Great interview and good questions! It’s not the first time I’ve heard him talk about his goal about playing with people and not having not write things other than vocals. I wish that wasn’t the case cause the way he does what he does is so unique and the way his mind works apart from just vocals is really incredible. I certainly wouldn’t mind another solo album. But. That’s in another life.
Great interview overall, it was really interesting hearing his insights on some of those topics! Just some minor feedback: sometimes it felt like Julian was about to elaborate further on certain questions but you kind of cut him off and went straight to the next question
Damn no album?!😢 The singles are good! But I still wish they'll do Voidz 3 pretty soon. Cuz one more cohesive body of work from the boyz would be the dopest!
Che bella intervista! Lui in vena di chiacchere tranquille... Che fortuna hai avuto! Forse lo ha infastidito il suono dei mesaaggi in sottofondo e sembrava poi volesse continuare a parlare...
Interesting to release singles over time. Then release an album including them in the end. I dont know if its the smartest move. Maybe each single spaced out will get more views and so more money. But if they do plan on releasing a record (made up of singles) months/years from now, i feel like doing that will lose them money as everyone has listened to all the tracks months/years prior. So is it better to just release a full album now? Or spread it across then release one?
I get the julian and the voidz are wanting to just make fun songs instead of putting energy/money into a full album. But Tyranny and Virtue were amazing because of the attention to detail put into them. The singles theyve released so far are good, but they are a bit too goofy. Prophecy of the dragon grows on me but the chorus ends awkwardly. And the intro verses are just a bit too cheesy. You got a good idea with the song. You got a new wave beat, metallic riff, punk verses, and a crooning frank sinatra/bing crosby chorus. But its just how the verses and chorus are dealt with makes it feel like a missed opportunity
"i always wanted to see the...yeah"
his voice is asmr
Es verdad!, es tan hermosa y relajante su voz🏝

He kind of definitely put down the members of the Strokes, particularly Fab and Nickolai
Awesome. Definitely. I saw them at Elsewhere in Brooklyn and they played there every weekend that June. I caught 2 shows.
