I’m finding with Andertons these days that the stock is either on an ever delaying pre order/delivery or gone before the video finishes (assuming you caught the video as soon as it appears).
If it's of any interest to anyone, Guitarist Magazine reviewed the G-System in September 2005. It was £1195 back then, and they gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
Ahh, the G System. This the centerpiece of my main touring rig for years. It's definitely showing it's age today in lack of features, but it was bulletproof on the road.
I'm already enjoying the G-System so much, it just arrived today! THIS THING IS BUILT LIKE A ROCK. Some people might think its old and outdated, but I would take sturdy and functional buttons any day over a screen display. Not only that but the built in presets are actually really good, I understand what Lee said about not being able to overwrite the presets, but sure its easy enough to just copy the same effects over to the User bank with a few changes. Some other boards might also have built in pedals and distortion, I like that this doesn't because you have more control then over what pedals you use or if you want to use your Amps built in distortion (I use the Brown distortion on my Boss Katana and its lovely) I think I might search around for some good distortion pedals though for more options. Very happy.
I have had mine for 12 years now, and it's still going strong. No intentions of retiring it. I am pretty sure I've only just begun to tap into its full potential. I would have bought a spare, but was late to this deal of a lifetime. Great to see such enthusiasm for it by Lee and Pete. Perhaps it will indeed spark a new iteration of this ingenius device.
I just scored one of these today for AU$50. The owner couldn't figure out the "green screen of death" (i think he bought it off someone else). So I installed the latest firmware and just like that, it's working. Best score ever!
OMG, I came across this less than an hour after they sold out. 300 quid is not just an epic deal for the G-System, it defies imagination. They really must have either found a pallet full of them, or these were the units they were reserving for service customers. It’s hilarious how people think that a 15 year old digital effects unit isn’t every bit as good as anything available today. hat makes a good reverb, delay, or chorus was as well-known then as it is today, and the G-System was the best on the market. The fact that the G-System didn’t have od/ds built-in was one of its best features, and if I wanted amp/cab simulation, there are any number of units I could buy now to add those features, beginning with the DSM/Humboldt Simplifier that is already on my pedalboard.
I use to want one of these but the price was crazy!! but several years later, I grabbed one for 300 in good condition with no box, instructions etc. I love the fact it has none of that amp sim rubbish :) you add your own overdrive pedal etc. Plug it into a decent amp! it’s a winner
Well, I am one of those 100 who bought one and now are back to see what I've bought. As a very novice player I really don't know what I've bought, but this demo so turned me on I thought I have to have one. I can probably recover the cost if it doesn't suit me. I do love Andertons as a really great store. And your clips are both entertaining and informative. Well done. Ta, Simon T
I use the tc-electronic NOVA system, which from my understanding has the same sound engine. It is the only multi FX units I've ever liked. I'm sticking with it.
I still love my Nova. I use an overdrive pedal and a wah in the front of the amp and the TC in the loop for the reverb, delay and modulation stuff. It’s easy to use, built like a tank and sounds amazing. Sometimes the older stuff is still worthwhile.
I'm both gutted and relieved that I missed this deal - I've fancied one of these (or something along these lines) for a while and I was sorely tempted by this offer. But, even with this price-drop it's far more money than I can justify spending on guitar gear just now. By them selling out, I've been saved from myself
It's one killer piece of kit Jeppe. Thanks for supporting us and make sure to drop a photo when it arrives to #andertonsmademedoit we'll keep an eye out!
The best on the market.... great that I added it to my who studio rig.... I have you guys to thank for it. I.purchased one for $265. On July 23 2022 in Ny.... thanks guys.... love this addition. As I have many pedals
Got mine in 2007 with a JVM410H. What won me over was the ability to include up to 4 external pedals and it was built like a tank. Used that rig with great succes until 2018, when I sold the G-System and got the Helix.
i could have one of these months ago locally in Oz for less than that, it was still there last time i looked. My theory, its just a big board that takes up a lot of space, that you then need even more floor space for to connect your other more useful medals to...
As somebody who worked in a Danish guitar store while this was the big daddy. All things considered regarding it's age, it boggles my mind seeing it at this price.
I just find now this old post: I'm rebuilding my pedalboard during the last weeks after a long time without playing and...I'm having lot of fun with my G-system! With my new Tonex Pedal it's really awesome! I was just thinking some days ago that would be really wonderful if I could use this controller for a future G-system 2: would be great if people can choose buy the new v2 complete System or buy only a new brain. I mean, not only for saving money but also to make less electronic waste. Are we in the right era??? Thanks very much for this beautiful and still high end System!
