Dude, the meaning is simple. Depression. It is the most "popular monster" to affect people, the demon he sees in the eyes of the broken as he walks around, it's all the same monster, depression, that drives them downward. It's also about Ronnies constant battle with depression and how no one really seems to understand that his depression isn't a phase it doesn't just go away with time. You may beat it back for months or even years but it comes back time and again to drag you back down. Once you've been there you will be back, there truly is no permanent escape from the world's most popular monster. Apparently Ronnie Radke has reacted to you reacting to this song. I had no luck finding it. But you might. If you do find it, please make a reaction of his reaction to your reaction 😱😝😂
The best part about this reaction is that you're losing it to this song and she's in the background not knowing what's going on because you have headphones on 😂😂
IMO It's a complete masterpiece. If you know Linkin Park and Starset, this song is the perfect mix of their style. The rap is like the feeling when you are getting full of anger slowly. Like when you are in a fight with your GF or something lol, or just when life keeps getting harder and harder and your inside voice is just rising and then reaches the top. Then you arrive to the chorus which is the, in my country we have a saying maybe it's familiar in other countries too, but it's hard translation is "The glass is full", meaning you reached your full level of furiosity and you start yelling and screaming. The chorus is completely this level. Then after you let it out, comes the rap's second part, when you start as calm, but shit keeps happening again and you are just getting full again. Then 2nd chorus when you let it out and we arrive to the 3rd part and end chorus which is the complete madness level when your life is a complete mess. So yea, in feelings it is much like Linkin Park's Faint or Numb, both were based a little on this, especiall Faint imo. I hope they will continue on this style because with the voice of this guy they could really reach a very high fan base.
Man I'm not gonna lie. I'm 34 years old and honestly this is the best song in my lifetime. And the crazy part about that is I've only discovered the song and band within the past week. The song is truly epic, and lastly, I can actually feel the emotion in the lyrics and his voice, especially in the final chorus. I'm just so blown away. i'm literally saying wow or damn every time I hear the song.

So excited that you reacted to this song haha! Honestly, I had this song on repeat for a long time as well. I wanted to show it to my boyfriend but I didn't realize he already knew the song because he's heard me listen to it so much haha
Ronnie is and always has been the man. Dude seriously got me through rehab, and years of therapy while I was still active duty. That was like 2013. I met him a few years ago, and dude is nothing like most think. He's just a very focus and determined person who gets highly annoyed at the stupidity that gets in his way. All I'm saying is, checkout some of his older stuff. Even from back in ETF. Not for reaction vids, but just for personal listening. Some of it is a little pop-ish, but theres great songs on every album.
Falling in Reverse is my favorite band for so many reasons, it’s the band that first got me really into metal, I was into rap and stuff like Twenty Øne Piløts and emo music when I found them. They take everything I like and put it into one band and make it seem almost effortless and it’s amazing
This is the video that was my introduction to you. I immediately subsed. I love your reactions. I love that someone gets what I get from songs. Someone that isn't afraid to let the music make them feel.
I LOVE watching people who generally don’t listen to this genre react to it. ESPECIALLY when they are completely blown away. This made my shitty day so much better.
He was half the singer with Escape the Fate that he is on his own with Falling in Reverse. Falling in Reverse let him loose!!!! Lol Dont get me wrong, I like his Escape years
I've always been a rock fan, and over the last year or so I've really gone into metal and now I'm stepping into rap a bit more! So you're so right about people liking this song who likes metal and rap. That's me for sure! I absolutely LOVE this song too. It's so good. I've been listening to Tom Macdonald too which I'm loving.
It’s not bad but I’m a pretty die hard ADTR fan and it honestly just doesn’t sound like they used to, bad vibrations was just such a great album and now they’re going for a more pop vibe but the problem with that is it turns into a song that’s good for like two weeks and you get sick of it. Their old songs never get old to me
Alex I think that you have the right idea about this song, I feel like everything you said is true and spot on cause i know when i was 14 now 24 that i would get bullied for music like this and more metal. People always called me monster or demon so I can say that this song and more express how people feel or are and they shouldn't be judged for it. It just shows who is strong and who you really are.

