Just passed my module 2 today; first attempt. I was pretty nervous. I realized I had made a few mistakes during, which at the time got me quite worried, however I tried to put it behind me and continue focusing on the test, although I thought I wouldn't pass. When I got back turned out I only picked up 3 minors. Had I let myself continue worrying and loose focus after these mistakes as a result I'd have been more likely to not pass. Moral here is if thing's don't go as planned, push it out of your head and try to move on focusing on the test at hand. At the end of the day they're not trying to fail you, they just wan't to see you can ride on the roads safely and with a certain level of self confidence: I know I missed a few head checks and other things as well during the test but they didn't give me anything for them as, I guess, they know all riders make some mistakes.. and at the end of the day if you can show you're a safe rider generally they'll wan't to pass you. Just try as much as possible to roll with it and focus on the task at hand (either following the instructors single instructions or following signs). Watch these videos the night before the test as well as I really think this helped solidify my training over night, both with my module 1 and module 2. Good luck my dudes, you can do it!

dude, thank you for doing the mod 1 and 2 videos. shame about the microphone but at least this gives an idea to people like me who are looking to do their motorcycle test soon an idea of what you to expect.
I can't get my head around this test. You can fail for shoulder checks, not doing the speed limit, etc, and if you fail, you can get on your 125 at the test centre, and carry on riding up to the speed limit, on the same roads as someone who passed, but with a printed red L on a piece of plastic strapped to your bike. It seems to me that the only difference is the power of the bike that you can ride, but shoulder checks, and riding too slowly etc, have no bearing on your ability to control a bigger bike ,over a 125 whatsoever..... The Mod 1, I can understand, as that is all about control of the bike. The Mod 2, it just doesn't seem logical to me....
How ridiculous is the system we are living in. So true. Any delivery rider rides above the law, but you must be fanatically strict at your exam, on a road environment full of inconsiderate drivers. :) My Mod 1 and 2 are on the way and was riding for a year now + mud bikes since 1992, but those tests are making me feel nervous, only by the fact I have to go to do the exams ....Great video btw thanks a lot for sharing!!!
Just do your checks and ride to the rules of the road and you’ll pass, then you don’t have to worry at all! You can go to your 125 and take the L plates off! What’s crazy is the fact that in the US you can do a 2 day CBT and you’re fully licenced to ride away on a 1200 after 2 days riding and by all accounts it’s exactly the same as the CBT just spread over 2 days and is just as easy to get through!

Thanks for posting both your mod 1 & 2 videos I’ve got my mod 1 on Thursday afternoon fingers crossed all goes well mod 2 booked for fortnight later my biggest difficultly has been getting the feel of the bigger bike compared to my cbf125 the 650 Sv the use for my direct access course is so easy to ride once it’s moving but it’s hard to get the feel for the slow manoeuvre stuff which is annoying the hell as I could ace it on the. 125 every time in practice . Test Center tomorrow for practice weather supposed to be bad but weather is forecast to be good for proper test on Thursday
No worries dude. My best advice is to look at it like this... It doesn't matter if you fail. It really doesn't. Yes it's money, but you can do the test an infinite amount of times until you pass. Just go in like it's another practice.
KingLies thanks buddy that's gpod advice . Your right yesterday I was thinking oh well il just reboot mod1 as I was shocking in practise but ended up nailing it . 👍
KingLies lol I have mate . I kinda did something I regret now . After cbt day I felt I was to big for bikes as the 125cc Chinese bike was really small .I thought there's no point in doing the theory etc if im just to big . ( 6"2 ) so I called in my local dealer and sat on a yamaha tracer 700 . Fell in love with it lol brand new one . Had it for 6k free delivery it's been sorn in my front room now 2 months haha my son who's 15 calls round with his gf and they sit on the fucking thing watching tv ! Anyway the bike school use honda 600 cbf. I really like them and they sell them too, all are totally hammered and dropped to fuck but I like that retro type naked bike with a few war wounds on it . If I pass next week il tax n insure the yamaha but I'm in no rush . I liked that bandit walk around you did it looks awesome. Do you still have the Honda?
