I don’t know if this is good to do or not, but I never use my broiler so when I made some screen printed tote bags, I put them in my broiler to cure them and it seemed to work. This was after they were completely air dried. Maybe it’s a bad idea. I don’t know, but it worked for me.

*I WANT THAT!!* I absolutely love this video! You've really piqued my interest with the screen printer-what an incredible piece of equipment! As someone who became partially paralysed 10 years ago, my career in sports photography had to take a backseat. But, in the meantime, between surgeries and adapting to new challenges, I've been slowly building a home studio equipped with lasers and 3D printers. My goal is to create a thriving home business, even from my wheelchair, to show my daughter that we don't give up when the chips are down. Creating personalised packaging would be the perfect addition to the specialist baby-scan products I make for expectant mothers, as well as for those who have faced the heartbreak of loss. I combine my photography and editing skills with my personal experiences-both grief and the joy of a rainbow baby-to create beautifully engineered pieces that offer a sense of permanence, something that hospital photos often can't provide. I truly admire the time and effort you've invested in our community, and I’m grateful for your attention to equipment that considers real-life circumstances. Space and income are precious, and it’s clear that you understand that. I would love to be considered for the screen printing kit, as it would be a wonderful addition to my work. But if not, it’s definitely something I’ll have to ask Santa for in a couple of years! Best of luck with everything you're doing-I'm excited to explore more of your content as a new subscriber! 😁😁

Never thought that you can just use your laser engraver to make the screen, so thanks. An advice for better and much cleaner results for the cutting process is to use a more powerfull air compressor with the laser engraver. It´s more noisy but worths it. Love the content. Keep creating. Cheers!
I want that. Would be fantastic to get into screen printing, love your clocks and the sentiment really touched my heart. Being disabled I am always thinking about time and what I may need to give up in the future. Screen printers seem to be very friendly in terms of ability.
"I want that"! It would make a great compliment to my new S1. This vid lead my mind into an array of product ideas far away from standard t-shirts. Thanks, really enjoying your content!
I want that!!! I have been looking at the x-tool screen printing kit. I have the m-1. I also recently bought a homemade screen printing press but it costs $65 and a week to get screens made locally so I haven’t really gotten into it much other making fake screens with cut vinyl designs. I love that you showed recharging the screen! I want to be able to make real screens in house when inspiration strikes and then be able to make adjustments. I also love that you picked a project that mixed both laser cutting and screen printing. That’s the kind of projects I like to take on. I have also been inspired by ur take on business lately. Lots of good stuff. Keep it coming
a week to get the screens made? one, fucking, week? man you can do that at home in an hour. you need a few things that will cost less than 65$ combined: 1- a screen 2- emulsion 3- emulsion coater 4- a suitcase 5- a table lamp 6- two lightbulbs (one of which emits UV light, the other one doesn't) 7- blow dryer 8- film positive of the design (if you have no film positives, just print on a normal a4 paper and coat the a4 paper with sunflower oil) 9- an a3 sized piece of black cardstock and a piece of foam sheet 10- 200 sqft space including a bathroom and a bath hose (I use my 50 sqft bathroom and not a single sqin of additional space) steps: 1- put in the non-UV emitting lightbulb into the table lamp, light it up and close all of the other lights 2- coat the screen with emulsion 3- with the bottom side down, blow dry the emulsion