There was MiG29SMT 9.19R (actual SMT in Russian AF) with more flares and better rwr what can see more SAMs, but we know reality about "Russian bias"
MiG-29SMT (9-19R) it's 4+ gen fighter aircraft, add to rank 9 and might be seperate vehicle from MiG-29SMT 9-19
@SuwatWatjinda it's not. It's just little bit better SMT. MiG29M is 4+ gen.
They should add the MiG 29s, it’s a MiG 29 9.12a with a slightly better radar and can carry r77s, very light and would be the best MiG in game by far being the most maneuverable and have r77 and r73

Currently MiG-29SMT 9-19 lack 3rd generation targeting pod
I might expect gaijin consider add Sapsan-E on MiG-29SMT 9-19 next month because improve CAS 7 ground attack, Sapsan-E it's 3rd generation targeting pod and Su-27SM Flanker-J1 & Sukhoi Su-34Fullback equipped this targeting pod
I'm guessing that will come with the M or the mig-35
The biggest nerf to the SMT’s CAS is the the clouds (impenetrable white mist that covers the whole map). Yes, it looks beautiful but really limits what planes with no thermals can do. The f16s can see right through the mist with thermal, so do the AA. Even the AA radar can see through. What’s the point of long range CAS when 2/3 of the maps are covered in mist now? Yet, it does not solve the problem of ka50s camping near rocks since the clouds are above 1-2km in altitude.
I love this jet but i do wish we had some hardpoints on the belly for bombs or finally get the Su-27

I think after every other nation gets a good jet that can compete then yes the SU-27 would be nice but for now its just too much.

Change your bomb delay settings off from 0 seconds. You can still get bugs with half a second or a 1 second delay, but they're less common
When will they make the SMT not a boat?
In a update or two, now it's the us turn to dominate, unfortunately that's how war thunder works

@@Ghost-.__.- Like bhigames said, even the 9.13 is a bit sluggish rn, they increased drag and as a result it lost like 2 degrees of sustained rate, search for "Dev Server Datamine 2,29,0,12 -> 2,29,0,17"

Mat, how can you point the radar at different angles? also choose a sector for lock?
Its in settings, 1 for locking the radar to the boresight of the nose, 1 for moving the cue to pick a target

I believe the "glitch" you're having with the locking is the same as what the Mavericks have always done. I think it's intended to have that issue. I've never not faced it with any of the aircraft I've used them in.
Also your bomb exploded but the tank was killed a split second before your bomb detonated.

TDP needed and something better for CAS (f16s are crazy,i have the A one and is amazing, can't wait to use the C)
After the patch TV guided are horrible ,locking on ground far away from the target and when you try to unlock things you have to spam the keybind to it otherwise it will just keep relocking alone...
Yea don’t use assault fuse mat it’s been bugged for ages I use 1.5 sec and it’s reliable

Sometimes your munitions don't work ? That has NEVER happened in the history of munitions use, EVER !
If this is a bug then bad luck man, if it's a feature then I highly approve !
I still think this thing should get a TGP with laser guided weapons, but for what it has it is definetly not bad. Russian TV guided weapons, at least these, are still much better than the US counterparts (walleye/Maverick) when without a TGP. I did not know these Russian things had full color cameras, much nicer than the black and white cameras on the mavs for instance. The Russian TV weapons also have great zoom, having the same zoom levels as your standard TGP only without FLIR of course, while US ones only get one fixed zoom level that and that's it.
Maverick D’s have two zoom levels, IR camera for night and day useage plus better for spotting targets than both color and black/white. It can also track a moving target from around 15km, the Kh-29TD can only track from 7km. Plus the AGM65D is smokeless and can be fired from 22km, really nice for taking out Pantsir if you fire one or two, AND it gets the triple hard point mount so u can carry more of them.
Tbh, it’s the best TV/IR guided munition in the game

@@christopherchartier3017 I agree, but only when you have a TGP. Otherwise it literally only has a 2x-4x zoom. Yes it's variable but it barely helps. It has worse zoom than a lot of ground vehicles, so at most you're doing 3-4km shots at most or something.
Track range is 9-10km but it can acquire targets in an okay area post launch, so higher can work if you accept the small risk the target may move away during this period. Same goes for all other F&F things though.
Most of the time you're not going to do 20km+ launches except for laser guided stuff because ground units only render under 17km in online matches.
@@Frozander The entire plane is a bit obscure, mainly because it was meant for export. But the 29M and SMT 9-17 where cleared to run a TGP I believe. There's the T220 pod or Sapsan-E, I forgot which one was the more likely one. Russia also supposedly used French pods, I mean they also use French FLIR in their tanks, like the PDLCT. Damocles was also produced under license but iirc not used on domestic aircraft and only export ones.