Hopefully you'll get to take it for a spin soon! Yeah I've still got the Honda. In all honesty I don't think I'll ever sell it. I'm a big old man in a 29 year old body. The bike is comfy, gets amazing mileage and there's storage for a helmet within the bike itself, so no weird boxes on the back. If I ever got another bike it would probably be just another version of this one or the updated 750. When you go from getting 30MPG to >80... You just can't go back! I recommend you try this bike when you think you've had enough of the more flashy ones. Absolutely cracking bikes and used to be £5k brand new. Cheap as chips.
Well done for passing, but your first stop was blocking a driveway where you stopped across a dropped kerb. That’s not allowed in the Highway Code so I’m surprised that wasn’t picked up, lucky you! 🍀
Nicely done! I passed the old test before Mod1 and Mod2 were introduced, It's always interesting to see how things are changing. The Mod2 doesn't look much different to what I did but I had to do a few more maneuvers such as Emergancy stop, turn in the road and manual walk round etc. The mod1 however looks interesting, I wonder how someone with one arm would be able to do that Mod1
Well yes, because it's only 30-40 minutes of normal road usage. Look at this way, if you aren't up to a safe standard for a mere 40 minutes, then you shouldn't be allowed to be on the roads. The test is designed to show you're competent enough to be let loose on the world. If it goes wrong, it goes wrong. You're still a danger to yourself and others. View it like that and it doesn't matter if you fail.
That depends whether it was 800 miles of shit riding. You'd do well to take a few lessons at a riding school to iron out bad habits. I had quite a few.
+KingLies Thanks your videos have been a great help unfortunately I messed up on 2 roundabouts so gutted. Basically the first one was during independent riding I forget which way to go at the mini roundabout so instead of going clockwise after the examiner reminded me I went straight through and the second fault was on a roundabout examiner said go right second exit I stayed in the left lane. Retake test is a month away and on my birthday. I got to do it!
+KingLies I had my second attempt today and i finally passed. Now hopefully more beautiful weather comes our way even though I've been riding in every weather. Looking forward to my first big bike.
Supposed to give way to the bus when it indicated to move out. Lucky there haha examiner probably didnt see this as the other bus behind was at an angle
At 4:11 when he must of said pull over in a safe place you parked in front of someones drive kerb drop. i Know its very minor but it bugs me as i got the only minor of my driving test due to that. Rules might be different i guess for bikes or my examiner was looking for anything at all as i did have the perfect drive.
Very true. I suppose it depends on the examiner. As Ben said, it probably didn't matter as much because the bike wasn't left unattended, but my instructor told me not to do this in case the examiner decides to mark you down for it.
That would be the angled start from behind a parked vehicle. Often an examiner will explain to 'ignore the driveway, dropped kerb or double yellows' as there will be no time during test to find a spot with a parked vehicle when those conditions don't exist. All other times they'll expect no road markings, raised kerb.
I'm surprised you didn't get any minors for the missed shoulder checks. That's something I've been worried about because if I get just 5 minors for shoulder checks it's a serious.
Whens yours? Did you pass? Got my mod 2 on Friday, and got an MT-07 waiting to be picked up. I passed my mod 1 on Wed. Pray I get through this one first time too.... Cross your fingers! Good luck for yours buddy.
I know it's a 3 year later reply but when I did my car test my instructor told me to pull over in a housing estate, as I did i noticed i was over someone's drive so moved forward and i got a minor for it. Even though I was actually right(his words)
Not sure I would be able to ride like that, straight through a pedestrian crossing, not giving way to other cars or riding defensively. When I am driving I have to anticipate someone could open their car door or walk out into the road, odd you don't seem to take precautions, just full out aggressive riding, is that how I am supposed to ride for my mod 2? Otherwise thanks for the video :)
Nice vid, good job. I have my MOD 2 on Friday. One question though - I noticed on your first angle start you stopped next to a dropped kerb blocking a driveway, did you get any faults for that?