I had one of these a couple of years ago and they sound amazing. In fact, they have the best delays and reverbs I've heard from any multi FX unit, and I've owned Axe FX II and many of the Boss GT's series too. You can also use it with the TC Novadrive, which is a combined distortion/overdrive pedal. The G System controls the Novadrive, and can access it's presets for different patches. I just missed out on the deal, but would love to get another one as they sound incredible. Especially if you have a stereo rig!
Pete was riding those presets effortlessly like Frankie Dettori in his Prime!! Such a skill 😍 Can’t believe the price of this, can remember this being the Top Dog 🐩
Gosh darn it if this pedal can't do everything. It's old, but so is your grandmother. She's still got some miles, bless her heart, and so does this pedal. She can peel potatoes and so can this pedal! If this pedal didn't basically do what the footswitch for my Vox AD120VTX that I finally found can do, I would 100% be all over this. I know this clearly can do more, but you already sold out! What I wouldn't give for three loops in one pedal alone...
I recently packed away a load of decent quality analog effects into their boxes and chucked them into the loft as my NOS iB Modified Gsystem is taking pride of place with my JP2C
I'd love one of these, you have to remember Steve Vai was using one not so long back and I almost bought one back then, if it had been this price I would have for sure. I'd snap one up in a heart beat if not for 2020 and this year so far leaving funds on the floor.
Pete has been using one of these for years too. Great piece of kit used by great players! Make sure to keep an eye on the site if you're thinking of getting one, we believe these will go quick ;)
If I wasn’t already saving up for an AxeFX, I’d have jumped on this. Most of the obvious advances in digital guitar processing since this came out have been in amp/speaker modeling, not regular FX like what’s in these.
Was getting ready to sell my G-System, thought I'd give it a go again, and damn I still dig it! Used it with my Roland Cube on the JC-120 clean, and with my Fender Vaporizer, with the Nova Drive in a loop and EHX BMPwTW in another loop, sounded amazing! I'm not selling it, now I'm looking for a new 2+ channel combo with an effects loop for 4CM for use with my old G-System.
I had a nova system, it was ok. I had the Plethora x5, sold it again within a week. I picked up a used Mooer GE 300 for € 360. That with my Strymon Dig is my best setup to date.
I used one of these on series 1 - 3 of the Voice UK, when it was on BBC. It was absolutely brilliant , this video tempts me if it wasn’t the size of a spaceship when combined with external pedals . Amazing deal tho, I’m sure they sold in seconds !
These things are really awesome, but I really enjoy buying 300+ dollar "boutique" pedals even if I *really* don't understand what "transparent ambient organic tone" means.
It's a great system but serious learning required to get the most out of it., that said I went from this to a helix floor and I still miss some of the effects ,they're that good . That price is crazy ,think I'm buying one just to have as a back up . Thank God you ship to Canada
Second hand one for sale near me I can get for DKK1,800. I almost went for it because of the loops/option to turn individual effects on or off but found the TC plethora can do so many more things like changing the order of your effects, tone print etc so for me I'm just going to go new for once.
Sounds dated, but in a great way! Never could afford it. I almost bought a Nova System, but last minute I've bought a Line 6 M13. The greatest demos of it back then were Pete Thorn's...
lol I just bought one before you sold out, was looking to get a pedal board already. I have a Boss RC-30 looper and by the time I had got all the other pedal effects it would be nearly £800 - £1000... But instead can just buy this for £299

People calling it old - well, in music so long as it holds up and sounds good that is all that matters. I mean, Boss HM2 was released in 1983 and has had a resurgence - the second hand value is huge. So much so Boss has made/is doing a reissue - the Boss HM2 Waza Craft! Old is not inherently bad (I keep telling myself that at least ..... lol)
Hey FYI I got the black version shipped last week from Andertons to CAD when I saw the deal. Its a great deal took about 3 days to get delivered to Toronto. You'll end up paying $80 in customs. Its also NOS, my box had a mid 2011 manufacture date but was brand new sealed in box.
@@majorsequipmentmanager3616 wow...thanks for the update.... Im in mississauga.... haaa .. I was watching it from work... lol at 10 am in the morning.... I tried getting the ib version but it was sold out..... Christmas came early

I'm seeing these come up used and It's really a perfect in theory setup. For me anyway. TCE always have made top quality stuff. I actually wish they would release a new version of this system. The Plethora is damn good but isn't this. I like the all in one controller amp controller MIDI and even drive pedal power, I mean if someone where to start with a clean slate, I think this would be what would be built with todays technology. No drives , no amp modelers , no IR's I love it. For us who love our amps and want effects , control and Path building, I can't see a better way to do it than this. I gotta pick one up and compare it to my pedalboard with a Switcher. The form factor is much smaller than what I'm doing now so I'm so in.
