hair so that it wouldn't slip out

This hair is very thin. I cant split the hair its to thin, and its long. It comes past the middle of my back. This is not the hair for that style.
Aw yes maybe they did I didn’t experience that.
In my country the only option is relaxing your hair or a weave. There are not products like twists or any other kind of braids or the like. If there are any, they are really expensive.

I'm sorry to hear that! That's definitely a problem. It's systematic. But I'm glad you still wear you hair natural! Sometimes she's Butter and water and gentle care is all it takes! And hey you can always rock your own hair in twist! When I remove these I will make a video sharing how I rock twist without extensions!
