falling in reverse the drug in me is reimagined alex hefner ronnie radke
When Alex says "I love his voice. I honestly fucking love his voice"
Me in the background patiently knowing what he's about to hear in the reimagined version...🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐😌😌😌😌😌
Lmao I went if he loves his voice he gonna cream with the reimagined
Fucking same
MEEEE
@@RavenCrank LMFAO yes
LITERALLY MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY😂
For the fans that know the context of the song, the feels are real.
The original one has the same lyrics, it's about Ronnie's struggle with drugs and then jail.
He talks about how difficult was to stay sober.
In here, the piano adds the sadness and maturity about it so we can realize the real problem here, but what i liked the most is that in the original video the "drug" was portrayed as a woman, in here the "drug" is the same woman that is in the album cover... and at the end she burns.
Ronnie had been sober for years now, he doesn't need her anymore and we are so fucking proud of him.
ZaTt 408
Hell yeah, get it Ronnie.
Yeah. No doubt.
Hell yeah, soooo fucking proud of him!❤❤
Well said!
Straight up. 100% correct. Overcome everything and we're all that proud of him
After the original..."I love his voice, I really do"....
Me...grinning knowing what's coming
I just laughed and said "just you wait dude, you gon' die" as if he could hear me.
same fr
fucking exactly
lol thinking the same
I said the literal same thing to myself, as soon as Ronnie started singing in Reimagined and Alex's face changed i literally laughed
It's impossible to make a better version of The drug in me!
Ronnie Radke: Get me a piano.....
Erik Des alliers for real dude! It’s gonna be the same with popular monster reimagined
I'm still laughing at this comment
@@carolinecooper9119 same
I was going to give this a like but it’s at 666.....I can’t be the one to ruin that.
Ronnie: Yes
If the reimagined version doesn’t give you chills you’re not human.
@michael cole If you were a fan from back in the day, when the og song dropped, it made you shit bricks. I wish everyone knew what that felt like to hear this after almost a decade of the original being the only version
@michael cole hell yea dude, glad we can share that experience. In a weird way, its satisfying to see that progress from an artist I've seen so much hate for over the years
RIGHT!?
I concur!!!!!
Agreed. I fucken love this song
Also fun fact: the court room in the drug in me is you is the same in popular monster
Christian Bolinger I deadass just realized that bro like when it came out it was just oh a courtroom but the popular monster came out. Damn
also the girl in the video is from the cover of the drug in me is you album cover
Not just in those 2 but in like 1 or 2 other songs as well
I knew it looked familiar!
Darn you beat me too it
I've never met someone who can sing "Fuck" so gently and beautifully.
It is my favorite word. You can do so much with it. Very versatile word.
Ronnie himself hated doing this in the reimagined version because he didn’t know how to sing it so gently hahaha
You: *reacts to both the versions*
Me: he's a good one *subscribes*
Vittoria Marroni this makes me very happy! Welcome to the family
@@AlexHefner thank you very much^^
and his videos shorter than most people reacting to just the second song/video. he won me over lol
@@Kablucharrio it's probably because he doesn't stop the video over and over when he wants to say some shit. I really like it
@@Mochi-tj1qo exactly. Everyone else pauses it 20 times and then once they pause it they rewind 12 minutes lololol
its cool you reacting to both instead of listening to the original for yourself first!
My thoughts exactly. Everyone else doesn't take the hint that there's a previous version and it kills me.
Colton Dickerson you’d think it would be obvious when it’s reimagined is literally in the title
@@pussndick or people can't read the word "reimagined"... seen a couple of those reactions... xD
I agree. This is what I'm lookin for.
A different reactions from youtubers because I'm still inloved in this song
Original is generic and boring
Thank. You. So. Much. For. Reacting. To. Both.
You. Are. More. Than. Welcome.
And thank you for commenting about the actual video instead of requesting a song!
@@joshtedrow4415 I never do that. I think it's better to show the video the attention rather than request another video. I appreciate creators work on videos and if I were a creator I would get a bit discouraged if all I ever saw was requests for new content without any feedback on the content itself.
i like that this guy went and watched the original BEFORE the reimagined version he gets such a better understanding of Ronnie’s growth and that’s necessary i feel
When Ronnie screams you can hear the sadness and anger in his voice
couldnt agree more ..........
Gives me chills each time
I know iknow ronnie is a genius
But everybody is ignoring it.
People sleep on him, he was one of the first rockstars to rap on rock tracks. Years ahead of his time.
I think people sleep or better dislike him for his past, the jail story etc
The Ransom is my fav!

