As a metal head, the reimagined version hits so much harder for me. It's like a reflection of life, the younger version of him knew the meaning of the words he wrote...but his older self sang them like he finally understood them.

He wrote it while in prison. Supposedly looking into a mirror. So the drug in him is himself and his bad decisions/self-sabotaging habits he's worked so hard to overcome.
I've listened to the reimagined version a million times and every time I get chills and a catch in my throat at certain parts. Simply magical.

in the original it's the same courtroom from popular monster. he wrote this while in prison. the fangs were a clue to which song he was going to reimagine next. he actually said that he hates that he used the word fuck and it was hard to make that word pretty. the girl in the reimagined video is a depiction of the girl on the original album cover

Fun fact: Ronnie is self-taught on the piano. Also, after the fact, he said that he wishes that he didn't cuss in this version of the song. And there has been talk of a reimagined version of Popular Monster. He played a clip of the instrumentals during a twitch stream.

I never gave an credit to the lyrics until he sang in this way. This is my favorite thing he does. It is the definition of beauty. The lyrics are incredible, he isn't playing the part, he is the part, and it is very cinematic. The audio is amazing. This is my most favorite song he has ever produced.
We all keep asking Ronnie for more of these more operatic sounding versions because we'd all definitely pay to see a Ronnie Radke rock opera for sure!!!

The reimagined version will forever haunt me. It's so beautiful, and such a statement. And evil with its clutches it has. From the prom queen ( from the first album cover) to the flaming forest.

I've been waiting on this one. It's definitely my favorite. The end is my absolute favorite because I feel like it's all the emotion throughout the song finally explodes and it's heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.
This is the first release from Falling In Reverse. He wrote it in prison while looking in the mirror, so the lyrics are himself talking to and about himself. The court room is the same in the Popular Monster video. Tons of easter eggs for the OG fans in the reimagined video.

I’m so happy I discovered Escape The Fate when he was still in the band! The minute he formed Falling In Reverse I had no doubt in my mind that I would love every single song! His evolution over the past 10+ years have been so wonderful to watch and hear!!
I want to explain to you why you should love this because the song is about a toxic relationship. When you are in a toxic relationship, the person is like a drug that is making you so miserable and no matter how much you ask them “can you see “ They can’t because all they see is themselves. Narcissist all the way through. When you listen to this song having been in that place you understand why in the beginning it is soft because in the beginning of those relationships your soft and asking “please see me”, please love me, please hear me… And at the end when you have been so emotionally abused and you’re so miserable but you can’t walk away because that person is like a drug and you are so addicted even though you’re miserable by the time you come to the end, The softness that you felt in love with them in the beginning, turns to so much anger and you are screaming

That is exactly what a relationship is like whether you’re a woman in an emotional abusive/narcissistic relationship, or a man is in a relationship with a woman who is like that. They do not see you they don’t care. All you are is a source of supply for what they need because they feel nothing except what they want and they take from you and take from you and take from you Until you’re nothing but a shell. And all of the emotional abuse recovery groups and narcissistic recovery groups I have heard so many times that some people who were addicted to heroin or crack or alcohol, said that it was easier to get away from our break, free from the drugs than it was to break free from the person who They were addicted to.
Other relationships could treat us that way, and we will turn around and walk away. The type of people I’m talking about and I believe he’s talking about. They groom you because there is a certain way to pull you in. I am sure you’ve heard the analogy of boiling a frog. You can’t turn the heat up quickly or the frog will jump out. You turn it slowly up and the frog stays in even though he’s being boiled alive.
But these type of people are insidious and get into your life before they take off the fake mask they wear to pull you in. When they take off the mask, like Stockholm syndrome, they have you and they are your drug and they do make you miserable. I totally understand the end of the song, because like so many of us who have been through this where the drug in us was the person in the beginning you’re talking softly and trying to get what you need because you keep giving them all that they need but by the end you are dreaming there’s the rage. There’s the built up pain screen. I hope you can listen to this maybe one day from that point of view. If you listen to evanescence, my immortal, Amy Lee was going through the exact same thing. The exact same thing. If you listen to the lyrics of “My Immortal” you’ll hear it. Compare they to “ You never call me when you’re sober”
I’m really glad you’ve never been in a relationship like that but I hope this may bring a little bit of perspective so that you can listen to it and perhaps think about it in these terms and see where you can be sad grieving and trying to express what is so complicated , and then, after a long time that sadness turns to anger and it’s like you just stand screaming CAN’T YOU HEAR ME? CAN’T YOU SEE ME? WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG?
We did nothing wrong. I love the way he did this, because for the millions who can relate it is a voice or a scream when our voices have been silent and no one hears our screens.

It's much more than just a scream for the music.
These songs and Popular Monster are the ones that got me into Falling in Reverse. Those three songs alone showed me the range and talent of Ronnie Radke. He's done so much and still continues to forge his own path with no apologies. I'm always looking forward to what they''ll come out with next. It's always interesting.
The fact his voice is so powerful and raw, then just so pure and delicate…. Simply amazing
i’m ngl one of the reasons i love you guys so much especially kyle is because he gets emotionally touched from songs and tends to cry at the songs i cry from too and it’s nice to not be alone in that
The ending for me felt so on point. It felt like a last effort of being heard as most of us are only heard when we scream. I was captivated and held my breath throughout the entirety of the song, but the last part had me releasing that breath and feeling like it was releasing frustration as well
I comeback and watch these every few weeks because they are two of my favorites and he is so fucking good man. Once he reimagines Popular Monster my life will be complete, that song has a lot of meaning.
Fun fact, Ronnie said in one stream that the courtroom in popular monster is the same as the one in the drug in me is you.
I feel like the emotions of the song comes forward more in the reimagin version than in the orginal. But I love both of them.

