Seriously Rachel Parris is one of the most brilliant comedians I've ever seen. This whole show is amazing. I know I'm American but I can't believe I've never heard of this show before.
More than one! But thank you for making sure I've seen comedians. I appreciate your concern. I'm also not sure how her temperature is related to her comedic ability. Unless you're worried she might be suffering from a fever. You really are a very lovely individual for being so worried about everyone.
Just when I thought we were lost, finally some real political satire. Remember when we invented it? No, neither do I, but we did. The Americans took it to a new level and HIGNFY descended into moaning about the weather. Thank you, Nish and crew.
26:47 "The bloke who cries sniffing a tea bag can hardly be relied upon to torch a village" I haven't laughed so hard since Billy Connolly did his sketch about incontinence pants!
There are most definitely grey areas. Also, if you hug a girl that fancies you then it's always completely fine, they NEVER complain! Even if it's a long hug. Whilst when a girl is hugged by a guy who she's not interested in she doesn't like it. A lot of men want to know what the rule is. Either it's OK for all men to hug all women, or it's not OK for any men to hug any women. It's inconsistent for women to claim they've been sexually assaulted when someone she knows hugs them, but are happy to have a 20 second hug when they meet a random celebrity for the first time, for example. The problem is women want the best of both worlds. They want to be hugged by men they fancy, but not hugged by other men. But they don't want to out-right say that because it sounds so harsh and shallow, but that's where the confusion is coming from. That Rachel person is missing the point. She should actually ask men about their concerns, rather than pretending to know what their concerns are and then mocking them! I think the solution IS for men to never hug any women. If it's really that traumatic for women for be hugged for 5 seconds, I think it's easier for no men to hug any women at all (apart from their family of course), than to have endless controversy about sexual assault. And it is about how the woman feels at the end of the day. You might be OK with a 5 second hug, but other women aren't. Some women even get uncomfortable with a 3 second hug. So it might be OK to hug YOU, but it's not for other women. You might laugh, but even a short hug can make women uncomfortable if they're not into the man who's hugging them. For the record, like many men, I hardly ever hug people anyway. I only hug girls if they come and hug me first (e.g. in a club and so on). And I don't have any friends who are girls. So it's not a problem for me, I wouldn't care if it's banned. I always ask a girl if they're a feminist before I let them talk to me anyway, so I can avoid girls who are likely to falsely accuse me of raping them.
You ask girls in clubs if they're feminists because you're worried about false rape accusations? Jeez, you sound like a load of fun to go out with. I think you're overthinking. Maybe just use your common sense to tell how each, different, diverse and individual female might react to a unnecessarily overlong hug. You say men want to know what the rule is. Perhaps it's best not do deal in absolutes in such a way. All men and women will have their own ideas about where the line is. Isn't it better to use intuition to interpret these things and make decisions from there before you dive in for the intimate hug?
How about you put your arms out, just like putting a hand out for a handshake, to avoid confusion, the amount of time is similar. Everyone seems to deal with it with other things, such a handshake, why does a hug have to be different?.....Simple! As for asking females if they are a feminist first........Weirdo! How would you like to be asked if you are a masculinist before anyone spoke to you?
As an American, I apologize for Trump (I tried, guys), and thank you for this. I think Rachel just became an overnight celebrity here. And I always love a good Boris Johnson joke. Hand in hand over the cliff indeed, my friends.
Isn't that the point about toxic masculinity? That we all have these unfair expectations? I know I am sexist towards women sometimes, and I am trying to move past this. A lot of us have the same unfair expectations of men, and of women! The point is to change the way we feel about that. Sexism isn't just a male thing. It's just that in "formal ways" (pay, respect, and also respect) women are usually more negatively affected. But sexism is a problem of society, not men or women, and everybody can only win if our children grow up with a different feeling about these things. It is much easier for me to not be sexist than my mother, and she fought. My father always fought for women's rights, but my brothers have a much more intuitive way of normalising equality. We have to feel a bit weird about it, so it's not even a question for the one's coming after us.
