Bruce I love your site, helpful tip for low pressure. After I changed all the 6 valves, unloader, pressure vale, checked everything I still had low pressure. Most over looked replacement for low pressure problems. Remove the high pressure hose from the PW, this high pressure hose is attached to the 3" high pressure pipe, remove this 3" pipe, now after removing pipe look back inside the pipe still attached to the PW, yes there it is "The Jet", unscrew the jet (screwdriver left), after the turning stops, you need to pull the jet out, not easy, what I did, I hooked the PW to the garden hose and the water pressure pushed it out, be careful not to lose the jet parts , (back jet, spring, front jet), small pin hole need to be cleaned out, also the jet may need to be replaced, this is where my problem was, worn jet, easy.... Hello there Bruce!!! Thanks a lot for posting this video!! I found it very interesting to see the pump/valve system being serviced. You make it look easy!!! Take care!!!
First of all , Thanks Bruce Today, I took my pump off in hopes of aluminum brazing with low temp alum brazing rods. I have a spraying leak on the pump threads where the brass soap inlet screws on the pump, so I had to strip the pump from all parts because I will be applying heat with a torch in order to braze the crack. First time trying this. Well Thanks to Your Tip on how to remove the check valves using the mounting bolts . I was able to take them out without damage. using the bolt. This was a very helpful video Bruce. I learned quite a bit today! Oh, if you had a pair of snips, can wrench and some diagonal (with wire stripper holes) pliers on the workbench to go along with that cable knife and spudger, I would have felt right at home. ;-)

Enjoy your videos very much, I have that exact pump, and have did complete rebuild and didn't work ,I have watched all the videos and have not seen ANYONE remove the OUTPUT TUBE, there is a valve way down deep with a small rubber O ring on the tip and 2 larger O rings . Mine had the small O ring stuck or glued in tight from setting idle for years.it appears to be a pressure relief valve or something. Hope this helps someone.thanks
I think " someone " use to work for a telephone company. A pick stick or push down tool for jumper wires, and a cable splicers knife. Hmmm, wonder who that could be. LOL Great video my friend. I've got a pressure pump exactly like yours and it's on a Troy-Bilt 3,000 psi pressure washer that's been sitting for 7 years unused. I am just now exploring if the unit will work again or not. I won't find out until I get the new pressure hose for it so I can run the unit to see if it develops high high pressure water. Just a note: Troy-Bilt doesn't support the pressure washer saying it was built by Briggs and Stratton. I went to both websites and Briggs and Stratton said they never heard of the model number I have. It's going to be interesting if I have to rebuild my water pressure pump like you did and find any parts for it. Once again, thanks for a great video my friend.

Yee Doggy...That was a good video on pump rebuilding ...Ana I watched the whole thing while watching Perry Mason...I watch ME tv in the morning shows like leave it to beaver ,my 3 sons etc....
You have not completely torn down the pump. There is a high pressure jet under the outlet tube which has very close tolerances and will stick closed if pump preservative is not used prior to storage. (waheller1 mentions this in his comment 10 months ago) When this jet sticks it gives the exact same symptom as what is shown in this video. This is a build of of pressure inside the pump which the unloader cannot releave. If allowed to continue for a few seconds it will blow out the check valves and damage the internal oring in the unloader. This jet oring must be replaced as it swells from the excess pressure and will not seat properly again. See AR pump parts breakdown to get part numbers of orings or you can buy a oring seal kit. Also the only nozzle you should use when setting pressure is the RED or straight stream nozzle. You should also use a guage to set pressure. Otherwise you cannot be sure of the pressure that is being set and can turn the pump into a bomb.
I’ve watched lots of these videos that fix no pressure, taking the pumps apart, checking hose, etc! Even brought it to a repair shop, they told me to scrap it as they’re basically a throw away inexpensive and easy to replace? The first thing you should check is the KEY WAY??????? After 3 weeks of screwing around, I unbolted the ENTIRE PUMP from the engine and discovered the KEY WAY had disintegrated!!!!!!! Had to polish the engine shaft as it was gouged. Once I removed the burrs from the shaft and the new pump assembly I bought would slide on, I greased the shaft, set the new key way in place and fit everything back together, PROBLEM SOLVED!!! Not one video on here showing that low pressures can and does occur if the KEY WAY has been ground off!!!!
BTW, what's that black barbed fitting for? The one shown front of screen @ 43:54 ? Since that brass one is the soap intake I have no guess at the black one. Thanks.
@@MrUbiquitousTech I believe that is a thermal relief valve. I have seen it on some pumps but not all. If you let a pump idle for a while without moving water it will build a lot of temperature in the trapped water in the pump

I was surprised that although the pistons are 12mm the bore in the head is 13.25mm.
Sorry what are you working on?
@@BrucesShop basic annovi pump. Same as what you have. I am curious what the ID is of the bores in that pump head. I assume they are all the same.
pump says use 85W90 thats gear oil folks. i would not use SAE 30
Well the way I read it in the manual the oil to use is AR64516 which is the AR 30 W So you are right. Can you tell me where the info is that you got the info on the 85W90. On page 13 of the manual it says AR64516 Here is the manual www.arnorthamerica.com/Pages/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/rsv-om-0607.pdf
@@BrucesShop my pump says SAE W90 right on it.
Use a 1/4" easy out or 1/4-20 tap. Much easier.
Right thanks
What time will the roast be done???? I'm hungry lol

I did add oil It was off camera. That pump os stil working and this video was made in 2019
That's a bad practice to put your finger in front of the discharge of the pressure washer because you can inject what ever comes out of your washer.
I understand Thank you
Yes I agree. That could tear skin
plumbers grease would be better
That is what it is. I got it with some tap rebuild kits.
