- "Yeah it's an experimental genre" 💀💀💀💀💀
Song's backstory: Originally recorded in fl studio in July of 2023. Vocals (let's be honest here, they are not vocals) were added on as a joke. When I made this, I had recently purchased a verrrry cheap electric drumset by Donner. The drumset doesn't pick up every hit in the program, which can throw me off really easily. Then it turns into me trying to figure out where I am in the recording lol. I have other videos that demonstrate that dilemma. The drumset in fl studio that it was linked to was the MT power drum kit. Super basic. If you guys know any better ones, let me know haha. I think the riff is influenced by early Napalm Death considering the original file name was named "Napalm Meth" lmao. But why post this now? Well I was going through a hard drive with recordings on it. I had a good laugh at how bad the drums sounded on it and decided to layer it with the most bazar shit. I may make a real attempt at this or make something similar in the near future. So keep your eyes peeled for that disaster lmao.

@@User5648-g2p Don't forget the Norwegian pagan witchcraft extremely dark black metal. You're not a real metalhead if you don't listen to that at least 6 hours a day.
They confined themselves to half a genre, talent-wise.
@@User5648-g2p bro, there ain't now way you just compared Death metal, heavy metal, black metal, trash metal and depressive suicidal black metal (or black-doom)
first, Imma separate black, death and depressive suicidal black:
black metal:
black metal is mainly characterised by high-shrieking vocals, not-down tuned guitar, lo-fi recording and tremolo picking, the band members often dawn corpse make-up and adopt pseudonyms it is heavily reliant on power-chords and un-muted tremolo picking and trebly distortion, Guitarists often use dissonance along with specific scales, intervals and chord progressions-to create a sense of dread, furthermore, Some newer black metal bands began raising their production quality and introducing additional instruments such as synthesizers and even orchestras. The drumming is often characterised by blast beats and double bass to maintain tempos going up to 300bpm. Black metal strays from conventional song structure by not having clear verse-chorus sections. Instead, many black metal songs contain lengthy and repetitive instrumental sections. The Greek style-established by Rotting Christ, Necromantia and Varathron-has more traditional heavy metal and death metal traits than Norwegian black metal. Traditional black metal bands tend to favour raspy, high-pitched vocals which include techniques such as shrieking, screaming, and snarling, a vocal style influenced by Quorthon of Bathory, Death growls, common in the death metal genre, are sometimes used, but less frequently than the characteristic black metal shriek. Black metal lyrics typically attack Christianity and the other institutional religions, often using apocalyptic language and evoking anti-authoritarianism and anti-establishment messages against religious governments and societies. Satanic lyrics are common, and many see them as essential to black metal. For Satanist black metal artists, "Black metal songs are meant to be like Calvinist sermons; deadly serious attempts to unite the true believers". Misanthropy, global catastrophe, war, death, destruction and rebirth are also common themes. Another topic often found in black metal lyrics is that of the wild and extreme aspects and phenomena of the natural world, particularly the wilderness, forests, mountains, winter, storms, and blizzards. Black metal also has a fascination with the distant past. Many bands write about the mythology and folklore of their homelands and promote a revival of pre-Christian, pagan traditions. A significant number of bands write lyrics only in their native language and a few (e.g. Arckanum and early Ulver) have lyrics in archaic languages. Some doom metal-influenced artists' lyrics focus on depression, nihilism, introspection, self-harm and suicide. The politics of black metal vary, I'm going to stop because tired, lemme sleep

@@DustyLeeSledge I know a couple of people who who had no experience and could do things like go on a piano and intuit which notes sound good together (basically finding scales through pure intuition) and write compelling melodies/chord progressions. Theyre probably picking up on musical patterns subconsciously. Obviously they got even better with practice. There are also famous musicians like this who come to mind. Dave Mustaine doesn't really have music theory training allegedly. I'm not dismissing the value of practice or learning, rather saying some people are naturally gifted at something

I disagree.
No one sits at a piano and have never seen a piano in their life, then just writes a song.
Because it just makes sense to them.
It takes time to become familiar with the instrument;
They may have an ability to recognize and correct mistakes faster than others and it may appear as natural talent.
But ... Most people that make your argument just want to skip the hard work and get straight to the end...
And when anyone calls them out on their lack of skill ...
They will argue "We don't confine ourselves to the musical normalities."
Or "I have a more avant-garde approach to my chosen musical style."
In the end;
it's just bullshit and usually (for most people) takes three times as long to get anywhere worthy of merit.