"Sharp ~and~ surreal" they say... well better than scones with maple syrup on Wednesday! Already familiar with some of Nish's work, epic part from 10:46 to 11:11.
Those were the good times. Who could have thought that out of Brexit, out of Trump and Corona the world went down even further. What will historians call this era, the time when the world went nuts, or just the times of rock bottom and beyond.
I think it was John Oliver who commented that Trump is the most racist President since we decided that Presidents probably shouldn’t be racist. First time I’ve seen this show. It reminds me of the Onion News Network.
I love Nish, and I'm new to Mash Report (Yay! Social Isolation) but I have to wonder if having a comedian that corpses so much is the best choice for a deadpan show. Don't get me wrong: I love how much Nish finds other comedians funny and that he's not shy about laughing at them/their jokes but this reminds me of the Canadian This Hour has 22 Minutes and I can't remember any corpsers on 22 minutes. No matter, really, I will be watching as much of this as I can find.
Rachel Parris did it better than the guy at the table. The anti Trump comedy might make some people laugh but I think that kind of comedy played out with W Bush.
Until the interview i thought it was all innoscent satire but that guy was clearly an actor placed there to demonise the right wing. He was intoduced as a "voice of the conservatives" (if i remember right) and his views really jump about as the chat progresses.
@10:00 they hug and she doesn't let him go and tells him to hold it for a little too long. She says that if it feels wrong, it is wrong. Then she mentions that what makes it wrong is someone using it for their own weird gratification. She does seem to be getting some weird gratification from it so I'm assuming it is she that is wrong.
@Jarnauga, What they were doing was not a joke, They were trying to be serious but "snarky". My point (making a joke about her "joke") is that the long hug is making her smile because she is getting off on pushing her leftist agenda. That is actually the part that is wrong.
It's just as bad if not worse than The Last Leg, if you saw Kumar's appearence on Question Time he was overtly racist to white people and happily sneers at Brexit voters, like his opinion is more important. Arrogant little worm.
"american shows like last week tonight", I mean, yeah, but last week tonight isn't exactly a good example for a typical american show, its standing out over there as well.
I love Ellie Taylor and Nish Kumar in this show, and many of their pieces are so funny. But do not find Rachel Parris funny at all, nor her shtick with Nish here, implying he's sexually harassing her.
This is identical to The 11 O'Clock Show from the late 90s, and it falls flat in all the same ways. But anyway, the BBC is so partial and PC-obsessed nowadays that there's no way they can do convincing satire.
Seriously Rachel Parris is one of the most brilliant comedians I've ever seen. This whole show is amazing. I know I'm American but I can't believe I've never heard of this show before.
How many comedians have you ever seen ... 1? She is hot though
you really need to look for comedy...
More than one! But thank you for making sure I've seen comedians. I appreciate your concern. I'm also not sure how her temperature is related to her comedic ability. Unless you're worried she might be suffering from a fever. You really are a very lovely individual for being so worried about everyone.
Anytime!
Totally! Her preachy condescending tone is so funny!
Watching Ellie Taylor try not to giggle while playing it straight is funny in itself. Great show.
I love Rachel Parris in this episode :'D
Would be great if the 'nonscripted' part were real, but Rachel and Nish are so good there's no way to be sure.
This is brilliant. I am so glad I came across this. Thanks, No Limitation!
some people are easy satisfied
Just when I thought we were lost, finally some real political satire. Remember when we invented it? No, neither do I, but we did. The Americans took it to a new level and HIGNFY descended into moaning about the weather. Thank you, Nish and crew.
this is beyond satire, this is political propaganda
The only decent one was Norcott.
@@dfhwzeyep. every joke was aimed at the right wing of the spectrum. glad someone else noticed it.
What a great show. I hope it's on for many years. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for posting this!
26:47 "The bloke who cries sniffing a tea bag can hardly be relied upon to torch a village"
I haven't laughed so hard since Billy Connolly did his sketch about incontinence pants!
The Rachel Parris sketch was brilliant and so true. Hope that clears it up for sex pests, it really isn't that difficult to not be a wanker.