I'm from Nottingham too, I'm planning on taking my half bike license (A2) how hard would you say it is as I'm currently riding a (A1) Motorcycle and as you know the CBT is pretty easy. How would you class the (A2) Modules as for an experienced rider as I've been on the road since 17 now on my 125 which is a pretty powerful 125 and I've learned a lot of road signs and been in a lot of scenarios I've had to use my experience towards avoiding an accident
I passed my Module 1 yesterday with one minor for a small skid on the emergency stop while it was pouring it down with rain. I am confident to take on the Module 2 but I don't feel I need as much lessons as my instructor is saying so, he's basically saying I need 2 x 2 hour sessions as well as £60 for bike hire and the test fee on top of that, I only feel I need a brief 2 hour session as I know all of the procedures in turning, pulling off etc. And everyday day to day riding abilities such as making sure you're always using them lifesavers, following road signs and just generally looking ahead? I don't know what to do at this stage do you go with who I'm already with and been trained by or do I ask around for a cheaper quote?
I've ridden a 125 for the past year and a half all day every day, and I'm doing my mod 2 tomorrow. I would say take the 4 hours. I did 3 1/2 and its so different having someone directly behind you the whole way giving you directions. Don't skimp on your lessons, if you do the first 2 hours and both you and your instructor are happy, then go for it, but if there's the slightest doubt, do another 2. Happy riding! :)
Do CBT, ride 6months, book A1 test, pass...no L plates, can carry a passenger, get more experience...get few lessons on bigger bike, pass A, get advanced training. Most of the cases it's a hobby thing-needs time, patience and money.
My test cancelled because of corona virus. I am waiting for a new test day but can't reach my driving school. Can I take mod 2 test with my own bike? (I have a car lisence as well)
Do the DSA guys follow you in a car? I had the impression it was on a bike, I guess you can't tick boxes/make notes whilst riding. I'm doing my MOD 2 on a HONDA NC750, do you need to remember the route or do they give you instructions over the radio? Thanks and well done. I'm naturally a good rider having ridden various 125's since 2006 and developed a lot of awareness skills and good riding behaviour.
+KingLies I passed with just 2 minors on cutting corners in a bend. And I was followed in a car by one of the worst instructors in the test centre. To be honest the bike was so easy to ride I knew I would pass as long as I didn't miss anything.
Practice is the key.after 10 times doing the same movements mod 1 is easy. Mod 2 - just do not speed ( 600cc can go 200 kh/h and you have to ride it 50 hard😉. My advice just take it slow. Too slow is better than too fast.
RST Pro Series Ventilator III. I don't wear this one anymore. I used to wear it in summer as it's very light, but I wear a more waterproof version now. I also have a leather jacket, but I recently went vegan so probably won't wear it anymore. :(
Wow you were lucky to pass that. Failed to indicate on right turn mini-roundabout. Failed left shoulder checks at least 3 times including when pulling into parking space at end of test (which you also failed to indicate left for BTW). Broke speed limit 5 - 7 times, never once indicated when pulling out past parked cars even when oncoming traffic, failed shoulder checks on several position changes, pulled out into outside lane but never moved to pass then returned to left lane, very few mirror checks while moving.. lol lucky boy! :)
What on earth are you babbling about? I didn't fail to indicate on the right turn mini-roundabout because the only other exit is a no entry bus lane. There's no need for a shoulder check right at the end because I already have full vision on the approach and there's nobody there. I can't comment on your other nonsense because you don't give me any time-stamps for "failed shoulder checks on several position changes" or "broke speed limit 5-7 times" so it's most likely waffle, and I'm not watching the whole video again just to prove you wrong.
You don't need to indicate when going around parked cars - not even in the car test, either. You only have to indicate when going around moving vehicles IE: overtaking. All you need to do is mirror, shoulder check and take position nice and early.
I know! I wasn't going to upload it, but I had a lot of requests for it. The sad part was realizing I hadn't attached my mic to hear his commands coming through the radio. So I basically had this pointless video of me riding around.. But oh well, some people are getting some use out of it.
yes you constantly do that when you ride especially during the winter. i know a guy who only has one arm and he is legally allowed to ride his motorbike.
I've been riding a 125 just over a month now. Had CBT for two months and I have my mod 1 test tomorrow. Just book them whenever you feel ready and confident enough.