Morbid Angel is better than Death I said one of the first
After the first video: "I love his fucking voice! It's so good."
Me: "Oh Alex, just wait until you hear the next version."

There's rappers
There's musicians
There's screamer

@@vi6224 Lol, I'm currently listening to "The Drug In Me Is Reimagined" and I got the notification from you replying to this comment
There is Tyler Joseph
true that hes amazing
Anybody else feels like this is not just reimagining of the song, but reimagining of Ronnie himself. He's not a musical villain anymore. He's finally moved on, a destroyed this atmosphere he had about him.
%100 agreed
Smart comment at laaaast
For some reason this comment has made me super emotional. I'm so proud of Ronnie
This is 100% accurate. He finally turned her (drugs) down and reimagined himself as a human being. Been following his journey since 2007 and I tear up everytime I hear the reimagined version.
AGREE!! I absolutely lOVE Ronnie
That version really changes the whole meaning to this song even though its still the same lyrics. Definitely hits you in the feels.
When I first listened to it I didn't even realize the song was the same since the presentation is so different
@@ragnazero1971 I had the same reaction

Sorry I don't have his lyrics memorized 🤷♂️
For me it's turned a song that I couldn't listen to (mainly because the vocals on the original are terrible) to a song That I replay over and over
All the emos of 2020 shook hands and hugged each other for this.
Yea u can confirm we did
I would have preferred im not a vampire tho
I'm sure his voice makes everyone question their sexuality