Lyrics: Yeah, I wake up every morning
With my head up in a daze
I’m not sure if I should say this
F**k, I’ll say it anyway
Everybody tries to tell me
That I’m going through a phase
I don’t know if it’s a phase
I just wanna feel okay, yeah
I battle with depression
But the question still remains
Is this post-traumatic stressing
Or am I suppressing rage
And my doctor tries to tell me
That I’m going through a phase
Yeah, it’s not a f**king phase
I just wanna feel okay
Ok yeah, I struggle
With this bulls**t every day
And it’s probably ’cause my demons
Simultaneously rage
And it obliterates me
Disintegrates me
Annihilates me
‘Cause I’m about to break down
Searching for a way out
I’m a liar, I’m a cheater
I’m a non-believer
I’m a popular, popular monster
I break down, falling into love now
With falling apart
I’m a popular, popular monster
I think I’m going nowhere
Like a rat trapped in a maze
Every wall that I knocked down
Is just a wall that I replace
I’m gonna race against myself
And try to keep a steady pace
How the f**k will I escape
If I never close my case
Oh my God, I keep on stressing
Every second that I waste
Is another second sooner
To a blessing I won’t take
But my therapist won’t tell me
That I’m going through a stage
Yeah, it’s not a f**king stage
I just wanna feel okay, okay
Ok motherf**ker
Now you got my attention
I need to change a couple things
‘Cause something is missing
And what if I were to lie
Tell you everything is fine
Every single f**king day
I get closer to the grave
I am terrified
I fell asleep in the world again
Crashed my car just to feel okay
Obliterate me
Disintegrate me
Annihilate me
‘Cause I’m about to break down
Searching for a way out
I’m a liar, I’m a cheater
I’m a non-believer
I’m a popular, popular monster
I break down, falling into love now
With falling apart
I’m a popular, popular f**king monster
Yeah, here we go again, motherf**ker, oh
We’re sick and tired of wondering
Praying to a God that you don’t believe
You’re searching for the truth in the lost and found
So the question I ask is, oh
Where the f**k is your God now
‘Cause I’m about to break down
Searching for a way out
I’m a liar, I’m a cheater
I’m a non-believer
I’m a popular, popular monster
I break down, falling into love now
With falling apart
I’m a popular, popular monster
I’m a liar, I’m a cheater
I’m a non-believer
I’m a popular, popular monster…

Ice Nine Kills - IT is the end ; A Day to Remember - Resentment
If you want to see the "Storyline", watch them in order:
1.) Losing My Mind
2.) Losing My Life
3.) Drugs
4.) Popular Monster
They all hint at each other. For example, this one has his daughter Willow in it.
@@gabrieladair5282 A few of the others have Willow in it too.
My point precisely
There are also some small instrumental "easter eggs" in the other song, like how "Losing my life" has the same instrumental part as "Losing my mind" at the end of the video when Ronnie's "past self" comes back from the dead
U know a song is sick when a reactor forgets to pause almost all the track
You shouldn't pause at all imo. It disrupts the experience.
@@flololo yess, i agree totally ... sometimes it just KILLS the pace of the song/video ...
@@usmanwahab7716 Then go watch the actual video.
@usmanwahab7716 while that is true, you have to actually do reaction for fair use to apply. Record companies will strike these videos if they just play the song. Also you have to pause to get your thought out, and not miss the next verse.
Still mising Losing my life and Losing my mind
Such great songs. If FIR doesn't drop a new album soon, I'm gonna be LOSING MY MIND
lol
@@nogrecords Ronnie's hinted at an album but tbh I prefer the way they've been doing singles for years, it means every song gets a lot more time to be worked on and songs don't get buried by others the way they do in an album
@@satisfactioninajar7668 ya know, that's a really good argument. Their last what?, 4? 5 songs have been just fuckin incredible. With sick ass videos to go with them....
However, I'm old school man. One of my favorite things in the whole world is opening up a new CD, popping it in and rockin out to new music for 45 minutes or so. And of course, adding the case to my collection! ...but you have a very good point
I was waiting on your reaction to this. Glad i waited 🔥
WavyAnt I hope it met your expectations??
This song is so relatable to what im going through right now and in understand the feel of wanting to be ok amazing alex thanks for introduction to this band keep up the great work
Apparently Ronnie Radke has reacted to you reacting to this song. I had no luck finding it. But you might. If you do find it, please make a reaction of his reaction to your reaction 😱😝😂