until it no longer feels sticky 4- (optional) if you're going to store the screen with the emulsion coating until when you'll burn it, put it in the suitcase 5- put the cardstock on top of the foam sheet 6- put the emulsion coated screen on the cardstock, bottom up 7- flip the film positive horizontally and put it on the bottom of the emulsion coated screen 8- replace the bulb in the table lamp, put in the UV emitting light bulb 9- expose the screen for some time. you can experiment with the exact time of exposure, but I had zero problems after vastly overexposing my own emulsion (longer than 10 minutes for an emulsion with an optimal exposure time of 4 minutes), so you can be pretty liberal with it. 10- wash the screen to remove unexposed emulsion The whole shebang takes less than one hour and costs less than 65$ to set up. After the setup cost, cost per screen is will maybe go up to 2 dollars (even if you vastly overestimate water and electricity).
I want that! LOL 😆 I'm a newbie and I'm looking forward to purchasing the XTool screen printing as soon as possible. Thank you for your video. It was very informative.
Thank you for saying that, but truly I am blown away that people would want to hear me nerd out about these things and watch til the end. It’s people like you that make all of this possible. Sadly this give away did end but I am giving away a laser in my latest video if you would like to join in.
I have seen some avocado of yours videos, I had thought on getting a creality falcon 2 as laser cutter starting point since I live in a flat/apartment, and there was once a few years back I though on getting one of those machines to print some custom t-shirts(mainly drift/car related/inspired) but I wasn't ready to open shop yet, since I don't have lots of income and machines are expensive and take space(that I also don't have much), then life happened and after my stroke episode last year(at 33yo) and my head changed, all I can think is to who wins that please use it to make a profit and give back in some other way later to someone. I watch your videos from time to time and is always really entertaining to watch, thank you for that.
I want that. Love the break away effect on the clock, really makes it stand out. I've used some UV exposure wash out films before and it is a time consuming process. This looks a lot easier.
Thank you! Yes the UV exposure part is the main thing that kept me away from screen printing. I am so happy to have it in my toolbelt now can have a print production going in under 1 hour.
I want that, I've always wantes to do screen printing but the multi color units require a house of their own, that little monster looks amazing. Side note: I've always told people I can always make money I cannot make time, time is the only currency I take stock in.
I WANT THAT!!! I never realized the versatility of screenprinting. I have tried it in the past with just one screen and it just became too much in creating the screen. Instead of burning the screen, I used vinyl and added the paint to the negative space. This seems simpler.
Yes to me this way of doing it just makes sense, all the other ways just seemed like too much for me. Thanks for watching til the end you are entered to win.
Chad. Just found your channel. It is great. As a former educator myself, I can totally feel and appreciate your background in your videos. Keep up the fantastic work.
I want that! actually was looking at getting the s1 because its upgradable and has the option of the screen printer I was wondering if it could be used on other projects besides shirts so really great seeing it work on your clocks.
The S1 is great still my top recommendation for someone gettting into lasers. Thank you for watching sadly this giveaway has already ended, but I am giving away a 10w laser if you would like to join in the details are on my last video.
I WANT THAT!!! I'm interested in trying screen printing, but I find it difficult. This kit makes screen printing easy and allows me to create beautiful prints effortlessly.

