I lived on this channel for about a year after I lost my fiance. She left me after she got cancer and realized that we would not have children together, and she knew how much I wanted that in my life (she had kids from a previous marriage). At the time I felt abandoned because I was by her side through the treatments. It was really rough. To anybody out there reading this is going through a breakup and suffering, I'm so sorry. It really is so shitty. Your feelings are valid. All the same, try to treat yourself well. Get out and live life. I know that getting out of bed and out the door can feel like you're lifting a million pounds, but do it. My only regret during that time is not acting a bit more dignified. I'm a little wiser for what I went through, and I love the people who are still in my life all the more for hanging with me through all of that. Sending love to you all.

Just a note from my own experience- don’t take an ex back multiple times who are perfectly ok with leaving you high and dry. Moving forward quite easily without you. Going on to do what they want without you. Dating other people and not caring about you. Doing what’s best for themselves. Take my advice, just move on. There may be extremely rare cases that it can work out again and again…but it’s not worth having to go through yet another break-up. Then they know you’ll always be there waiting for them if they want to return again and again. You’re just an option. Proceed with caution.

    • Yesterday was my birthday. She didn’t reach out to say even a simple “Happy Birthday” after 80 days of No Contact…
For me that was too disrespectful, so I put the last nail in my coffin of hope and today I put my Viber in “Offline” mode, I went to the gym again for the first time after our breakup, and I let myself feel the gazes of other women for the first time since the day I met her..
I think it's time to move on, even though I still love her like crazy !!! Stay strong. Greetings from GREECE.

Guys that are hurt by the lack of birthday wishes; i know it's hard & it hurts. My guy ignored 2 birthdays since the breakup. Hard as this is, we have to let go of having expectations of them now. I told myself he wouldn't reach out but of course I'd be happy if he did but I didn't *expect* it. Ironically it was HIS birthday I struggled more with; I wanted to send an anonymous gift, but I took Coach Craig's advice & did not, although i did donate to causes he cherished in secret on his day. Let go of wanting or needing things from them guys. Find something you love (for me it's writing) & pour your heart into it. Who knows what could happen.

I think that if communication has been reestablished but they are still uncertain and are in a dynamic of bread crumbling, letting them know you're moving on is something that will shake their ground. But this has to be sincere and not a power play, and it has to be communicated in a loving and respectful way.

@@goodlord420 seriously, just let her do the dating with others. She will not follow you if you drag your head into the mud for her. I've been in the same dynamic for years with an ex. Finally I said that if she wanted so much freedom she could have it, and that it was also my time to move on... and I really meant it, because I was feeling like a slave. Somehow such honesty from my side triggered her to reconsider things. But this is not the best way, if you have to do power plays to keep them it is also the best for you to go on. So bring yourself to the point that you really enjoy your own company and the rest will follow.

I've been in no contact since June 5th. Wasn't the greatest ending. I was threatened with a contact order which was totally unwarranted. Anyway I totally stepped back after that and been non contact since. At this moment I'm happy with my personal progress the last few months. Gyming every day and getting on with life. I'm still in love with her and part of me in this moment does want to reach out to her. However she didn't even wish me a happy birthday the other day so I need to remind myself of that as it shows she doesn't give a shit and is not right for me. I'll be fine but it is tough

I'm focusing more on healing & moving forward, unlike before where I was basically waiting for that person to come back. She's reached out & still has some stuff at my house. Thinking back, it hurts how things were once so nice & now it's like this. I guess in a way I'm stuck in the past & everything reminds me of her. When I think of how things once were between us, it gives me hope, but also I feel like it's hopeless. The only thing I can do is move forward & better myself in every way that I can.

It wasn't to punish her but it is because I know my worth & if she really wanted to reconcile she would have to grow a pair & message me outright.
I'm done with the breadcrumbs & anyone who wants to date me will have to show up & I won't accept anything less.
This is what I have realised & worked on since the break up.