WOW, wind your neck in. Where did that come from? There's no need for that language. You have issues.
I am so happy this is back on air, hopefully they manage to do more than 3-4 episodes this time.
Absolutely fantastic !!!! This should be a 10 season thing !

They're so hilariously clever

Atypical Analysis and Alternative Facts
Those were the good times. Who could have thought that out of Brexit, out of Trump and Corona the world went down even further. What will historians call this era, the time when the world went nuts, or just the times of rock bottom and beyond.
Nish, the guy who invented SMH.
For everytime he can't manage a realistic looking laugh for his partner's patronizing patter at least....
21:16 That twitch though.
the humping workload should be split straight down the middle...
I think it was John Oliver who commented that Trump is the most racist President since we decided that Presidents probably shouldn’t be racist.
First time I’ve seen this show. It reminds me of the Onion News Network.
22:41 Right, yeah. You are supposed to, worst case scenario, shed a single, manly tear.
…then go home and bawl your eyes out into a pillow.
This show was awesome, best part is all the nazis in the comments complaining about "bias"
Nish looks like Bassem Youssef in this show
Which of us is Thelma, and which is Louise?

Can someone tell me the name of the actor who played Martin Bishop in this episode
I know it’s been over 2 years, but the actor is Michael Spicer, he does the Room Next Door sketches on UA-cam.
OMG Rachael is hilarious 😂 My sir name sake not so much 😕
This is series 2, not 1
whats the intro song
raj shah is a fascinating name
Nish says “We’re back”, but the video’s title says series 1, episode 1.
I believe there's a previous incarnation of this show, hence "we're back"
Most of it I really like. Sometimes though, they do go too far.
11 oclock show....
I'll be honest, I switched TV channels during this part when it first aired.
Bring back 'The Day Today' for top satirical comedy.
Can not even touch the NTNOCN
"not on your on little buddy"
15:24 That is EXACTLY what the *_MOST racist_* person would say to deflect scrutiny…
Wow this is a funny as a late cancer diagnosis! Really is this the best the BBC can manage with our extortionately priced licence fees?
What the hell are "Whaps"?
chillchillpill Take your pick
Absolute tripe!
The guy who was having the talk about toxic masculinity is he really conservative or is he just playing a part ?
😂😂😂
Ha ha ha ha ha ha omg this is so funny hee! hee! hee! hee!
Nish looks like an Asian Donald trump in that suite
Honestly, jeff was right.
WTF is "whaps?"

where's the satire? crashing into open doors??????
Welcome to womanhood!!!!!
So glad this smug fest is going.
Yawn.... Easy subjects, Brexit , trump....etc.
So you mean, British politics shows shouldn't talk about subjects that affect Britain and the world? Right.
At a complete bell 🔔
BBC has gone woke.

Nish is very handsome here :)
So dumbed down.

Ähm yeah, pretty sure that was exactly part of the joke, that she does not let go while telling him that that would be awkward.

I was looking forward to this as the first series was an antidote to the right on politically correct "The Last Leg".But this was disappointing.
Mr ReallyReally it is tediously politically correct
this isn't even comedy

Nobody can be as funny as Nish thinks he is, or as arrogant as he actually is.
I wish you were too.
The Left can't meme.
Naaa, it was funny till the army bit. Piss take or not there's a line for me... Personal preference I guess.
honestly all my friends where talking about this but it is just...weak not a patch on american shows like last week tonight
"american shows like last week tonight", I mean, yeah, but last week tonight isn't exactly a good example for a typical american show, its standing out over there as well.
thescopedogable American shows could never compare to the British
I love Ellie Taylor and Nish Kumar in this show, and many of their pieces are so funny. But do not find Rachel Parris funny at all, nor her shtick with Nish here, implying he's sexually harassing her.

What a load of sanctimonious, unfunny drivel.
very biased show
How so?
Yes, biased towards facts instead of your lies to yourself and others. Whatever.
Good to see some variety from Nish “everything is racist” Kumar.
Oops my mistake everything is still racist
Boohoo, your white tears are so boring. Too bad we are laughing at you, eh.
James Taylor when has he said that? Curious, I've never seen/heard him say that.....
+Warrier Family I know you're upset, but there's no need to resort to divisive and racist language.
@@martinmaguire-music6692 white tears is racist now? if this is the worst racism you have seen, english girl you aint seen nothing
