It’ll be good. He’s def gonna mention her hair is beautiful watch. Lol Also he preforms this live very well but, he is more playful with it lve compared to this version that’s super theatrical.
While she was saying, the teenage Julia who loved (mentions bands) I was like...if she fucking says Escape the Fate she will be in for a pleasant surprise haha
If you want to witness a vocal coach really falling in love with Ronnie, I'd recommend "The Charismatic Voice" reacting to this song. If this fine lady had moved an inch on her seat...
This song has been getting me through this year... I lost my wife to a rare disease in dec of 2019 this song has saved me from myself on multiple occasions thank you for doing a reaction video to it.... You're just so awesome 😎
mr. tomahawk, i am very sorry for your loss. all of my best thoughts for you, and all who are yours. i am glad, though, that you have found something to help. music is one of the best therapies, and falling in reverse has a lot of sings that help me. i hope this finds you better than you were yesterday.
@elektromanyaro yeah it's been pretty rough I try not to stay at home anymore. We put alot into creating a home but now the memories strip me apart and leave me emotionally drained. Traveling, music and friends are helping me to find myself moving forward and learning to focus on new goals. I bought cameras and now have been vlogging about it and its been a great creative outlet for me. There were so many complications with my wifes illness I went down a pretty dark path.
@elektromanyaro I found an outlet into creative writing as well! When im at my most emotional moments I've been creating small poems and quips, I even began a book based on these poems that I am still currently adding to. I've mixed the poems along with stories and pictures of our life together... I decided to face my fears of allowing people to read my work and decided to publish the book for everyone to see at some point. My wife, before she fell ill was in the process of facing her fears to try to beat her severe anxiety disorder. So I in return decided that I should face my fears head on, I've done so many things now this year that I've been terrified of. I've never left the country so that's another big one that I want to do soon I'd like to get a passport and travel outside of the United States.
This is great. You should have done Falling in Reverse - The drug in me is you, first as that's the original version and you would have seen how the song had changed and how Ronnie Radke had completely changed the song but at the same time kept it the same. You should do that one next, then try Popular Monster. Love your videos and always look forward to them. Have a great day Julia.
Well she can always go back and at least watch the original drug in me is you to get a grasp of the entire concept of having the same lirics but completely diferent messages
If you want to hear Ronnie's raw voice I highly recommend The Day I Left The Womb by his old band Escape the Fate. It is just acoustic guitar and voice and one of the most powerful and gut-wrenching songs he's ever written.
He can actually perform this song very well and it sounds absolutely wonderful live. Ive been there live when he sung it for the first time. It is as good.
This is the first video I've seen that has actually used the phrase "subverting expections" PROPERLY. Good analysis as always Julia! Keep up the awesome work and the passion for music alive.
Wow, oh wow, this was a HUGE surprise, incredibly, intensely masterful and heartwrenching. Julia, as always, your identification and explanation of what would likely be unnoticed techniques and nuances increased enjoyment of this video tenfold. Phenominal effort, as always. Love from Wisconsin, USA!
Fantastic ! This band has been on my radar a little bit but they are firmly on it now with this song. Well done Caption Julia, Actual Julia, Teen Julia.
Fun Fact: Ronnie writes, composes all his music. Plus: he is the creator of all his video story lines. So its all him.. The band is all hired as needed. Yes he plays the piano! Keep up the good work! Enjoy your channel very much... Stay safe and please stay healthy.
Hallelujah is often said to be the greatest song ever written but ... For my money, this might be the greatest song I've ever heard. This evokes something from me every time I hear it.
Beautiful Julia, thank you! Crazy to see the original song style to this one but this is definitely the better version. He is SO versatile! Writes and arranges all lyrics and instruments it's nuts!
I love how video-Julia and caption-Julia interact :-) Also you made a reaction video 4 times as long of the original video, and NOT. ONE. SIINGLE. SECOND boring. Thank you so much for this!
Love those red heads. Nice reaction. This song blew me away. It is hard to describe except, you know the guy knows life, and has experienced the pain of it. You can't sing this way, unless you have been at rock bottom, and felt emotional pain that people don't typically experience. True art.
As always a fulsome and easily comprehendable breakdown of a performance. Thank you also for not falling into the 'Seasonal song' trap. Hope your Chrissy is full of friends, family, good Prawns and nice beaches. Cheers mate.
@@rog2224 If was going dark I would have suggested Scissors, Disasterpiece and definitely Iowa and I'm not Jesus and this one for me it's the darkest song for sure, not the musicality but just the lyrics and if you know the story behind those lyrics if make it even darker. I'm going emotionally and another good song is Bother and Zzyzx Rd from Stone Sour.
The day this song dropped, I easily listened to it over a hundred times. Still in my everyday playlist too. Great analysis. Always fun to see the people I've watched for Dimash reactions cross over into my other favorite genre 😂
Don't know if I've left a comment before but I know it matters to the algorithm and all that stuff. So here's a comment to tell you that I absolutely love your reactions. I've been subscribed for years and keep coming back because I know you'll always give an honest, insightful reaction while not overdoing the technical side of the analysis. Great stuff. Keep doing you...
Could you do more Falling In Reverse (Drugs, Popular Monster, etc.)? Maybe not your usual style, but the guy shows so much artistry in everything he puts out. Love your channel!
