I rebuilt these beasts for 25 years and am glad to say you've done a 98% excellent job. My nitpicks are - You put 29 ball bearings in the caster races, should have been only 28 (they need a little room to roll around easy). From the factory all the pivot points, wheels and saddle stem came fully greased. At '25:10' the rubber plug for the check valve is installed upside down, if it's not leaking now, it soon will be... And finally - The saddle should have been painted white.
When you undid the bearing to the wheel on your vicegrip I couldn't help but smile. Damn fine engineering when you find pristine bearing marbles despite the entire tool being covered in decades of grime and grease. Like, wow. No wonder I love this older built-to-last stuff

Best restoration I have seen. Not simply derust, paint and call it done. Magnificently done! Concerning the jack itself: as George Gobel famously used to say, "you don't hardly get them kind no more."

If you do a project like this make sure to soak all the replacement seals in jack oil for a few hours before assembly. Pretty much all hydraulic seals you want to pre soak with the proper oil.
That is the exact make and model floor jack that I have been using for 50 years. Still my best and most dependable jack. Great restoration but the lift saddle was originally white. Amazing you could get replacement seals! That jack should be good for another 50+ years.
Dude your restoration skills are perfect, you did a great job specially at the end with that tag iam pretty impressed, you Made that jack new again I give you an A+ amazing craftsmanship skills.
Masterful work, very well done Sir! I particularly liked the brass sign etching - could you you show us in more detail how you did that ? Greetings from Southport, UK.
Better than new from the factory, a restoration to be proud of sir, I enjoyed watching the process. Yes, there are a lot of parts to a floor Jack, I have rebuilt 2, easy to miss a part, that cross shaft you forgot, I forgot it on both jacks I worked on😊 thank you for the video.
Bud you've got some chops. Kudos to you.. really enjoyed this. I have the exact same floor jack. Yes it leaks. Have had a seal kit since forever and a day ago,, but now I at least know how it comes apart. The other details, well, that's something to aspire to. If you do a project like this make sure to soak all the replacement seals in jack oil for a few hours before assembly. Pretty much all hydraulic seals you want to pre soak with the proper oil.
Such skills and patience! AMAZING JOB. 👍👍

Looked great when finished the black paint and stickers made this stand out more
that is a proper real jack, made perfect. Good job done well
That is the exact make and model floor jack that I have been using for 50 years. Still my best and most dependable jack. Great restoration but the lift saddle was originally white. Amazing you could get replacement seals! That jack should be good for another 50+ years.
Thanks for the reply..

There's something so satisfying watching the sped up sand blasting. Good job!
Thanks for the reply..

I love watching you work - you got mad skills & patience.
Awesome job. I have a 4 ton long frame from my dad which used to hold up tractors at his shop. I really need to do a similar restoration on it.
Amazing sharing... Nice tutorial floor jack🎉
Bud you've got some chops. Kudos to you.. really enjoyed this.
I have the exact same floor jack. Yes it leaks. Have had a seal kit since forever and a day ago,, but now I at least know how it comes apart. The other details, well, that's something to aspire to. That brass tag.. whaaaa? 😳
I also have the 3 ton Hein Werner. It leaks off internally. I think they're all worth saving because they are well made tools.
Thanks for the reply.
