    Can it be possible that some are so powerful in the Force and doesn't know they're using the Force, and thought it was just pure sorcery or believe they're gods? That's why Han Solo said he saw a lot of weird stuff and doesn't believe in the Force. Perhaps he saw the Force at work but never labeled it as the Force?

      kinda, the nightsisters were aware that their "magic" was a different way to use the force, surely there were other cultures/religions that knew that they were using the force in some form, but others might not know they were using the force, they only knew they were using some sort of power

    It the argument of nature vs nurture, and usually those that fall to natural instincts tend to fall to the Dark Side, and those allow their nurturing to change them for the better tend to be in the Light Side.

    • @LiftandCoa
      @LiftandCoa 2 місяці тому

      If a race has no (or only a handful) dark siders/light sides of the the course of star wars "history" then that's a clear indication for nature as well.
      Basically these species that can't stray away from their normal path (light or dark side affiniteit) make a pretty strong argument that nurture is significantly less important in the SW universe than it it is our own.
      And I dont think nuture is more important for the light side/makes people more inclined to be a light sider as you can very easily nuture someone into becomeing a ruthless psycho.

    Ya, if I'm not mistaken, most herd/group oriented species were inclined to be more light sided. Humans are sort of a middle ground, as while we do usually like being in groups, some are much more of a lone wolf situation.

    • @Mephilis78
      @Mephilis78 2 роки тому +1

      But, again, this falls under the same principle as "not all sith were inherently strong in the dark side". The amount of actual lone wolves in the human species is actually pretty small. Most people who like to characterize themselves as lone wolves are still in their own social groups trying to gain status in one way or another, just like anyone else, rather than literally not caring about such things.

      Given that the Rule of Two grew beyond both Korriban and the Sith species, not much IMHO.
      The Jedi would probably keep an eye on them because of the tremendous imbalance that the Force was finding itself in, causing them to be suspicious of the species that originated the most devastating dark sided empires in galactic history.
      However, they would not find anything of value, and would probably come to blame the war and Count Dooku for the darkening of the Force.
      Sidious' plans advance unnoticed and eventually everything happens exactly as it happened in the main continuity.

      If you're talking about the Dark Jedi who fought Leia, Beldorion, he mostly used Force storms and telekinesis.
      Some Force users are better in the use of the lightsaber (Maul, for example), other in manipulating the Force (I guess Sidious would qualify).
      But interestingly, in addition to that, Beldorion used the Force to mantain a muscular form.
      In other words, the Force was his steroids.

    Because my main in SWtOR is a Light Side Jedi Guardian, I most definitely know about how possible it is for a Sith Pureblood to turn to the Light Side... I mean just look at Praven... despite being a Sith Pureblood trained by Darth Angral and entrusted with Darth Angral's son as his own apprentice, he nevertheless had a personal code of honour that had more in common with the Jedi than the Sith, which made it possible for him to accept Jedi mercy and be accepted as a Padawan of the Jedi Order who even participated in the effort to liberate Correlia from the Imperial occupation.
    In spite of his heritage and in spite of his upbringing, Praven somehow managed to develop into a good person.
    At the same time, within the same Jedi Knight storyline in SWtOR, we see a Kel'dor... Tol Braga fall to the Dark Side. Despite the inclination his species has toward the Light Side, he still nevertheless fell to the Dark Side when despite his many victories and even converting a member of the Dark Council to the Light Side, he was unable to handle the failure of his mission to turn the Sith Emperor Vitiate to the Light and lost faith... pretty much because he had never faced failure before that point. Of course, whether or not he returned to the Light Side in the end is completely unknown because the Star Cabal saw to his demise regardless.

    • @HouseOfAlastrian
      @HouseOfAlastrian 3 роки тому +1

      @@holeeshi9959 well unlike Praven, Scourge still draws upon the Dark Side, despite him acting in the interests of the greater good of the galaxy and despite vowing personal loyalty to the Jedi Knight when he and Kira Carsen return during the Onslaught story arc.
      In fact the contempt he has for the Servants of the Emperor derives from the Sith Code... specifically the part about breaking one's chains. For the Servants to be pledging their undying loyalty to the Emperor and to be the mindless instruments of his will goes against the Sith Code, because Passion bestows Strength, which bestows Power, which bestows Victory, which breaks one's chains and frees them.
      Of course, that is ultimately why the Sith are always doomed to turn against each other. Because every fellow Sith that is close to, equal or stronger is another set of chains to be broken.

