    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 роки тому

      As a rule, I always say water when the soil is dry or the pot is light. Otherwise, the plants will feel soft to the touch which means they are in need of water. Also, most Crassula are biennial. That means they will die after a couple of years or start to look scraggly. It means, time to take cuttings and propagate. Please watch video below at 4:07 to understand what I mean.

    Hi Lisk. I'm from UK and just want to say how much I enjoy your videos. Absolutely gorgeous collection you have. It's quite confusing here, it's advice not to wet the leaves and yet you even soak the whole plants for days! Is it because of the climate here, I wonder? We hardly get sun here in the winter and very wet ( as if we are living in a different planet) Listening to you I feel I'm back home😊

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  4 роки тому

      It's Spring here in Australia at the moment. Our Winter is quite wet so I don't have the need to water my succulents unless it's newly acquired and really dry; then I soak it indoors where it's warm to rehydrate them.

      They have a dormancy period during summer or when temperatures are high. That's also the best time to take some cuttings to propagate by removing the areas that have dried off (some are actually still green). In a few months, you'd be surprised with all the new plants you'd have. Good luck and have fun.