I want that!!! Idk if it’s still going on. As a disabled vet on a fixed income. 1) I really need a hobby and 2) this would be amazing for my wife and I to do together 3) this would be great for my wife to expand her Etsy business.

I want that! (Have never been able to say correctly after Bobby Duke - LOL) You do a lot of fun projects and we just heard about this screen printer yesterday for the first time! The wife and I both are contemplating to go with the XTool S1 40W. We were planning to start an Etsy store but we are seeing A LOT of issues with their lack of commitment to sellers and their use of unmitigated shop closures with little to no recourse. Well, we actually have an Etsy shop, but haven't populated it yet. Perhaps Shopify is a better option... Great vid!

@@ChadsCustomCreations Thank you for the heads up, Chad. Already watched your video. It's an amazing build. Hope it lasts very long so you and your family can make long lasting memories!
I absolutely love the optimism you have with what Levi did. It is freaky with how much he looks just like you. Chad for real, is that a picture of you when you were his age? I can't tell 😳. Totally sharing this video with a coworker that has a wife that uses a popular device for making shirts. Great video and editing. I love the personal aspects of the video with the family❤
Thank you sis! Yes that is actually an old picture of me, I used some crazy AI filter to raise the resolution it’s crazy how it took it from fuzzy to that. Thank you for sharing! Glad you liked it I probably spent over 100 hours editing this one 😅
@@ChadsCustomCreations lol that is a big reason why we have not made more videos. That and our video editor could not handle our new camera footage and such. Very cool!
This is really cool. But I would recommend you to please rinse the screen inside the tub or a designated sink. Artist have large basin sinks that are meant to get dirty. I suggest this due to you sounding like you would be doing this prolonged. I'm not sure of what exactly is in the inks. However, the amount that you would be dumping long term would affect your yard, possibly your ground water if you have a well, and it can affect the marine life if washes into nearby water sources over time. At least if your house is connected to the grid then the inks should get treated. Plus if someone were to report you, you could be fined especially if its a business. Of course you are open to disregard this concern, it's just a suggestion. Besides that awesome video and I didn't even know that this screen printing method or company existed.
That is a great point and I am shocked I didn't think of that especially since I am trying to grow some grass in the front yard for the kids. I will come up with some kind of catchment system so the water can be properly treated thank you for your insight!
Hey, I'm (still) a teacher from Germany. I really appreciate your videos and have already taken away several suggestions. It (Germany) is probably too far away - if not: I WANT THAT
My first thought was this goes against the video you just put out about the Chick-fil-A method, but I like how you integrated it with a laserable product. I own a full service print shop in North Carolina and we now do Screenprinting. Not being a hater but this machine looks like the easy bake oven of screen printing. 😂 it looks like you could certainly make money with this machine but it has a lot of serious limitations. If you use a Dehazer you can get rid of the ghost image when you clean the screen. Careful! Screenprinting is a rabbit hole of buying new toys!
Yes that was definitely a consideration when I was pondering ideas with the screen printer. I definitely want to inspire and educate but at the same time I want to stay true to my beliefs in business. Great tip about the dehazer there are so many things it’s hard to keep track of what they all do. Thank you for watching my NC neighbor!
@@ChadsCustomCreations I thought I recognized a North Carolina accent. Where are you located? My shop is in Whiteville from from outside of Hickory originally.
@@smalltownink sorry I should have clarified I am in Middle GA, I just consider NC my neighbor and would love to live there so day as well almost never get snow down here. @@ChadsCustomCreations neighbors for sure! And thanks for checking out my channel. It is basically the journey of building my full service shop in a rural town. We have had a lot of fun doing it. I am hoping to hire a full time person eventually to handle just the screen printing side of the business. An employee suckered me into buying a manual press and all the ancillary equipment $7k total. I have since replaced the exposure unit, the conveyor dryer, the flashing unit, and bought automatic press. All of us went to a Screenprinting class with Texsource (they have classes in GA by the way) after we spectacularly failed trying to do it on our own. I would say you have a leg up on what we knew 18 months ago. I enjoy your channel!

