I think we have a guarantee for a spring release date. Maynard’s logic is to release albums in the spring or fall, and Tool only has two tour dates in late May at the moment. They released their last two albums in late April to Early May :)

They've said in the past that recording, mixing and promoting usually takes 3 months with TOOL, here's hoping for a 2018 release.
