    Sounds like a very yummy smelling recipe. I have made it from one of your other recipes and it did a wonderful job cleaning my clothes. It’s all I’ve used for the last year. Only problem I was having was it getting really thick and either goopy or different times of the year, it would be really thick like a paste and it just became too messy for me to shake it or to mix it in water per wash load to get it dissolved But for anybody that might have an issue, this is what I tried with your same recipe. Just tweaking it a little bit : since I can’t use any soaps with mammal, I made my own cleansing soap, my own homemade soap 50% coconut oil 50% rice oil and then I heat up the grated soap with the washing soda and all of the water, and I found when you do it in that order all at once in the pot and heat it all up together you actually end up with a clear soap, cloudy or opaque, color or thickening you don’t have to shake it which I’m thankful for.

    Because so many have to use "He" laundry soap me included it still makes a great hand or hand washing soap. Dollar tree or craft store pump jar, Tessie's lable... A thoughtful and cute gift.

    I’m so glad you posted this. Dove has come out with some pretty fall hand soaps too. But they are expensive. This is awesome to know I can always make this ❤. I always learn something every post
    Do you have a suggestion of what type of bar soap is better than some others?

    I just wanted to add in that vinegar jugs work wonderfully to store your soap in. The jugs that I get are not the clear cheap plastic. They're white heavy duty jugs that last forever. I love my homemade recipe from Tessie. I use a paint stir tool hooked to the drill to stir it & I add plain salt. Not iodized. It works as a water softener.

      @@sarahrickman6609 I'll be honest. I pretreat grease spots with the husband's go-jo for his hands. I use a toothbrush to rub it. He's a mechanic, so it has to be a real degreaser.

    I know the liquid version of Ivory works great at grease cutting but then I wander how does the bar soap of ivory do at grease cutting? I think Im gonna go back to a cheaper dish soap eventually. Right now Im using Dawn but man it tears my hands up so bad by drying them out.

    I am curious. Doesn't the cost of printer ink surpass the savings on your homemade products when you are printing all these labels?

    • @HomesteadTessie
      @HomesteadTessie  19 годин тому

      It would for the average person but I do work for a family member and as a payment they give me Amazon gift card and I use that gift card to make all of my labels that I really enjoy

    • @HomesteadTessie
      @HomesteadTessie  Годину тому

      No homemade dish products do not suds but what I like to do sometimes is add a little bit of commercial to it and that will stretch it longer
