I can’t imagine how difficult it is to carry around pots and other stuff while filming. Thank you Liz! I love the Baby Necklace! Your vlogs always introduce me to different varieties of succulents 💖
I have crassula baby necklace that got stretched during the winter. How would you recommend fixing it? Or would you just leave it? It’s healthy looking there just spaces between the leaves. Thanks. Love your channel.
@@ddhomestead6163 If it's newly acquired, give it some time to grow. If you had it for a while and the look bothers you, trim in their growing season to make it bushy.
I love how you care and maintain your succulents. And by golly in all your videos you pronounce the names so so so fluent I love to hear you say the name of your succulents it sound so awesome. Again another awesome video. 👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Liz. I will ask for your help since I do not know how to take care of this scholant and how much water to give him. The leaves are not swollen from water and the soil is dry. They said not to give him a lot of water and when I saw you then it confused him. What should I do and how much water to give him. Too bad you don't let me put a picture here. Thank you for the video teaches a lot
I cannot imagine how hard it must be to get out of your garden I have a small indoor collection of succulents I have grown to love them so much I enjoy seeing them propagating I enjoy seeing babies grow on the actual mother plant I just enjoy the whole process of caring for them and there are times when I go home on a break that all my break passes before I realize that I have not eaten or had anything to drink because I have been playing with my succulents
Thanks for that great video ! Please tell me, how often should I water my crassulas in Summer ? I am in France and even if I know that they are Summer dormant, the weather is hot in these days (30 degres), I am afraid of loosing them... Thank you !
As a rule, I always say water when the soil is dry or the pot is light. Otherwise, the plants will feel soft to the touch which means they are in need of water. Also, most Crassula are biennial. That means they will die after a couple of years or start to look scraggly. It means, time to take cuttings and propagate. Please watch video below at 4:07 to understand what I mean. Good morning, Liz! Both of your crassula are gorgeous! Flowers can help to identify the succulents! I have one succulent that I bought in April and don't know the ID. Its flowers are very beautiful, could you please help me to identify it, please? 🥰
I got here by looking for short videos on propagating baby necklaces, I stayed for your bubbly personality and love of plants. You really sucked me in here
They prefer a bit more watering in cool temperature and they're dormant in summer or when it's really hot. They will cook and die if watered when temperature is high.
Not the whole plant. Just some stems but as the flower dries up, new plants will emerge. You can also take cuttings from the flower stem to grow new plants.
My crassula props are taking forever to grow. They aren't dead, but they don't seem to be growing. They are only about 1/2" long. Maybe too short? They're in dirt.
Hi Lisk. I'm from UK and just want to say how much I enjoy your videos. Absolutely gorgeous collection you have. It's quite confusing here, it's advice not to wet the leaves and yet you even soak the whole plants for days! Is it because of the climate here, I wonder? We hardly get sun here in the winter and very wet ( as if we are living in a different planet) Listening to you I feel I'm back home😊
It's Spring here in Australia at the moment. Our Winter is quite wet so I don't have the need to water my succulents unless it's newly acquired and really dry; then I soak it indoors where it's warm to rehydrate them.
Hinahanap ko Dito sa US yung soil wetter do you know any brand you can recommend? Thanks for all video’s I hope to buy some of you pretty succulent varieties. Do you ship here in the US?
I don't think you get the same brand in the States. Just look for organic liquid soil wetter with seaweed/kelp extract. Due to strict quarantine laws, we can't send any organic matter outside of Australia.
Thanks for the information. I bought last week and it was very dry. The leaves aren't plump and fat. 😪 but its healthy! Ok.. I give water. Hopefully leaves will get fat again!!😁😁😁
Ok liz.. need your help. I bought a Springtime and another one .don't know the name..🤔🤔..however, they're small.. so what sz pot should I use? 4in? Ceramic pot?? Can they be planted together? I really want beautiful plant like yours..🙂🙂🙂
Some crassula are biennial which means they will die after a couple of years or so. Good idea to take cuttings when the weather cools down to propagate for the following year.
Second ✨✨😊 love the crassula I haven't have on in my collection yet 🤩 planning to get one ✨✨. .... BTW Liz what kind of fungicide is suitable for succulents??
So.....you pass 8 month without watering your clausula, and they were alive. Pease tell me if you kept for these 8 months the plant in a out place where it rains. Otherwise how your clausula survived 8 month with no water. Sorry, I really like you, I am only try to learn I am new at this.
Thank you for watching Beto. My crassula survived without water for a long time because of the soil mix and pot I use. They are grown outside expose to rain, sun and also frost in winter. To understand better, please watch my videos on my "How to make Succulent ADVANCE soil mix" and also my video on "Why Use Different Pots On Succulents."
They have a dormancy period during summer or when temperatures are high. That's also the best time to take some cuttings to propagate by removing the areas that have dried off (some are actually still green). In a few months, you'd be surprised with all the new plants you'd have. Good luck and have fun.
I finally found my BABY NECKLACE!! IM HAPPY TODAY😃😃😃😃😃
This is so timely for me as I just inherited some that are in terrible condition!

I'm glad and thanks as always Anne.
Watching Liz is such an experience. Always something new to learn...
Liz is a natural, she goes with the flow. Seemingly no effort but I doubt her garden so much has any mealy bug. Well maintained.
I do get mealy bug Nik as shown on my mealy bug videos. But they are....let me borrow your words....."Well maintained.".....LOL
Thank you Liz. You are always so energetic. You really brightens up my days.
You are so welcome Dotie and thank you for watching.
The weather's patterns are so interesting. Plant's over millennium has adapted too. Succulent are amazing!!!
I totally agree!
Hi Liz, what did you add in your water?
It's called soil wetter. It's a seaweed and compost solution.
I love to hear those bubbles 💭
What is the linguid w water?!
Soil Wetter.
I have crassula baby necklace that got stretched during the winter. How would you recommend fixing it? Or would you just leave it? It’s healthy looking there just spaces between the leaves. Thanks. Love your channel.
That's the perfect scenario to take cuttings. This would make the plant throw off new shoots for a bushier plant.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK it’s still rather small. Only maybe 3 shoots like 3-4 inches tall. How much should I cut it back do you recommend?

Is there a hole at the base of the pot?
Yes there is.
do you bath all your pots or an only a certain type of succulents??thanks
Only the ones that are bone dry and if the pot has a small opening that's difficult to get water into.
Thanks for the reply Liz

You are most welcome and thank you.
What do you use to treat and prevent pests?
To treat mealy bugs and aphids, I use Eco pest oil by Multicrop.
Beautiful plant Liz..👍
Thanks so much 😊
Excellent method of watering Liz, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
They are really lovely to look at
Hi Liz, should we only water Crassula once it dries out?
Like most plants...yes. Overwatering is the main killer of any succulent/plants unless they're water plants.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK So grateful for you ❤❤❤😊🌹
Thank you Lizk , the pot seems heavy for one hand. The plant so beautiful. Xx

Sun exposure helps a lot. If grown in shade, they stay green. Thanks for watching.