I've heard the pass rate is much higher if the examiner is in a car rather than a bike because they themselves have more to focus on when in a car than on a bike.
i would say the opposite. On bike you have to concentrate way more. I think the people in cars probably dont know how to ride so they just look out for shoulder checks and so on.
I've been riding a 125cc for two years now, still on L plates, wanting to upgrade to A2. I'm very confident on it now. Could pass my module 1 and 2 without paying a lot for training?
How old are you mate? I'd say wait until you're 24 and just do the big bike test. I have another video about getting into motorcycling if you want to watch that, might be helpful.
@@muhammadabdullah03 Yeah, I'm 24 now, probably gonna aim to get my full license when the test centres re-open. Kinda glad I stuck with the 125 until now lol
Hmmm I really should do this soon I've been riding a 125 for coming up to 4 years now, think I would piss these tests the only thing with me is any test at all and I get really nervous.
You can use your own if you can get it there but they will always have bikes for you. You should ask the centre you will go to really, you might save some money if you take yours but you must have insurance and everything.
There's a full breakdown of costs at what age and what licenses you get on my other video: Want to learn how to ride a motorcycle but don't know where to start? (Or words to that effect)
+GUNCHESTERman but if I have my own bike. would I need to ride on L plate. I'm not talking g about the 125cc. I want a restricted bandit. can I ride that without the license?
You can't ride anything over a 125 without anything higher than an A2 license. I'm not 100 percent certain on how it works if you want to use your own bike for the test, but I'm guessing they'd let you ride it on that day only for test purposes.
Obvious question! Can you record your test with a helmet cam? My instructor says NO, he didn’t even allow me to record training with him with my helmet cam!

Thanks for the video mate I've had my share of contract work ups and downs I hope you get your bike sorted also
Cheers :)
+lee spender Thanks. :)
Well done for passing, but your first stop was blocking a driveway where you stopped across a dropped kerb. That’s not allowed in the Highway Code so I’m surprised that wasn’t picked up, lucky you! 🍀
Going for both mods next month, well done buddy!
" I wonder how someone with one arm would be able to do that Mod1"
A joke I hope xdddd
I would assume that they would need to ride a trike and would be under a different license category.
Nice one! I'm doing my DAS now and I've been taken through these routes a few times. Nerve racking stuff!
+ramsy66 MOD 1 is worse than MOD 2. This test was a breeze.
Even for someone with limited road experience? I've been more worried about the mod 2 because there's so much more than can go wrong.
KingLies I've got 800 miles of experience on a 125 and I'm not dead yet so do I have a reasonable chance to pass?
That depends whether it was 800 miles of shit riding. You'd do well to take a few lessons at a riding school to iron out bad habits. I had quite a few.
Great video. Thanks for uploading. Dont feel so nervous now
Great clip, It was like I was riding the bike too, very well done on you pass too....
Probably the main thing is to say: dont forget your shoulder checks when you are about to change direction.
Had my mod 2 training yesterday learnt quite alot. Just make sure I go for it tomorrow without hesitation.
You'll be fine. If not, just retake the test. Takes a lot of pressure off putting it like that.
That's the spirit! Get some more lessons in and tell them you want to practice direction taking and roundabouts!
+KingLies I had my second attempt today and i finally passed. Now hopefully more beautiful weather comes our way even though I've been riding in every weather. Looking forward to my first big bike.
Nice. You done your MOD 2?
thanks for the vid it really helps. good luck for the future
That bastard bus! I dread something like that happening to me on my test! Good job and congrats, great riding :-)
Bus?
Yeah 16:30mins into the clip, the fecker just pulls out behind the other bus
Ha ha, it's no issue to me. I was riding for nearly 2 years before I did the test so I had a bit of an advantage.
Supposed to give way to the bus when it indicated to move out. Lucky there haha examiner probably didnt see this as the other bus behind was at an angle
Nice ride, passed my mod2 a week ago with 1 minor, 22 in a 20 zone.😅😅
I am a little confused the title says new rules 2022 but the comments are from 3 to 6 year's ago
That was a long ride for a test. I was waiting for you to ride past my house. And I'm in Bristol 😊
This is Nottingham not Bristol....
