I wasn't saying he drinks. It was just kinda weird how he hesitated, and I picked up on it. If anything, it seemed like in reality he probably does here and there, you know, like on occasion, not to excess. But no need for his next 15 interviews to be plagued by "are you sober?" questions. Just my two cents. And when I said smoke, I meant weed, not cigarettes.
And I believe the interview is from 2009, during the beginning stretch of the phrazes tour.

You're wrong. In a telephone interview from his Phrazes Tour (ie. around this time), he was asked how he was doing, if he ever drinks anymore. He hesitantly said no, and said if anything he smokes. He claims he doesn't drink anymore, but admits to smoking still. I'm not trying to one-up you or anything, I just hate misinformation.

I am positive you are wrong about the drinking - he surely wouldn't have hesitated. He has been sober for years and fought hard to get there. And there hasn't been one video or photo of him with a cigarette since his son was born. Only lots of gum chewing, lol! His son was born in 2010 - so maybe your radio interview was before that? I also hate misinformation.