I want that! I really hope Norman gets to stay! I Love the message and visual of the clock! I say daily that there is no dollar amount that can buy us more time on this planet!
I HAVE THAT! I don't think you need to be as careful as you were in regards of light. The emulsion's instruction tell you because professional screen printers need to expose them to UV light with a mask for the image to stay on. You burn off the mask with a laser, so you actually want it to cure before (as you did in the 2nd try). In fact it's a good idea to use an UV light (or the sun) to do so. Heath Sharp has a great video on "Reusing xTool Screen Printing Screens - Emulsioning an Xtool Screen".
That’s a great point I guess I was just worried it would start to cure while applying or make cleanup harder, but it seems pretty forgiving. Someone in the comments said we can skip the emulsion all together and use other masking materials also. I guess it would just come down to what can handle the inks and cleanup but still has its own remover spray like the IV sensitive resin like I used.
I want that! But i dont have a laser engraver. I am looking into laser cutting and trying to find someone local who can cut my product to see if it works, and then to sell enough so i can fund my own laser cutter. I have a 3d printer (sla) but no cutter as yet. Ive used screen prints before but with UV exposure, including making my own frame and screen once, to create my own tshirt at uni. Great videos and great idea for the clock, liking that it comes apart with the gies, which is so much better than a basic hexagonal clock. Good luck with your quest!!
I would love to be able to put my art on t-shirts but don't have money for laser or the kit. Good Luck to everyone that can use this and I hope I win the lotto soon so maybe I can start making my own stuff.
I WANT THAT! This Crafting Nerd thinks that would make a great addition to my hobbies! Thank you for the consideration and great video! Oh by the way when are you going to reveal the masked out goodies on your table. Smile ❤😊
@@ChadsCustomCreations Hi Chad, thank you, however I already have a 130 Watt laser machine 36x40 that works very well, but was hoping to try the Screen printing stuff, that looks promising with the laser side. I would love to be considered for the screen printing kit, as it would be a wonderful addition to my work. But if not, it’s definitely something I’ll have to ask Santa for in a couple of years! Best of luck with everything you're doing-I'm excited to explore more of your content as a new subscriber! 😁😁
What an inspirational life you are living, over coming those challenges is a true testament to your grit! I am sad to say this giveaway has ended but I have been hosting a new give away on each new video so keep up with my latest releases for your chances to win.
Thank you so much for such a compliment and letting me know about the status of the giveaway. I'm eager to see more and will share with some good pals who would benefit from your pearls of wisdom!
I want that! Thank you for this video as well as your others. You answered one of my main questions, about whether or not the screens were in fact reusable. It's good to know they are. Thank you again. You gained another SUBSCRIBER!
Glad it was helpful, thank you for the Sub Gregg I hope you don’t regret it 😉
I want that! I am just impatiently awaiting the arrival of my S1 20w + IR laser. It should land on my doorstep this week. I can't wait! I really want to try screenprinting too, because my 3 teens have been talking about creating their own clothing brand. Would be amazing to help them create some great stuff! I love your videos. I really like, that you are honest about the mistakes you make. And show us how to fix the errors. Makes my inner Steve Erkel wanna scream: "I can do that!" Thank you and greetings from Denmark
Great to hear from Denmark! Thanks for watching this giveaway has ended but I am running 2 giveaways in my latest video if you want to join in. ua-cam.com/video/UrS4kFBzo8I/v-deo.htmlsi=yA0ErvVr3ww4zjGl
I want that! I need that!
This is by far the best video, explaining the xtool screen printer...I am still on the fence on buying this,it's an $800 canadian investment...Great video & great job Chad.
Gerald, that is incredibly nice for you to say that. That is a hard pill to swallow. I am rooting for you to win!
I want that! I bought a diode laser a few months ago and have dabbled with a few ideas. My goal when buying it was to come up with one product to make to pay for it (in between all the other hobbies and work I must do.) Clocks are really cool and we all could use a little more time.
Great idea Mark! Sadly this giveaway has ended, but I am giving away another laser if you want to join in on that one in my latest video.

