Mat now that the Phoenix can actually turn nicely on the dev server, could you try the R-27ER vs Phoenix bvr fight again but with the new models for the missiles on the dev server? If that’s possible?
Phoenix wins with range and active homing. The f14 can launch then turn and run.
I've started diving into BVR just now, with the Tornado ADV. Having mixed results, since people just shove themselves into the furball and the problem of either team disappearing is still very prevalent. But at least I haven't been killed by Phoenixes whilst at high altitude yet...
That's the proof that the fox 3s will not make the r27ER bias end
And I know that they are fox 3s, so fire and forget etc... But the thing is that this missiles have only a HDN seeker, so they miss very easly

The AIM-54 got quite a buff so it might be alright... if you have an F-14 on your team.

I would run 2 r-77s, 1 R-27ER, 1 R-27ET, and 2 R-73s
Su 27/F 15 match will be like
1.take off form the Airfiled
2.fire multiple R 77 and AIM 120
3.go back to the airfiled for replenishment

I mean, it's like that in real life too. Better to fire off 4 fox 3s and hope one sticks than to risk a close engagement and losing the plane/pilot. You can produce probably hundreds of fox 3s for the time and money it takes to build another su 35.@@ssd3337
In-game su-27 doesn't carry R-77 iirc. I wonder if they add a new version later with others or let SMT be the only Fox-3 carrier for ussr

No because fox 3 are useless at long range atm, very easy to chaff and crank, you need to be at least 30 km
so basically r27 in low danger long range scenario, r77 in medium level danger where you cant fly towards target and then r73 in extreme danger level where they are right next to you?

I’ve been waiting to see more domestic armament. Why I like the F-15J cuz it’s not just another AIM-9M. It’s different. Be cool to see like the Python 4 for Israel (although i think it’s advanced like the AIM-9X or close to it but that’s just a guess).

How do you move the radar selector freely trough the radar scale and then lock?? Did somebody else realized that?
Turn off “cyclic switching” In settings (not controls) for air battles and bind the keys. You can Look at radar guides to better understand this mechanic
Does Fox 3 also work like SARH msl?, if you maintain the radar lock it will help the msl ??
Yes, AMRAAMs for example only lock for the last 16km and use inertial navigation until then

As much as I want the EA, it would be too strong rn. If the R-27ER is still the best radar missile kinetically, we shouldn't add an active variant.

there is no defending against the r-27er. your only hope is to break radar lock which at high altitude is just impossible to do. those missiles are completely op.

The other thing Germany could get is an early Euro fighter typhoon, which would be a jump that warrants the introduction of a F15C(Late), Su30(maybe Su30SM?), JAS39C(Late), MAYBE a prototype Rafale but that's a BIG maybe
