  • Short video of how to replace belts on the 1FZFE 80s series.
    Once you have loosened the two rod bolts at the alternator and under the aircon compressor as shown in the vid (they very slowly loosen and tighten due to the long bolt)you will have enough slack to remove the belts. Really easy.
    In fact you don't even need to remove the fan you can just slowly work the belt over the fan blades and onto the pulleys before tightening up those rod bolts i just explained.

    Theres also a pivot bolt in the top left corner when looking at the front of the alt. This needs to come out

    Can't say I've seen the alternator replacement in a vid but would be very simple , loosen the bolt in the belts video above then the centre bolt at the front of the alternator would need to come out , of course disconnect the wiring

    Did you ever replace wheel hub beatings on this vehicle ?

    There's a hole in the bash plate specifically to access that pulley

    Also I have a problem with my steering, got a big play on a steering wheel, do you know what could be a problem ?

      Tie rod ends need to be replaced

      Bit late but yeah check tie rods but also look at adjusting power steering pump. Theirs an adjustment valve on the top that can be turned to adjust play and can be done in 10min