There are
,,singers,,
,,Rappers,,
,,musicians,,
Then you have ,,artist,,
Ronnie is an artist.
Ronnie is whatever, don't understand why he's hyped up
@Ti Low not neccacsrsly, you can slap rapper on your name but it won't make you and eminem or a tupac.
You can call yourself a singer and Never be an Elvis.
ECT ECT.
Ronnie took 1 of their old songs and remade it, brining the song to another genre.
You have to know what your doing to be able to know several types of music, play instruments and write songs.
@@stevefromwork6136 You don't have to be an Elvis to be a fucking artist. Lmao. Musicians are artists.
@@dreameater9225 you can call yourself an artist many ppl do that are not good,
Elvis wrote songs, knew several instruments, and sang many genres of music rock country, gospel ECT.
I say artist i mean real artist.
@Ti Low you could look at it that way, all art is art but not alm of it is good art. To which to can say there is no such things as bad art.
Its that persons creativity on display and will be here when they die so on that point I agree the work can be art.
im saying Somthing Seperates the ones calling themselves artist and ones that are true artist.
A person that
reads music
Play 1 or more instruments
Takes what is old makes it new
Write his or her songs
All of that takes Somthing inside and that is art and those ppl are Seperate from those claiming it.
I love how in the first song its more of a "imma distract myself and pretend everything is ok" type of song but the reimagined song is more of the "i feel like crap and i need to know someone understands me rn" type and its all because of the way its sung and the instrumentals, because the words are the exact same but somehow they give off a different meaning
Dude! Right?? Him and Sean Rooney need to do more collabs. Sean's instrumentals perfectly suit Ronnie's voice
How do I know Ronnie is a good singer? When the original version makes me smile and headband, and the reimagined version gives me chills and can make me tear up on a bad day. THAT'S talent.
Ronnie Radke is definitely one of the most talented musicians int he scene right now, and he's definitely under appreciated. This was an awesome reaction! I'd love to see you react to Motionless in White's newest video and In This Moment's newest video! There's also a band called New Years Day that I don't believe I've seen you react to before that you'd really love!
I love Motionless in White.
I absolutely KNEW the top comment on this song would be a young female lol.
I agree. I get why people don’t like him as a person, but musically he’s a creative genius.
I've got MIW tatted on my arm lol
I second MIW and In This Moment.🖤🖤🖤
The Band Deserves A Grammy for this song!
The Grammys isn't good enough for them🖤
Sadly the never will, bc the people who pick the nominations pick them as if it were a popularity contest
Hank Voight but this song and popular monster are competing on iTunes metal charts as the tops tracks.
Cameron Lott the unfortunate truth is that the selection committee doesn’t look at those lists. They only take into consideration what the majority of people listen to, no matter how good or bad that music is. And actually good music (like this) gets largely ignored because it isn’t very popular. Hence my saying the Grammys is just a giant popularity contest
You also love Amy Lee from Evanescence's voice. So imagine Ronnie and her collabing on a song together!
Romeo Oscar Bravo oh my fucking god yes. A thousand times yes
I believe I would just put away every other song and just listen to that one. I would be complete.
HELLLLL YEAH, OMG I would legit die if that happened, but i'd die after I heard the collab and i'd go happily
he doesn't deserve to be anywhere next to her
Omg THIS
The original is like him riding the high with reckless abandon, while the new one is him having matured and looking back with regret on the years of abuse and consequences of his actions.
:0
It's quite amazing actually. Ronnie really depicts how he has matured perfectly. When you're young, you know what you're feeling but don't know how to express yourself. You can't put words to your emotions, and once you get older you're able to do so more effectively. In the original song, the words are the same but the emotion isn't quite there. But in the reimagined version, with his experience and maturity he is able to convey his feelings perfectly.
I know he could have done this same rendition of the song back then but it wasn't what was "wanted" but now, fans have grown up a bit, done some experimenting and now can actually enjoy this type of music. But honestly, I believe this dude can do anything. Well, I don't have to believe because he does. The absolute best musician on earth.
While i completely agree and this is a great version.... i would be pissed if he played this at a concert. Not what I'm looking for from them as a band and looking to pay for.
@@joefisher1122 they're playing this in their tour right now ronnie said himself.
the older version is addicting af though lol the new one takes it to a new level 🤣🤣
@@foureyedhuman yeah i know. Im seeing them tomorrow. Lucky my ticket was free lol
And this, my friends, is how you react to a "reimagined" song. Listen to the original 1st! You are the ONLY UA-camr reactionist that has done this! Props man!
2 rocking grannies did 2 videos reacting to the original first then reimagined. Both good.
There are finally a few more now... They listened
I had a ex girlfriend. On the day i found this musicvideo is the day she broke up with me and left the town.
She left me here, shattered in pieces. But thanks to this video i found myself back, pieces by pieces. And now i have days i can finally smile a little bit.
Ignorme1 I’m glad you’re doing better man, keep your head up things can only get better.
I feel that hard. Been here too.
The thing is, a lot of the time when singing in a more melow tone like Reimagined, people will try to not yell, or have breaks in there voice, or have uneven vibrato. But Ronnie does all of those things, and he's a genius for it. It adds so much emotion to an already emotional song. When he is borderline yelling it's reminiscent of when you're in an emotional arguement with someone. When his voice breaks between head and chest voice in conjunction with the uneven vibrato it almost makes it seems like he's almost crying while singing. Even if it's subtle adding all those things can make something seem so so much more personal and so much more intense than if you didn't. Ronnie Radke is a fucking genius and there's nothing you can do to change my mind.
Falling In Reverse is criminally underrated. My favorite band. No shame, and completely proud to admit it. The level of eclecticism, purely raw talent, and sharply honed skill that Ronnie Radke possesses is truly awe inspiring. Can’t wait to see where he takes his vision next. #FIR2020
I don't think so. It's bigger than ETF ever was and now that band is opening for FIR. No to mention both bands are famous in their genre.
Orchid Malevolence I’m talking about how FIR is regarded as nothing more than a scene band when they have put out music that is far too wide ranging to be considered as just scene anymore. They’ve penetrated hip-hop, pop, country, electronic etc. all throughout the course of the band’s history.
They are one of my best from along time ❤❤
I feel like they were really popular during the “scene era” but as they progressed, people lost interest, especially with their latest album. I personally liked it, despite the change in sound/style but many people don’t do well with style changes, like Bring Me The Horizons change. They’re definitely making a come back and I think the old fans are coming back as well but they were definitely a staple of the scene and have since been a bit underrated
@@comewither i can't say more u just did . Ty 👍

