    I do have this question would you say the p2 is like 3-4 times louder then the s1? I just got mine and it’s like wow what is going on. Fan noise is the issue and that dam fish tank air pump. It’s so bad it rattling the case and making it even worse.

      Maybe twice, I don't pay it a lot of attention though. I usually have multiple machines going. The rattle is a bit annoying..

    Would it be possible to try some cuts of the acrylic on the S1? So we know what would work and what wouldn’t.

      Black acrylic is about the only dependable acrylic for the blue lasers. You can cut others but the results aren't great.

    Thank you for showing on each of the types of acrylic. We really appreciate your time and trials.

    Really educational video, but curious as to why you would set the thickness to 4mm when you know it's 3mm - what's the advantage of that?

      Not sure exactly where you are talking about but usually, I raise the focus when engraving. It helps to get the look that I like.

      @@TheClackShack thanks or the quick reply, my comment was in regards to the bit at the 11:40 mark with the sparkly acrylic

      @@Drestudios not sure but 1 mm shouldn’t make much difference…

    HINT: To draw a perfect circle every time, hold the shift key on your keyboard while drawing circle 😉

    That camera means you don't really need to frame, so forcing you to physically press a button on the machine doesn't make sense. It's a good machine overall, though.

      The button press is the one thing I would do away with for sure..

      It keeps you from starting burns remotely and not being there to observe, at least initially. I agree that it's annoying, but I can see why they might do it. Remember, there are a lot of stupid people out there, and lasers can create fires pretty easily.

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  7 місяців тому +1

      @@DavZell I understand why they do it but also do not think this could be a negative to people like myself who do not need safety to be regulated by others. A simple software override with a warning would cover them from the liability.

    I am trying to trace a shape on XCS to cut out acrylic earring pieces, but the trace gives me a double line. Is there any way of just having 1 cut line? Thanks

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  7 місяців тому

      You should be able to ungroup and delete the line. This isn’t always the case but maybe it will work.