@@fijiarc2090 I think he was taking the piss 😂
Definitely good video would definitely help noise is a bit of a pain in the arse with the wind on the microphone
All done, I passed my Module 2 with only two minors☝️
Well done mate I done mine 4 months ago. Full cat A. Loving my ninja. Safe riding bro. And use them eyes.
well done and thanks for upload
Those gloves are like welding gauntlets :)
Just passed Mod 2, thanks for the vid :)
Cheers for that video !
That school has a plane in the field ?? !! 5:06
A helicopter. Schools often arrange days where army or paramedic or whatever does a demonstration
Ivan G-S its for the rich students
Awesome congratulations. Question is the indicators buzzer on the suzuki standard or added accessory
Congratulations great video
CBT 🤘🏽
Theory 🤘🏽
Mod 1 🤘🏽
Mod 2 12th
Nice mate mines the 4th and there's thunder and/or lightning scheduled on that day! 😬🌩️
Haha just found this comment revising for my next licence. 1.5yrs later A2 mod2 tomorrow. 💪
I'm surprised you didn't get any minors for the missed shoulder checks. That's something I've been worried about because if I get just 5 minors for shoulder checks it's a serious.
What missed shoulder checks?
KingLies There were a few were you made position changes without checking your shoulder.
Yeah, where? Because my examiner didn't spot them so I'm guessing they weren't technically position changes.
Sorry to hear it buddy.
Whens yours? Did you pass? Got my mod 2 on Friday, and got an MT-07 waiting to be picked up. I passed my mod 1 on Wed. Pray I get through this one first time too.... Cross your fingers! Good luck for yours buddy.
ha u forgot the mic ok. still a good video. just mainly fundamentals right?
Great video - thank you. One question.....which bit is the independent ride?
4:07 pulling up infront of a drive way, is this ok??
My thoughts to, doing my mod 2 test tomorrow, and in training they said not infront of a drive, on double yellows or opposite a firestation
@@pingopete or opposite a junction.
I know it's a 3 year later reply but when I did my car test my instructor told me to pull over in a housing estate, as I did i noticed i was over someone's drive so moved forward and i got a minor for it. Even though I was actually right(his words)
Sometimes the examiner will say ignore the driveways, if in an area littered with them.
well done mate
Good ride well done.
I enjoyed my mod 2 way more than the mod1 was shitting myself and it was a hot day 😂😂😂
Not sure I would be able to ride like that, straight through a pedestrian crossing, not giving way to other cars or riding defensively. When I am driving I have to anticipate someone could open their car door or walk out into the road, odd you don't seem to take precautions, just full out aggressive riding, is that how I am supposed to ride for my mod 2? Otherwise thanks for the video :)
That bus was pulling out when you over took it 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Nice vid, good job. I have my MOD 2 on Friday. One question though - I noticed on your first angle start you stopped next to a dropped kerb blocking a driveway, did you get any faults for that?
Foxy Stoat yeah, it's a minor, esp if there's a car in the driveway.
I hope you get soon back on your feet :-)
I'm from Nottingham too, I'm planning on taking my half bike license (A2) how hard would you say it is as I'm currently riding a (A1) Motorcycle and as you know the CBT is pretty easy. How would you class the (A2) Modules as for an experienced rider as I've been on the road since 17 now on my 125 which is a pretty powerful 125 and I've learned a lot of road signs and been in a lot of scenarios I've had to use my experience towards avoiding an accident
A1 license is exactly the same as A2, except on an A2 you do your test on a bigger engine size.
Thank you!
thank you for sharing. I have my mod 1 and mod 2 this week coming up. any hints lol
Practice.
Passed MOD 1 with 1 minor. MOD 2 Friday :D
MOD 1 and MOD 2 is on the same day right? xD just wondering... It must be right?
Mod 1 on a Friday then mod 2 is booked a week or 2 weeks later in case you fail mod 1
Ahh Ok thanks :)
(I have a car lisence as well)
Is the radio 2 way and where do you put the radio in your Jacket pocket thanks for posting
It's a small headset, one-way, that goes inside your helmet. It might have had a unit with a battery on it, that bit just goes in your pocket yeah.