Wow, I sure do want that! Gonna buy that! Got to have that! I do some screen printing the hard way LOL and it hurts my back by the time I've gotten 10 done, with mistakes all to often. For an old Grandma it's not bad. But wow this set up is amazing.
It’s great if you can swing it I say go for it.
I want that! I did screen printing way back in MS. Haven't taught it though, this would be great for my High Schoolers to learn about and do. Keep it up Chad!
Oh yes this would be great for schools!
Brings back memories of my first job on leaving school. Sure we were all high as kites most days after work from all the chemicals used.
Hahaha I can only imagine 😂
I WANT THAT! 💖 I am desperately trying to enhance my current laser engraving business with new products in order to enable me to help pay of debt so my husband doesn't have to work 24/6 from 6:30 AM - 8:00 PM. Love your clock idea!
Thank you Melissa best of luck to you both!
I want that! I love that you made a clock. That is the whole reason I want this tool as I already make laser cut clocks but I want to add to my collection.
How perfect! Sadly this giveaway has ended, but I am giving away another laser if you want to join in on that one in my latest video.
ua-cam.com/video/GHFWKfaUeuU/v-deo.html
Never thought that you can just use your laser engraver to make the screen, so thanks. An advice for better and much cleaner results for the cutting process is to use a more powerfull air compressor with the laser engraver. It´s more noisy but worths it. Love the content. Keep creating. Cheers!
I believe it must be a stainless steel screen like these, I believe silk screens will burn right through.
I want that. Would be fantastic to get into screen printing, love your clocks and the sentiment really touched my heart. Being disabled I am always thinking about time and what I may need to give up in the future. Screen printers seem to be very friendly in terms of ability.
Victoria, time is our most precious commodity, I feel so lucky to have been able to get back majority of my time now to put it where I truly want.
I agree it is so important to focus on what is important to you.
"I want that"! It would make a great compliment to my new S1. This vid lead my mind into an array of product ideas far away from standard t-shirts. Thanks, really enjoying your content!
Great to hear it that’s really what I am hoping to do a little education and lots of inspiration.
Thank you Christie, yes the whole being able to have your ideas within the hour ready to print is really conducive to the creatives like us.
a week to get the screens made? one, fucking, week? man you can do that at home in an hour. you need a few things that will cost less than 65$ combined:
1- a screen
2- emulsion
3- emulsion coater
4- a suitcase
5- a table lamp
6- two lightbulbs (one of which emits UV light, the other one doesn't)
7- blow dryer
8- film positive of the design (if you have no film positives, just print on a normal a4 paper and coat the a4 paper with sunflower oil)
9- an a3 sized piece of black cardstock and a piece of foam sheet
10- 200 sqft space including a bathroom and a bath hose (I use my 50 sqft bathroom and not a single sqin of additional space)
steps:
1- put in the non-UV emitting lightbulb into the table lamp, light it up and close all of the other lights
2- coat the screen with emulsion
3- with the bottom side down, blow dry the emulsion until it no longer feels sticky
4- (optional) if you're going to store the screen with the emulsion coating until when you'll burn it, put it in the suitcase
5- put the cardstock on top of the foam sheet
6- put the emulsion coated screen on the cardstock, bottom up
7- flip the film positive horizontally and put it on the bottom of the emulsion coated screen
8- replace the bulb in the table lamp, put in the UV emitting light bulb
9- expose the screen for some time. you can experiment with the exact time of exposure, but I had zero problems after vastly overexposing my own emulsion (longer than 10 minutes for an emulsion with an optimal exposure time of 4 minutes), so you can be pretty liberal with it.
10- wash the screen to remove unexposed emulsion
The whole shebang takes less than one hour and costs less than 65$ to set up.
Glad this was helpful for you I still highly recommend it. Thanks so much for watching.
I WANT THAT! You are so giving. It's nice to see that in today's world.
Thank you for saying that, but truly I am blown away that people would want to hear me nerd out about these things and watch til the end. It’s people like you that make all of this possible. Sadly this give away did end but I am giving away a laser in my latest video if you would like to join in.
I am eyeing this tool too hard, I want that. It would expand my business/art in so many ways. I always love your videos and the challenge you do.
So glad you enjoy my work! Thank you for watching til the end!
I want that! Just getting into laser and have always wanted to do screen printing as well. They seem a match made for each other.
It makes sense to me too. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for watching my videos your support makes this all possible!
Thanks for the shout out! Great video, Great Content!
Same to you love your stuff!
I Want That! Your videos have been so helpful in my adventure into engraving. So much to learn but every day I am picking up a little bit more.
That’s what it’s all about right there thank you for sharing that with me!
I want that, I've always wantes to do screen printing but the multi color units require a house of their own, that little monster looks amazing.
Side note: I've always told people I can always make money I cannot make time, time is the only currency I take stock in.
Chris you are so right! Thanks for watching I have another giveaway on my last video if you want to join in.
John thank you so much, my wife always tells me she hates that I use my teacher voice in my videos and as much as I try I can’t shake it 😂
I want that! actually was looking at getting the s1 because its upgradable and has the option of the screen printer I was wondering if it could be used on other projects besides shirts so really great seeing it work on your clocks.
This really is such a great entry point for someone. Thank you for watching!
I want that! I’m actually looking at your video to show my daughter so she can see how to use it. Love the vid.
Aww love to hear that! Thanks for watching and sharing!
I WANT THAT!
We are about to open our shop and would love to offer this to our customers 🥰
Love your videos, keep it up and good luck 😊
Thank you Martin!
I want THAT!!! Awesome idea ....and clock. Good luck Norman 😊
Teresa thanks for watching til the end. Sadly this giveaway has ended but I have another one with a few more days left on my last video if you would like to join in.

