The part where Graves's name in the subtitles turns from blue to red was a nice detail. To me, I thought it would've been better if it changed within the part where he said, "Your men have been... ..detained."
For real, MW3 campaign was so short (I blame publisher rushing the devs) it was basically a MW4 beta. Meanwhile it played just like MW2 making it feel like a MW2 DLC.,

Cinematics are usually rendered at 24 or 30 frames per second to help ground the scene into what we see in the majority of live action movies. It is incredibly rare to have a movie that ISNT shot at 24FPS. A lot of the time the studios behind these cinematic renders make this creative choice to make it seem more real. The character models, animation and lighting in this entire sequence is on point, but it would look unrealistically smooth at higher frame rates. A lower frame rate also helps make the action look more snappy and exciting.
These cutscenes are also pre-rendered and done by an entirely different studio that specialises in making cgi cinematics (Blur studios iirc) I've heard one of the animators say they wanted to mimic how the scenes and lighting etc would've been done if it were live action. The lower fps is one of the many factors that really helped with the style they went for.

But things are in a gray area in this situation, because TF141 technically attacked first and war crimes weren't being committed until the town was massacred by Shadow Company. And then there's the fact that Shadow Company isn't an actual military unit, so I don't think they would even be following orders so much as contractual obligations.

Agreed. Had graves been properly developed since the first game as someone we could trust, this scene would have a much more impact on us as the player. But nope, this happens after like an hour or two after meeting graves and it was pretty obvious he was gonna be a villain from the start. To me this just seemed like a half assed attempt to do what the og mw2 did with betrayal

the campaign missions themselves are ok in my opinion and the cutscenes are pretty good it's just that the multiplayer was so so bad.