I wonder if Julia has found the time to peek at the original version, dive in to the backstory, gain a deeper insight into the metaphorical representation of past temptations, delusion, and insanity that is now wearing the blue dress (who fittingly goes up in flames). So powerful. I am taking my life back. You can't stop me. You can't derail me. You can't distract me. You are powerless here. You are the ashes of my past that my enlightened future can now freely evolve from. When one door closes, another opens. Though it may start as a tragic tale of hopeless desperation.. Not a sad ending at all. The way the lyrics and visuals depict that artistic juxtaposition is simply amazing. Julia picked up on the precise moment when Ronnie truly snapped and made the decision to reclaim his life from the abyss of madness. That scream of empowerment is beyond breathtaking. One of those 'resoring faith in humanity' moments. Well played. In a broader context, we all have a personal situation that we can reflect back to and appreciate the lesson learned through the passing of time. Arrrggghhhh.. What was I thinking?! Very relatable. I suspect angsty teenage Julia would have greatly enjoyed the original at the time. Modern Julia? That piano and cello is hitting a bit differently these days. In a profoundly good way.
There are some performances and performers that can only be described as masterful. This song brings powerful emotion to the surface and never doesn't effect me strongly. Thanks Ronnie.
I've watched this a dozen times and identify with her so hard when she's almost crying with Ronnie and actually laughing a moment later....Julia and I both live and understand that dynamic......
Just discovered your channel by accident watching some great music videos and I really like how you react and examine the videos and the music. Greetings from Germany
Yeah the compression they're using to bring his vocals much more forward and pointed was spot on and perfect for this song. Ronnie is a genius when it comes to his production.
I just like all of the elements of symbolism incorporated through this reimagination.. compared to the inspiration of the original version. The woman is a representation of temptation and addiction. She tries to coax him back.. disturbs the tranquility. He watches her burn and reclaims his future from such influences. Powerful stuff! The true irony is that, in a personal sense, regardless of the dark visualizations, this is a happy ending. He is burning the insanity from his existence and allowing for a fresh start, a rebirth. The vocal gymnastics is enhanced by contrast to the original rendition of the song. Knowing a bit of the backstory puts everything at a whole new level of appreciation. Was not a huge fan or follower of FiR as their albums were released. However, this entire 'reimagination' is endless layers of sheer brilliance.
The original song is brilliant but this version is soooo breathtaking! Ronnie's voice is truly incredible. Always a pleasure to see people react to it ^^
Thanks for another great reaction Julia. "Popular Monster" would be good next, especially since you were talking about "Tension". As an early Christmas present Jinjer has just dropped possibly their best video ever.
The part in which he sings “I’ve lost my GD mind” is the beginning of the chorus. In the original song it’s a much more direct transition to it so I understand the confusion.
Ronnie Radke is a pure genius of our time, He's had a dark life which he puts into these incredible songs, Then if you listen to the other songs you realise how much of a musical god he is... The various singing styles and capabilities are just endless with him. All self taught, and yes... He is playing that piano (in case some didn't believe).
Ronnie originally wrote this song while he was in prison. He said he was sitting in front of a mirror looking at himself when he was writing these lyrics. Loved the reaction even if i am late to watching this video lol
He didn't start the song out how the original song went, but once he got to the chorus a second time he revisited the chorus from the original song and I honestly think that was incredibly intelligent
So they just dropped a new song, I'm Not a Vampire (revamped)! I think you'll be blown away by the song and video. Please please do a reaction! Love your videos
Thank you for explaining all that. I wish I could put it into words what I hear like you do! Definitely got a new subscriber! Now it’s time to binge watch all your videos
This is sooo good. Loving this version so much more than the original tbh. Insane vocal skills. Always enjoying your reactions and commentary/opinion on all those phenomenal songs, Julia! In general I'm a silent viewer and not really commenting much but I've already seen some comments which have caught my attention: I really hope that you will check out my favorite band called "Spiritbox". Courtney LaPlante, the vocalist of this band, is so damn versalite with her voice. I really love her unique voice, pronouncing and phrasing of words in her lyrics. As other people already mentioned, I think their song "Blessed Be" would be a great song for you to check out! Looking forward to it! :)
'Popular Monster' and 'Drugs' by falling in reverse are both well made stories, 'Snuff' by Corey Taylor is another powerful performance very much worth watching.

Ahahah truth
Hopefully not, the original is a tween shit show.
@@forrestrobbins8074 it's an important backstory though, to truly appreciate the song and ronnie's growth as an artist
Teenage Julia should listen to the original version so that adult Julia can appreciate Ronnie’s versatility even more. Thank you for this.
I get chills every time with that last muted scream where the music drops out leaving just the piano on “see”
Basically we’re seeing her slowly falling in love with Ronnie Radke

😂 I’ll check it out
she can get in line with the rest of us !! haha
Like she is with Devin Townsend
But in reverse.
Julia: "Teenage Julia loved music like this."
me: "THERE WAS AN EMO JULIA!?!?!?"

To me the craziest thing about this beautiful haunting song is that it is reimagined from an upbeat emo song.
This song literally gives me goosebumps every time I hear it, no matter how many times I listen to it.
Compared to the original version, this is a masterpiece.
Correction. This is a masterpiece full stop
All of the above.