I WANT THAT! New viewer. I used to do t-shirts for a company long ago but now with my creative juices flowing again I would like to start my own business and actually do something I love.
Thanks for watching I highly recommend people going after what they love!
That's a really cool project and I like that fact that you used a different material to screen print on! I WANT THAT?
Thanks for watching I have another giveaway on my last video if you want to join in.
I want that!
Definitely answered questions about reusing the screen and the best way to do it, thank you
Glad to share it I think I was just as curious as everyone else.
@@ChadsCustomCreations I was also thinking, does the emulsion have to be fully removed to reapply or can it just be filled in with new emulsion?
@@InfamousMufasa I think you honestly probably could get away with just spot applying.
@@ChadsCustomCreations I'm sure I'll be trying it that way after doing a test grid
@@ChadsCustomCreations did you ever get around to trying to spot reapply the emulsion as a test? Just curious?
I wish you the best luck in this new chapter. Have so much fun. Silk screening is so much fun 🎉 enjoy
Thank you so much!
I WANT THAT, Chad. 😊 Thanks for the great information and the laughs!
Glad you enjoyed it Andrew I have another giveaway on my most recent video if you want to join in on that one for a 10w laser.
"I WANT THAT." I started doing screen printing to help get my candle business started (making custom logo, advertisements and etc. to put on my shipping boxes.).
Awesome they really make shipping boxes look so professional.
I want that.!!! I'm getting a lot of inspiration for your video's. Just started out but this makes it more easy. Thanks for the help.
I am stoked to hear you say that. Sadly this giveaway has ended, but I am giving away another laser if you want to join in on that one in my latest video.

I want that. I'm starting my own business and that would be an awesome addition to everything else I'm trying to accomplish. Looking into buying a kit but the price is too high for me at the moment. Awesome video
Martin thank you for watching I’ll be picking a winner soon I am rooting for you!
@ChadsCustomCreations yes that would be awesome to actually win something in my life.
I want that!!!
Idk if it’s still going on. As a disabled vet on a fixed income. 1) I really need a hobby and 2) this would be amazing for my wife and I to do together 3) this would be great for my wife to expand her Etsy business.
Matthew thank you for your service, this giveaway did end but I just started another one for a 10w laser on this video. Just be sure to comment the new code word over there for another chance.
ua-cam.com/video/GHFWKfaUeuU/v-deo.html
I want that. Wife's been bugging me for years to get her a screen printing set up and this one looks like it would be perfect. (Plus it would give me a great excuse to buy an xtool :) )
This setup is great for someone starting out, the way it works with the laser just makes so much sense.
I WANT THAT!! I've been wanting to try my hand at screen printing. Now you've convinced me.
It’s way more enjoyable than I anticipated. I thought clean up would be harder but it really is easy. Thanks for watching!
Great vid!
Etsy is risky but they do bring you traffic with Shopify you gotta figure out how to bring your own customers to you.
@@ChadsCustomCreations Driving our own traffic is certainly a valid concern of ours.
I WANT THAT! Thanks for making such great videos! They have me watching until the end!! Don’t get rid of Norman!!! Lol
Joe thank you for appreciating the videos it’s very encouraging to hear that. Thanks for watching til the end!
I want that! I've always wanted to start my own t-shirt printing business! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Very cool!
I WANT THAT for creating so many different art things!! Awesome video about awesome tech!
Thanks for watching Milka!
i want that!!! to have a neighbor like you. man everything you like is what i like lmao.
Hahaha my neighbor now is over 90 years old when I tell him what I do he is like “sure, sure…”
Thank you for clarification that the screens are Stainless Steel !!👍
Absolutely happy to help.
Tell me more about drying canvas using a laser machine, how it is possible and with what type of nozzle or adjustment... Thank you for answering me.
Screen must be stainless steel like these to work with lasers.
I want that....Great video!!! My wheels are turning with the endless possibilities!!
Chuck I am glad to hear it my friend! You are entered to win thanks for watching til the end!
Hey, I'm (still) a teacher from Germany. I really appreciate your videos and have already taken away several suggestions.
It (Germany) is probably too far away - if not: I WANT THAT
Hello my German friend! Thank you for your continued service as an educator.
I just checked out your channel great work over there and holy cow that Sabre screen printing machine definitely makes the Xtool look like an easy bake oven hahaha 😂

Doing great,I hope to see you keep growing.
Thank you Victor that means a lot to me.
"I want that" I love creating things so this would be perfect

I want that. I was wondering about being able to reuse the screens. Glad you covered that.
It was my biggest question also. With it being viable it really makes it quite a convenient and affordable option to screen printing.
