All I can say is that a show that twice references the main character of a Bernard Malamud novel/Barry Levinson film gets my respect.
It’s even more specific than that, as both Roy Hobbs and Martin Bishop were played by Robert Redford (in The Natural and Sneakers, respectively).
I'm half expecting Facebook to pick Panopticon as their new name.
Got to be something simple enough for their users to think they understand.

As a non-Brit, I'm a bit confused about this channel (Dave), because at first I thought they were a regular TV channel that only had one comedy show (with Nish, after he got kicked out of the BBC) but it apparently has other comedy shows (with other comedians), like the other British TV channels have. I'll subscribe but I'm confused. Aren't they going to run out of comedians? xD

Most of what they run are reruns of comedy shows from other channels, meaning there's plenty of material to rerun. Also, they run the same shows again and again and again and again. That's even a regular joke/reference in some comedy/panel shows, which mention all the reruns on Dave.
No that's the beauty of it -- it's always the same comedians, and pretty soon you know all of them and feel invested and that's when the parasocial monster just eats your soul.
No need to worry, we've got an endless supply of bad comedians

As an off topic thought, and possibly not the right place to muse this. Social media platforms placing a bias towards content that promotes divisive content isnt much different to how News companies will focus on the extreme and divisive takes on a story and take parts of a story out of context to make it more divisive because that sells, and pleasant honest news tends to sell poorly. If we're going to sensor social media, maybe we should do something about the news media while we're at it.
Well, there used to be rules about this kind of thing. In the US, broadcast news was legally not allowed to present an opinion or outright bias. They could only do that in their Editorial section. And that was clearly a different segment from the News. But when cable companies (not broadcast, you see) started having their own news programs, these laws did not apply to them. And that's how Rupert Murdock tricked the US into thinking Fox News is actually news.

Is Dave and all of these other channels giving every comedian a show? I'm not complaining, it just seems like every current British comedian has a show.
And every show has between one and seven comedians.

In fairness the chant could be including the Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland football teams as well. We just won't know until they actually win something.

@@mellowado6184 You know it's been a very long time since I watched a football match, because the business is corrupt, and the entire culture around it is toxic as hell, but I can assure you England fans did used to chant that back in the early 2000s after England's 5-1 win over Germany. The full chant being "1 nil down to 5-1 up, 2 World Wars and 1 World Cup".
But my comment is just a joke based the wording. I mean if you made a a chant referencing the World Wars and World Cup victories for all British teams, it would be exactly the same, is my point.

There are differences. This comedian is a clueless foreigner making a joke about a country and culture she clearly knows very little about. Very toxic indeed.

Watching late night mash for the first time and its possibly one of the least funny things I've ever seen. I think getting Covid is funnier than Late Night Mash.
I fear for the future of Britain when comedy is this horrendous. I'm going back to the 80's & 90's and I think all intelligent people should come with me...
I hate Nish's "comedy" but I thought I'd see if he had anything different for this show, turns out it's basically just the same old, lefty style bland, thoughtless, weak, pitiful , woke, not funny tirades.
The audience on this show appear to be either actors, or unfortunate coerced public members.