Anyone think the Reimagined version should win the Grammy for best song, best music video and best song that'll surprise everyone who listens to it?
Sorry, but this is the best reaction to music I've ever seen. I literally saw everything I felt while listening to this the first time in this video. I don't know, it's just somehow satisfying, so thank you.

This is definitely how you should react to this song. The growth doesn’t make sense unless you watch the first one
100% agree
The Reimagined version genuinely hits me super hard and it's tough to not tear up listening to it. I didn't realize how much I needed it until I heard it.
NO ONE EVER can make me physically HURT like Ronnie can. The pain in his voice hurts SO MUCH
Honestly the reimagined version is such a vocal flex. Lots of singers don’t sounds so good when isolated outside of the band, but damn this is so stripped down that you can hear how good his vocals are.
Ronnie sang his heart out in The Drug In Me Is Reimagined and you can hear the emotion in his voice with FIR songs now
Check out The Day I Left the Womb. Ronnie's vocal ability from it was unreal
Orchid Malevolence has oooo
Im not a fan of FIR, but wow. Im floored and i FEEL the emotion from his voice and that sent some PTSD chills down my spine.
PLEASE!! React to FIR's 'I'm not a vampire' original song and their 'Revamped' one!
Literally the best song to date. Ronnie is an amazing artist, with so much range vocally, musically, and also lyrically. Major props for listening to the original first man, literally no one else is doing both so they grasp his change, and really feel the emotions Ronnie poured into the reimagined version. The growth is unreal, Ronnie is on top.
Please do not doubt my love for Ronnie, but the musical credit here should actually go to a musician called Sean Rooney. He arranged the piano, and played all the classical instruments for the track
Dude, so happy you did both of them. One of the only ones that did this😁
Its incredible how a restructuring of the same song can bring the lyrics so forward and almost give the same song a totally different meaning. The delivery makes you listen and it's so much deeper than the poppy punk style lead on. New version blows the original away for me 100%. Gorgeous. Like it was always meant to be this way.
Really honestly think how good so many bands lyrics are heart felt and connecting to real life situations get lost just because the style/platform they're performed in doesn't match how they're really ment to be taken in by. Makes you think howmany thousands of songs can be totally reconstructed like this to show true emotion and real talent the band's really are.
@@zleggitt1989 Definitely

Idk why but I will admit I actually not only did I get goosebumps I actually started to cry a little and I have no idea why...anyone else?
All of us, or we're lying to ourselves or dead inside
When he screams 'time' near the end.. that raspy tone or whatever it is.. I want more of that!
I would say the "fry" which bgg is what you're talking about is the easiest and most beautiful way to scream because you can actually hear the words it's so clean!! I love it too especially with ronnie 😍🤘
@@RoxxyFly Its so beautiful. Would that be the same as a lot of the screams from Adam Gontier? Or would that just be his normal tone. I'm not super knowledgeable on the terminology used.
@@Elemeyoh yes basically except he uses it more for singing but he also has a very deep voice so it's easier that's why ronnie mostly does it with screaming. But yeah there are different types of growls and screams. A fry isnt a type of scream or growl per say but it is a vocal technique. I've seen the first one so many times. I never heard the reimagined one. Lord I don't know why the second one wanted to make me cry. It made me feel like I was losing someone and that was heartbreaking.
@Vicodyn welp definitely not a little girl and certainly not scene please share with me why I'm unstable and why everyone knows? I've lost some very important people in my life and it brought me back to that loss.
@Vicodyn ok well I don't understand. Something is wrong with you. Or you have no heart. Both my family members were murdered. Why I can't be upset about it or allow a song to help me get through it I had no idea was wrong or an unstable thing to do.
@Vicodyn wow you definitely have no soul or feelings.
@Vicodyn you need to leave me alone now.
It's a troll he has no content!
I did not expect The in Me is Reimagined to sound like that and I am not disappointed at all.