"Rolling Stone"- Falling in Reverse
Yaas
Would highly suggest bring me the horizons recent song ludens it's fantastic!
The best part about this reaction is that you're losing it to this song and she's in the background not knowing what's going on because you have headphones on 😂😂
I've had this song on repeat for a week now😂
The songs is of ronnie his life and how he feels he puts his emotion in his songs
How have you not done “losing my life”. That’s their best song to me
IMO It's a complete masterpiece.
Ronnie Radke the vocalist from Falling in reverse. reacted to your video
BRING. ME. THE. HORIZON. LUDENS. PLEASE.
Also: I love how close your reaction to Popular Monster was to mine. Has been on repeat ever since. WHAT. A. SONG!

Same reaction wife & I experienced when we were browsing YT this past weekend. We love FIR & this song is exceptional & the music video to it is top notch for sure. Great reaction video man!
At first i thought this was another channel, who would completly play the song and than doesn't add anything of value. But after watching the video completly, i was pleasently surprised by the amazing lyrical breakdown. Awesome work!! And you are a 100% right, this song bangs!!!
Please react to This War is Ours by Escape The Fate 🙏🏻
David G he’ll love ungrateful too!
Bring Me The Horizon’s newest song Ludens! They did it in part for a new video game that just came out called Death Stranding
Liked this before it even premiered. Alex is gonna love this !!
Corey Yeary thank you so much for being incredible!
@@AlexHefner love all the reactions man, been a great experience watching the Hefnerd family grow. Keep up the amazing work !
Ronnie reacted a little bit to your reaction in his twitch!!
Next reaction idea:
Hollywood Undead - Day of the dead
Or their new singles

We Own The Night
Lions
Gravity
Dead Bite

Falling in Reverse is my favorite band for so many reasons, it’s the band that first got me really into metal, I was into rap and stuff like Twenty Øne Piløts and emo music when I found them. They take everything I like and put it into one band and make it seem almost effortless and it’s amazing
This is the video that was my introduction to you. I immediately subsed. I love your reactions. I love that someone gets what I get from songs. Someone that isn't afraid to let the music make them feel.
I'd highly recommend reacting to Ludens by Bring Me The Horizon next
Ronnie just reacted to your reaction on a live stream
Volumes - Edge of the Earth
The way your face lights up when the chorus hits is how everyone feels first time they hear Ronnie 😂 he’s such an epic artist
I LOVE watching people who generally don’t listen to this genre react to it. ESPECIALLY when they are completely blown away. This made my shitty day so much better.
My man you need to react to falling in reverse - the drug in me is reimagined
The popular monster I’m guessing is the depression and anxiety that takes multiple life’s away from amazing artists . Good song
Peep some old Escape the Fate with Ronnie. See where his roots come from.
He was half the singer with Escape the Fate that he is on his own with Falling in Reverse. Falling in Reverse let him loose!!!! Lol Dont get me wrong, I like his Escape years
His lyrics from ETF's debut is just a work of art.
@@tdatrim I wouldn't say let him loose, but his style changed from less emo to more urban with less screaming.
he MADE escape the fate then when shit hit the fan they just stayed with the style
Ronnie ETF was so good never got them after him
I've always been a rock fan, and over the last year or so I've really gone into metal and now I'm stepping into rap a bit more! So you're so right about people liking this song who likes metal and rap. That's me for sure! I absolutely LOVE this song too. It's so good. I've been listening to Tom Macdonald too which I'm loving.
Love this song so much, have listened to it about 30x so far on Spotify haha
NEW SONG: From A Day To Remember “Resentment”
herd that just the other day!
It’s not bad but I’m a pretty die hard ADTR fan and it honestly just doesn’t sound like they used to, bad vibrations was just such a great album and now they’re going for a more pop vibe but the problem with that is it turns into a song that’s good for like two weeks and you get sick of it. Their old songs never get old to me
@@meracore470 I'm hoping they're releasing the songs that are more neutral and the heavier songs will be left for the album release