The end of this song is possibly my favorite musical moment in a song ever. The outpouring of frustration, not feeling heard/understood, after the depleted hopelessness and confusion of the rest of the song…. Mm. Fucking amazing.
I feel like Ronnie Radke is a musical genius... He's a modern day Beethoven in some ways. The last few years he has created some amazing work, and I cannot wait to see what else he comes up with!
The end of the song really just finishes the story. The anguish and the haunting torment of his experience is better articulated by the screaming and thrashing at the end. it completes the mood that builds through the song
I'm a grandma sitting here loving this reaction, my 28 year old son introduced me to FIR, I love the originals if you want to get the fuck up and dance. But...... the reimagined and revamped versions are absolutely perfect.
I know the song isnt about a romantic relationship, but I listened to the reimagined version, and with the imagery, immediately took me back to and end of relationship argument I had. Calm and reserved at first, then slowly building to the meat of the argument and then breaking down with the soft but extremely impactful swearing "I love you but I can't fucking do this," and ending with a "Can't you see how fucked up what you did was?!?!", which is that finale. If you've fallen for a crazy chick and you had to end it, I'd be willing to bet this is how it ended.

When falling in reverse was newer, I immediately disliked the sound of the one song I heard and from then on skipped all their songs whenever they came on until maybe a year ago. I heard popular monster and was like ok, I dig this sound. Then when their older songs would come on I decided to give them a chance. WHO THE FUCK KNEW I WAS GOING TO BE SO ANGRY WITH MYSELF FOR MISSING OUT ON THIS TALENT FOR SO LONG!! 😭

This is one of my absolute favorite songs of Ronnie's, and could easily see this as a play on Broadway.
The reimagined/revamped versions are showing how Ronnie is a true artist and that he knows exactly what to do with (his) music. I love his range and what he and his band are creating. I would call myself a fan from the beginning, cus I was curious what he "has to say" after he had to leave Escape the Fate. Don't get me wrong, I still do love EtF and their music, but I prefer FiR because of Ronnie's creativity and his way of making music and how it let me feel his and my own emotions. This man really knows "how to music"! 😁

Heads up, the reason they're remastering older songs is cause the studio owns the rights and after 10 years an artist can rework it and the rights revert back to them, the orginal version might be the studios technically but the song itself will return to the artist if IF they remaster it

I really like that you touched on the profanity section. I still consider that section as "beautiful" because I feel like (and I think you mentioned it in the reaction) it still punctuates the deeper emotion by using stronger language. I heard Ronnie mention while he was watching another reaction "why did I keep that in?" and I'm sooooo glad he did! it just fits lol
I only like the screaming at the end because after all of the emotion he brings forth throughout the song, the screaming sounds like intense desperation rather than "ooo its heavy just cuz i want it to be".
Before he was in Falling In Reverse he was in Escape The Fate which date's back to circa 2005 even then there is so much talent. If you havent heard it i recommend it. Timeless stuff

I have to disagree with you on end part of the song. I think the intense scream singing was needed just when it came in and I think it brought the emotion level that was more intense. It may have been ok without it but I felt it was perfect in bringing it out of the setting so it wouldn’t be lost.

I just became a fan of your channel and so I’m a year slow in commenting…I’m sure you know now, but this version takes on a very real and personal feel the more you listen to it. It’s taken on a couple of meanings over the years for me and the work Ronnie did here never ceases to amaze me.

Great reaction. I like the end. The whole song is a little sad/resigned and then at the end there's the frustration "can't you see?". It's perfect to me and one one my favorite songs by Ronnie.
Ronnie really has come a long way. You should, just for yourself (!) watch a video of a very young and very high Ronnie getting a tattoo. It's called "Ronnie Radke em LA ink". Just to get an idea how far he has come as a person and how hard this way probably was. If you can let me know what you think about it.

There really is something that is just some captivating with Ronnie's voice. He's just such a sensational singer and vocalist!
The reimagined version is amazing and definitely my favorite song i've heard from him!! It's gorgeous and dark, somber and emotional, and really emphasized the tones needed to express Ronnie's struggle going through drug addiction and withdrawl (he actually has PTSD from the experience apparently).
You should check out "Situations" by Escape The Fate. It's previous band of Ronnie, he is hella young there! It's always interesting to see the beggining of Ronnie.

If you like Ronnie on the piano and his voice, one of the most emotional hitting songs is Brother from the just like you album. Although there is no video it’s a tribute Ronnie made for his brother and highly recommend listening to.

Crazy how by changing the pace of a song with the same lyrics can change the whole song like its not even the same. When you hear the reimagened version you hear lyrics that you don't hear in the original
Both versions are amazing in its own rights ... The og brings you back to that time you can remember all sorts of music from that era that got you ... The reimagined seems like the lyrics finally got the visuals and arrangement it longed for .. it's very whimsical and tim burtonisk

My favorite Falling In Reverse songs are Carry On, Popular Monster, I Don't Mind, the trilogy and the Reimagined - in a little different way. It's so different from the rest of their songs and so beautiful, I love every note of it. Great reaction guys, looking forward to the next one. 😊

Its a anguished love song. Multiple times he says he's high on misery and asks (begs) "cant you see?" And even in the flamey-firey bit, where he screams "cant you see" over and over she (or whatever the object of his affection is) sits there and burns instead of making the change.