I actually own an NC700 now. Fantastic bike, you'll pass no problem. They give you instructions via one way radio.
+KingLies I passed with just 2 minors on cutting corners in a bend. And I was followed in a car by one of the worst instructors in the test centre. To be honest the bike was so easy to ride I knew I would pass as long as I didn't miss anything.
KingLies
Practice is the key.after 10 times doing the same movements mod 1 is easy.
Mod 2 - just do not speed ( 600cc can go 200 kh/h and you have to ride it 50 hard😉. My advice just take it slow. Too slow is better than too fast.
Congrats but on several occasions you missed your life saver shoulder check on the roundabout.
Timestamps or it didn't happen.
xD
Going to book my test soon which company in Nottingham did you pick ??
Roadcraft Nottingham.
Thanks 👍
Is this full Cat A bike license or 125 and below?
5:59 how did you not get a minor for not indicating right as you pulled away?
Whats that jacket your wearing? I have been looking for a black and white one like that
RST Pro Series Ventilator III.
All you need to do is mirror, shoulder check and take position nice and early.
this was seriously so boring to watch! But its legit helpful, im glued to watching it. God give me strength i need to pass ahaha
I know! I wasn't going to upload it, but I had a lot of requests for it. The sad part was realizing I hadn't attached my mic to hear his commands coming through the radio. So I basically had this pointless video of me riding around.. But oh well, some people are getting some use out of it.
7:48 When you used your hand to close the helmet visor... Is that aloud while driving???
yes you constantly do that when you ride especially during the winter.
i know a guy who only has one arm and he is legally allowed to ride his motorbike.
Just about to do my CBT, how long were you riding before going for mod 1&2?
Me personally, a year. But you don't need that long. You can just take lessons and pass. I wanted some road experience as I don't have a car license.
KingLies alright, thanks.
I've been driving a car for 6 years so I may just have 6 months on the 125 to get the feel of it then go for mods
Well done mate!!
Was the instructor following you in a car?
Yes.
got my mod 2 in a few days and a little nervous. when taking an exit of a roundabout do i do a left or right shoulder check?
Both. Left shoulder as you navigate and a right shoulder before you exit.
Passed yesterday mod2 , two hours later I was riding my Sportster S 1250cc 😂 wet road condition, 😂
I waited till I was 24 years old before driving and learning to ride a motorcycle.
@@muhammadabdullah03 Yeah, I'm 24 now, probably gonna aim to get my full license when the test centres re-open. Kinda glad I stuck with the 125 until now lol
Hmmm I really should do this soon I've been riding a 125 for coming up to 4 years now, think I would piss these tests the only thing with me is any test at all and I get really nervous.
same here mate
was that the bike examiner in a car :) my God.... :) haha...
Hard to tick boxes on paper whilst riding a motorcycle... !
do you get given the bikes or do you bring your own
You can use your own if you can get it there but they will always have bikes for you. You should ask the centre you will go to really, you might save some money if you take yours but you must have insurance and everything.
you are a bit late on checking the crossings, but, yes, you are driving oke. you deserve your licence
This is the A2 test right? How much did it end up costing altogether, and how long did it take? I'm thinking of doing mine when I turn 19 next year.
There's a full breakdown of costs at what age and what licenses you get on my other video: Want to learn how to ride a motorcycle but don't know where to start? (Or words to that effect)
Hugh slightly strange nothing on motorway enterence? And instructor in a car?
I need to do my A2 test. Does the test centre provide the bike for Mod 1 & 2?
+GUNCHESTERman but if I have my own bike. would I need to ride on L plate. I'm not talking g about the 125cc. I want a restricted bandit. can I ride that without the license?
You can't ride anything over a 125 without anything higher than an A2 license.
I'm not 100 percent certain on how it works if you want to use your own bike for the test, but I'm guessing they'd let you ride it on that day only for test purposes.
Are mod 1 and 2 same for a1 and a2 license?
If you don't mind me asking, where did the instructor ask you to go during your free ride?
Obvious question! Can you record your test with a helmet cam?
My instructor says NO, he didn’t even allow me to record training with him with my helmet cam!
How many cc of your motorbike? look big
600