    When it comes to Sith Purebloods/the Sith Species, we can see that although they were in a way “barbaric” the architecture, religious background and their caste system did result in them having a sort of honour code. Morality, might made right, but justice and honour was upheld highly, particularly amongst the Kissai and Massassi Caste. This is seen and further highlighted with King Adas, the 300 year old Kissai and the first Sith’ari, he was the unifier of all the tribes. He unified the Sith people and all the clans against the Rakatans, who shared their technology in a way to manipulate the Sith species into a pseudo slavery. During Adas’ reign, its referenced in the comics that even being over 200 years old (4 times the age of the normal Sith) he created a blood soup from the aspiring warriors who challenged him to the right to rule. We can infer and it’s said in the comics that a blood soup was done specifically to honour those who had fallen. We get another instance of “goodness” when it comes to the last king of the Sith, Hakagram Graush, who again unified the Sith people against his Father, Dathka Graush, who used his force necromancy to create an army of the dead to literally force the fragmented tribes under his rule.
    It wasn’t until the arrival of the Jen’Ari, the Dark Jedi, that the concept of “light and dark” was introduced to Sith Species.
    So taking this all into consideration, although the Sith species as a whole were inclined to the dark side, it makes me believe that light siders in that species would have been more common (but still a major minority) than first thought, and provided the individual had the mental, physical or social strength to defend themselves either by blade or by proxy, then none would have taken too much issue with that.
    It’s also mentioned in the book of Sith, that although the Sith species were dark sided, that their delving into dark side abilities did not match that Ajunta Pall, or Sorzus Syn. Which again tells me that yes, inclined to the dark side; but not consumed by it.
    It was only after exterior influence and their culture was tainted by outside factors, that the Sith species became the wanna be edgelords that we know them as now.
    Also we don’t actually know where the separate Sith species came from. We know the primary three, Massassi, Zuguruk and Kissai all had unique aspects. Which if we look at human society, it’ll be similar to Neanderthal becoming the “warrior class” due to their hulking figures and stronger bodies, Homo sapiens becoming the Zuguruk due to their increased dexterity and intelligence, and Homo Erectus becoming the Kissai due to their middle ground between the two prior species.
    I personally think this is more the case because the e Zuguruk had 4 fingers, the massassi didn’t grow hair and instead grew additional tendrils and bone Spurs, longer more feline ears, sharper teeth, and like their smaller, but more intelligent cousins the Kissai, had only 3 fingers and a thumb on their hands. Which evolutionarily speaking, would have taken millions of years just for that minor adjustment to come through.

    What would be VERY interesting would be the species EXCEPTIONs to the normal "rules" like that 1 Sith species member that is NATURALLY more aligned to the Light Side and tended to be alot more good or neutrals then evil.. I mean we DO KNOW that there WAS a Hutt Jedi so they clearly wouldnt have been greedy. Or say the 1 member of whatever Yoda is that decided to be evil instead. Especially that one truly Ithorian that just wasn't only a socio but probably even a violent psychopath.

Either explanation could account for Gran working as thugs without visible hesitancy. Though a Disney rewrite is still possible without combing through sources looking for where this comes from.

      My old high school friend's nickname was 'geet' so when I was making the channel name around 5 years ago, the name 'geetsly's' just randomly popped into my mind from his nickname and stayed ever since.

    *sees description notes* Roger. Proceeding to manipulate and destroy the Sith so for Darth Bane to rise... and for the obsolete Old Republic and Old Jedi Order to live out the last millennia of their increasingly worthless lives.
    In the meantime, may the galaxy be strengthened with the Empire's reign, the resultant New Republic that will replace it, and, of course, the founding of a New Jedi Order.

    In Legends there was only one single race, I cant remember which one now but they were virtually humanoid with pale skin and i think white haired, that were highly force sensitive and could only become Jedi.
    They were a naturally benevolent and caring race and had no concept of the Darkside at all. They were immune to it because they just couldn't fathom how or why anyone would want to even go down that path or do those things. Their concept in understanding of being cruel, jealous, snide or vindictive was absolute ZERO.