I mean. It's not that he doesn't deserve it. It's just his past is a bit rocky. Gave him a pretty bad look. And he has some slight anger problems he needs to manage. Which after seeing the re-imagined.. I'm hoping he's a clean and good to go guy now. Cus the talent and effort he's putting out from that. Just fuck me up. Hope he doesn't throw that away.

To be fair, some of them also didn't realize from the start it was a re-imagined song, they thought it was new until comments told them.

Ronnie has been ahead of the chase when it comes to the industry for years now and I think the fact that he can take a song recorded 10 years ago and put a whole new angle on it and evoke nostalgia for all us old mfs is an achievement I think he deserves more credit for
I love that you did the original and then the reimagined. These guys are so talented and I never thought I would see the day they are popular. They deserve it!

Thank you!!! So far, so many people are just reacting without knowing or taking the time to hear the regular version. Appreciated
now I'm quite a bit older than most here. That being said, this is what's been missing from metal for a while. Used to be when you bought a tape or cd the band would have a ballad. It would be nice to see that come back. Perhaps this will start that again.

I prevail does, motionless in white, in this moment...ballads are definitely making a comeback.
U is a boomer ? 😳🤔
That's true... The funny thing is that I really love loud and agrssive music but most times a song like this is the one that blows me away. It was the same thing when I heard Distubed's "Song of Silence" and on many others. I like to bang my head of but in truth these are the true masterpieces.

Diving into the lyrics is a must for Falling In Reverse. He writes his own songs and they are usually very emotional and full of things he experiences.
"The Drug In Me Is You" sounds very catchy, upbeat, and fun song. But dive into the lyrics knowing that he struggled with drug abuse and you will find a whole new meaning behind what he says. Its almost as if he is admitting his life is falling apart and he cant stop it. I think the use of women in the video (not only cool for a video) is a representation of his vices.
"The Drug In Me is Reimagined" uses the same lyrics but delivered in a different method. Also very emotional and carries with it a different meaning. Almost like an apology or declaration. He released the song "for his fans" and the imagery in the video such as the blond woman (who was the cover of his old album) and her burning at the end to me signifies that he is getting better and moving beyond his past.
One of my favorite songs by them is Chemical Prisoner. Watch it and have the lyrics pulled up. Ronnie is an artist.
I recently discovered them awhile back and I fell in love. I listen to them on a daily. I absolutely love them! Ronnie's voice is amazing!
Your reaction to this was the same as mine. I've listened to it multiples time a day since this version came out. As a fan of Falling in Reverse since I was a teenager, I'm so thankful you listened to the original. Ronnie is amazing. And the reimagined version is hauntingly beautiful. It really makes you listen and feel the lyrics. I never realized how deep of a lyricist FIR is. Easily going to be one of my favorite songs of the year. Also hell yeah for metal being in trending 🤘🤘🤘
I'm so stoked to have arranged and played the piano and strings on this track I've been waiting for a reaction video from yourself since it came out .thanks so much man.so honored to have been a part of this.
Yay more FIR. You really need to dive deep into their discography. One of my favorite bands
Love this reaction, I have come back for a rewatch several times over the past couple years, your surprise and enthusiasm still make me smile.
I FEEL SO PROUD, that i listen to this growing up.
Yo Alex you absolute legend, hope you're having a dope ass day, dude you gotta react to Rolling Stone or Champion by Falling in reverse, got everything, catchy clean vocals, heavy with screaming, and some dope ass rap that I know you'll love. Keep up the great work boss. Peace
The Amity Affliction - Soak me in Bleach
I love watching people react to my favorite genre, especially reactions like this because I still get chills
I just discovered your videos through you reacting to FiR, honestly loving how positive you are about music in general. It's a thing that is lacking so much in the community.