@@LivinginLosAngeles-re5yx I picked one up and directly compared It to my current pedal board which include a Plethora X5. I also have single pedals , a pedal switcher and use the 4CM. The G-system is a bit hard to first learn how to program it but once you learn it, it's pretty easy and fast. I love the HUGE buttons and there is nothing physically about it I don't like. I really like I can rack mount the brain and run a long Cat 6 cable to the Pedal controller. Even my Volume pedal works plugged into the controller well. BUT honestly when you directly compare, the overall sound quality is just a step behind . Totally still a great tool for todays musical no arguments but for us tone chasers, I'll sadly stick with my current pedalboard. I have my rig plug and play so I can pull out the G system and wire it up in minutes. I use a Patch Panel on my pedal board all labeled cables so it's super easy to swap in and out. Again I really want TCE to build a brand new version of the G system , that would be totally awesome. I wouldn't change a thing other then pure transparency in sound quality. It does slightly change your amps natural tone.
this has many effects built in except dirt; the Nova Drive pedal has features to integrate with the G-System. Unless you have non-dirt effects you need, the G-System does everything else: filters, compressors, boosts, modulation, delay, reverb,... it's big, well-built and heavy.
how on earth does a product first released in 2007 (14 years ago) turn up in large quantites as brand new sealed units?! maybe behringer who own TC have just restarted manufacturing of these using god knows what...mind blowing...
I could never understand why I should buy a multi effect unit that doesn't offer any drive pedals as well.. Yes, for 300 pounds it's great, but still..
I still have my g-system with the updated input buffer based on the Red limited edition model, along with my Nova Drive. Also, have the Nova System, and all of the Nova pedals. They sounded great back in the day. Great sounds that still work well today IMO. Not worth me selling them, and I may use them again in the future. I think the TC Electronic Nova series is worth a look today.

@@danielhunsinger8017 Interesting stuff, appreciate the perspective. I guess technology evolves rapidly. Good stuff. 👍
Amazing product! I had a nova system. Badly wanted this but I couldn't afford it..
Id buy one, but im from the USA. At that price its very tempting.
We do ship to the US ;)
It’s got everything, but no drive sounds
Would it be worth getting this if I already have a fender chorus pedal and would just be looking for the interface and other fx?
I mean I wouldn't therefore have much if any use for any modulation from it
this has many effects built in except dirt; the Nova Drive pedal has features to integrate with the G-System.
I'd guess they release a newer version soon and want to sell what they can before that
the foot pedal is great why can't we get an updated brain? come on TC ....
I want one and I don't even have a use for one.
"And all the chickens are saying why am I so massive?"
"Why does your G system have Cook Pass Babtridge written on the side of it"

I didn’t understand one word that Lee was talking about! Still enjoyed the demo though
To where is Lehle P-split conected?
That model is not old?
I could never understand why I should buy a multi effect unit that doesn't offer any drive pedals as well..
Yes, for 300 pounds it's great, but still..
I still have my g-system with the updated input buffer based on the Red limited edition model, along with my Nova Drive. Also, have the Nova System, and all of the Nova pedals. They sounded great back in the day. Great sounds that still work well today IMO.
Not worth me selling them, and I may use them again in the future. I think the TC Electronic Nova series is worth a look today.
Balls! Just went to get one (2left in stock) and pulled the trigger - sold out 😞
Hi, I am calling about the Jaguar that you have a deal on at the moment ...
Sorry , Sir they are all sold out.. how about popping in to our showroom to check out other silky smooth drivers...
??Hey Cap, are you going to get the new Fulltone Plimsoul for yourself?
No one should purchase another pedal from that racist arsehole ever again.
please do the tc electronic nova system
I have one but my helix made it completely redundant
it makes me buy it even if i don't need it.
That's how you know it's a good deal ;)
Sounds great
Behringer killed TC...
Christ, what mystical corner of the warehouse did you find these to sell them at this absolute bargain?!
Check the link for the G system, its broken.
Taking a play out of Nintendo’s book? Massive savings!!!… if nothing ever depreciated in value, haha. You should give them away as door prizes.
Review tc eletronic nova system
That's the trouble with digital back in the day compared to analog - it's dated due to tech advancement.
i want this
seems to be sold out just after video launched
